I need help ! I have a MacBook Pro and I want to buy an HDMI cable but not sure which one...
I want to buy a cord that will hook up from my Laptop (Macbook Pro) to my TV. I've already checked and my TV does have a HDMI port.
Im just not sure where I can buy a HDMI cable or which one. Suggestions?

I always suggest going to monoprice.com for cheap priced and good quality cables, adapters, aother videio/audio realated hardware.years.

Try the other USB port. If it still doesn't show up in Disk Utility then there may be something wrong with your Mac. Try something else in each USB port and see if it is seen. If the other thing, like a USB thumb drive, does show up in disk utiltiy then the USB ports are fine.
Power down the system and restart with the drive connected, go to DU and see it it is seen. -

I have a macbook pro and I want to use my canon firewire digital video camera on yahoo chat. When I sign on to chat and attempt to use a camera, the system automatically defaults to the built in camera on the notebook. Can I override that default?
You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)

Far as your Safari problem do these things until it's resolved:
1: Software Update fully under the Apple menu.
2: Check the status of your plug-ins and update (works for all browsers) also install Firefox and see if your problems continue. You should always have at least two browsers on the machine just in case one fails.

Presumably you have a very old MB Pro, because only the very first MB Pro model (produced January to May 2006) was ever offered with an 80GB hard drive. Are you sure you want to move your big drive into such an old machine? The MacBook must be newer, because the first MacBook was introduced just as the first Pro model was discontinued.

So what? The second-hand shop you bought it from didn't follow the right procedures. You also didn't follow the right procedures to make sure that iPhone was not in Activation Lock. It's like buying a car for cash but not getting the title signed over to you. It's not your car if you don' have the title. Only a proof of purchase from the ORIGINAL retail store would do any good at all. Return the device to where you bought it and demand your money back. hi i need help, im new on mac, i bought the las year a macbook pro 13's late 2011 with 4 gb of ram and 500 gb of hdd, i5 proccesor of 2.4. the mbp was working ok, until yesterday, i was working on keynote and then, it started to getting really slow, then it frozzen, and the little umbrella start to appears,i tried every thing, i shut down the power button, wait a minute then i power up, and nothing, i run the ccleaner, i check the hdd status, the ram, and everything was ok, i even boot up the system like fabric and still nothing i got the umbrella everything than i run an application. please please help me.

Help, I have a macbook pro and I need to re-load the OS, But...
I don't have any disks for it. Its a 4 yr old laptop ('08 mbp, 2.4). I put a new HD in (old one went bad) and I need to load the OS on it.
Problem is I have no disks to do so. I have another mac. Is there any way I can connect it to my other one and download the OS or anything? I have a 13" mbp with the disks, but I probably cant load the OS from those can I?
I have snow leopard disk I bought when I had leopard, and also have upgraded to Lion. But don't i need an actual disk to load a basic/main OS to upgrade to snow leopard then to lion?
Does the apple store do this? Or do I have to find a generic leopard disk and load it from there?
Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.You may be able to load the OS from your other MBP disks, if they are the same modal MBP...
You could also do a clone of your other MBP to the blank one, use Carbon Copy Coner and a FireWire cable. -

When you formatted the drive, before installing OSX, did you click Options on the Partition and select Mac GUID Bootable ?
Just because it mounts as an external does not mean it's a bootable Volume ... -

Just need to plug the TC in to the hub in bridge mode.. do not try and bridge the homehub.. it is not possible with the setup BT uses.
To bridge the TC.. plug it directly into a computer by ethernet.. no other connection to the TC or the computer.
Press and hold in reset until the front LED flashes rapidly.. about 10sec.
Release the reset.
Open the airport utility and setup the TC to bridge mode.
The actual method depends on version of the OS and airport utility you use.
This is version 5.
Sorry I cannot post the v6 as I am on a snow leopard computer now. But you go to the network tab, and choose off bridge mode for method of connection. It will be NAT and dhcp by default.
Then setup wireless.. you have a number of choices here.
Either setup with the same SSID Security and password, as the homehub uses.. or a different name, and password..
Each method works fine.. but you sometimes have issues with wireless channels.. for now leave it on auto and see what happens.. if you have issues lock down the radio channels on both devices.. use one out of the following on each, 1, 6, 11 or 13 in UK.. so say 6 on the homehub then 13 onthe TC.
Update the TC.. unplug fromt the computer and plug it into the homehub.

If you are running Lion then all drivers are distributed through Software Update. You do not need to install anything, other than to install the printer in System Preferences > Print & Scan. If you already added the printer while it was connected using USB, you might want to delete it and set it up again wirelessly to avoid confusion. Or, give them two distinct names e.g. "Photosmart D110 (USB)" and "Photosmart D110 (wireless)".
All scanning functions are now performed using Preview, but you can also access the scanner through the same Print & Scan preference pane, or with Image Capture.

FCPX wont't allow me to leave media in place
