dear all,
i need to ask is i am building a main GUI that allows users to create a GUI themselves by adding objects and components from the menu at the top of the main GUI.. like frames and text areas..
But the important thing is.. when i am running the main GUI... can i add objects to it, cos it means i will be running a GUI and adding code to the GUI at the same time..
Is this possible?? and yes how..
if not, then how do i implement it ??

Are you saying your making a program (GUI) that an end-user will change the compenets themselves? I think you mean your making an IDE or a Form Designer. You simply need to
create a "holding" class for all the GUI parts, then create a Properties editor that references all of the parts in the "holding" class. To display a part, just call it's relevent class,and other required parts.

I need help importing navigation bars and rollover buttons from fireworks, drop down menus and rollover states won't work!
ThanksIn my experience, the code created by graphics apps is less than satisfactory. And image based menus are very awkward for several reasons.
#1 If you decide to change your menu later, you must go back to your graphics app and re-craft the whole thing. After 2-3 times of this, it gets old in a hurry.
#2 Image based menus cannot be "seen" by search engines, screen readers and language translators.
#3 CSS styled text menus are better for your site's visibility, accessibility and they are a snap to edit in Dreamweaver.
That said, if you're still married to image based menus, use Fireworks to create images only. Use Dreamweaver's Image Rollover Behaviors to create your rollover scripts.

If is a fillable form, just tab to the next field. What we do not understand from you is IF it is a fillable form or not. If it is not, then the 3 options I gave can be used. Placing text is always a problem. You might find it useful to turn on the grid to help in placing your typewriter fields. However, if it is fillable you do not have to create any fields to type in, you just leave the tool as the hand tool and select the predefined fields with the cursor or the tab key and type accordingly. If the field is a checkbox, then you just use the space key to activate it.
So, are we talking about a fillable form or something that has the appearance of a form, but not fields to fill in. This is what Bernd has been try to find out and you keep suggesting it is fillable as we read what you have said.

NEED Help Importing new Activities.
Hi All,
I am working on a project where I have been asked to add two new activities to all the 841 WBS codes belonging to the project. That means I have to add around 1600 new activities. So instead of going through the tedious task of adding those manually, I was wondering if there was an easier way like importing from Excel or anything else to do this. I need to finish this within this week, so I need help urgently.
Please HelpYou can absolutely add new activities in via Excel import however how much easier this ultimately is depends on the structure of your project (ActIds, Codes, Relationships, etc) and the underlying data to be added.
In a large project I have some exposure to Excel is used frequently to make activity level additions/changes, but the schedulers spent a decent amount of time early in the project re-naming activity ID's for grouping purposes (I believe specifically to help with excel imports).
If your additions to each WBS follow any sort of consistent pattern then it may be quicker to use Excel. Even if it ends up not saving much time initially, at the very least you will have a process down for the next time you need to make major changes to your schedule. -

I got a virus on my mac so i took all stuff off my computer and put it on an external hard drive including an imovie project. I wiped my computer and imported all of my stuff including this imovie project. I downloaded Yosemite and the new imovie software and now when i try to import this imovie project it doesnt work and will not import it says its not compatible. This imovie project says its format is an imovie project, i just need to import it into imovie again so i can work on it, thanks.

I Need Help Importing my Contacts Onto my New (old) Palm phone.
I need to import my contacts onto my Palm Centro. As of now, they are in a .csv file. When I select import from the Palm Desktop file menu and browse for my contact file, it shows the file grayed out. Even if I instruct the program to allow all file types, it doesn't work. I've read that the Centro needs a .aba file- but I can't find a converter that works.
I'm on a Mac but it has OSX and Windows 7, so I can use any program/service that you guys can suggest. Even if you don't know a program that can do what I need, I also want to know definitively what file format my Palm Centro wants these contacts.
I know this is an old phone, but there must be a way to do this (and avoid typing in 400+ contacts).

Hello a I am writint this because I need help!! I keep getting a message in error on my Macbook Pro about my Photsmart 6520 is jammed and it says to check to see if any obstructions are bloacking it. Hoever this is like the 20th time that I check inside the printer over and over again. I make sure everything is in order, however when I turn the printer back on it will say the same thing and I keep trying to get it to work, but it won't!!! I just got the printer the day before yesterday and I caanot fix it, please help it is urgent.

for each mutation(unique column d through column p), I want to find out how many families have diagnosis 1, diagnosis 2, diagnosis 3...
The rule is the program will look at kindre_id first, to see if this person's kindre_id has been looked at. If
so, jump it/ignore it. If this kindred_id has never been looked at, treat it as a unique family. Diagnosis count for that diagnosis will then increase by 1. Sounds easy, but I don't know how to write that for loop that will do for each unique (column d, column c, ... column p) do the following... Does such a thing exist?Hi,

So, what can you do if you do not know the diagnosis values? The columns have to be hard-coded into the query, so how can you possiblly write something today that will have all the values that are in the table next month? You can't, but you can write something today that you can run (unchanged) next month which will write such a query. In other words, you can do dynamic SQL, where you run a preliminary query to get the different diagnosis values, write an appropriate query similar to the one above, and then run that newly-created query. The PL/SQL command "EXECUTE IMMEDIATE" can help with this.
The code above works in all versions of Oracle. In Oracle 11, there is a more straigtforward way of specifyng PIVOT in a SELECT statement. -
