I need help in German!!! (export lose image quality)
Wenn ich von meinen Fotos ein Poster bestellen will, kommt die Meldung vom Fotolabor, dass die Qualität nicht brauchbar ist. Dies, obwohl die Fotos alle scharf sind. Habe es inzwischen mit einem Poster versucht, dass ich schon einmal bestellt habe. Damals kam die Meldung über die Qualität als 'optimal' zurück und jetzt fürs gleiche Poster als 'unmöglich'. Dies ist meiner Meinung nach, erst seit dem vorletzten Update von iPhoto. Kann mir jemand in Deutsch helfen???? Besten Dank!

Ich wurde 'hinter den Kulissen' zu Hilfe gerufen, weil sich hier nur recht wenige Deutschsprachige tummeln.. meine Domäne ist ein ganz anderes Programm (iMovie) und mit Bildbestellungen aus iPhoto hab ich leider keine eigenen Erfahrungen..
Wir haben jetzt hier zwei Möglichkeiten:

Zunächst mal müssten wir ein paar Eckdaten wissen, .. was ist die Quelle des Bildes? Kannst Du in iPhoto/Apfel-I mal drücken, uns ein paar Daten zur 'Auflösung' geben? Und schließlich wie aus iPhoto heraus 'bestellst' Du? Ich vermute mal stark, dass da beim Export 'was schief läuft.. (denn wenn's vorher ging...)

kelli did allready ordered a 'high quality print out' with that specific photo, and got from the print service the feed 'file is excellent'... now, trying to place a 2nd order, 'same' file got a 'not usable for print/low quality' ..
I assumed, somthing got wrong in the workflow 'from within iPhoto to service' and asked kelli for some details..
if you like to join, I try to translate (and send kelli to a German speaking site.. )

Need help with full screen slideshow image quality
I am looking to display some images with full screen slideshow. The images I add are very large, over 5000 wide. When I publish the site some images retain their quality while others lose it and look like crap. Why would this be and how can I fix it. I tried to resize them to the 2560x1707 that muse does, and then add them. This doesn't change the end result of poor quality.
Go to Assets Panel and locate the image you want to use at original size. Right click the image and chose 'Import Larger Size'.
See if that helps retain quality for that image, since Muse does not resize/interpolate that image for you.

if i export my photos as originals (chosen from the drop down menu on the export popup window), will i lose any photo quality? i am hoping that the exported photo will have the same quality as the photo stored in iphoto. thanks!
right. and if you select 'current' i would assume that it would export the current version of the photo byte for byte without any quality loss as well?
i thought this was probably how it worked...just wanted to be sure because when selecting either option (original or current), the quality drop down menu is not available shows 'medium.' -

That's going to be a ridiculous waste of money and energy.
First of all, the current ATI drivers don't support multiple GPUs, so at the moment even a single 4870X2 would be only a 'normal' 4870 (which is quite a speed beast already). GFX drivers evolve rapidly, so things might look different next month, but when it comes to Linux and hardware there's one Golden Rule: stay away from the newest stuff and wait for proper support to get coded.
I also wonder what power supply could possibly cope with the differences between idle and full load; that's way beyond 400W. But then, I'm one of those "quiet&green" types where >100W idle is already a bit much.
I kind of understand that you want to get it done and not worry about hardware for the next 10 years or so, but that's simply not how the hardware world works and never did. At least not for the average consumer. -
Need help for printing/exporting in the right format

i'm layouting a magazine for my graduation class. And I almost finished it, but I've got a problem with printing it like I want it to be printed. I use the newest Trial Version of Adobe InDesign. The format of the magazine is A4, but when I export it as PDF (printing is the same) two pages (each A5) are exported on one horizontal A4 page. I want to have each page on one A4. Can somebody help me and say what I have to do, to get it work in my way?

ThanksExporting to PDF shouldn't resize the page. Does the exported PDF look the way you want it to?
Here's all you need to know to export the file:
File > Adobe PDF Presets > (pick a format - if you're printing from a desktop printer High Quality Print is a good choice)
It might give you a warning about Transparency Blend Space which you can change under Edit > Transparency Blend Space
Make sure spreads is not checked.
If the problem is happening from Acrobat, check all of the settings in your print dialogue.

Bad choice. Only one person involved in that thread knew what they were doing...and you copied from the wrong one.
Here is my procedure:Lose it. Custom download procedures are overcomplicated and now almost never required.

Need help: Problems with exported Dreamweaver html file in different browsers
I'm trying to send out a newsletter, and had our designer create it in Dreamweaver, and then export and html file which we uploaded. For some reason it looks wrong on Mac's, Gmail, and a few issues with Outlook. Does anyone know how to help with this, or had to work around this problem in the past?
I've attached our html file as well.

by enacting partial or comprehensive bans on polystyrene (PS) foam and/or non-recyclable disposable foodservice containers. Around the same time, a California statewide ban on the use of PS containers was tabled before reaching the State Assembly floor. Representative
Jerry Hill, one of AB 1358’s sponsors, pulled the bill due
to concerns addressed in the Appropriations committee hearing of the bill, regarding the fiscal impacts which
were not addressed in bill’s contents.
Largely represented by the California Restaurant Association, opponents of AB 1358 lobbied legislative representatives and argued there would be a negative fiscal impact on struggling restaurant owners and their customers in order to accommodate the more expensive alternatives to PS containers. There are the unquantifiable and “hidden” costs of contaminating our bodies and environment which would far surpass the fiscal impact on the plastics, restaurants and consumer industries. Studies published by the Foundation for Advancements in Science and Education have indicated that varying levels of styrene residues
are present in 100% of all human fat tissue in the
United States, as PS products are found to lose weight after in contact with hot or fatty/acidic foods and liquids, causing migration of the styrene into the food or fluid, ending up in the human body. On the high end, the levels were “one third of levels known to cause neurotoxic symptoms”. In the environment,
PS is rarely recycled and does not biodegrade. Supporting safer alternatives to polystyrene, in addition to the collection infrastructure and processing mechanisms for the compostable and recyclable products would help create more green jobs in the long run and would be a move in the right direction away from unnecessary harm

Need Help - Can't Import ANY Images into LR4.4 Since OS Upgrade
I can't import ANY images to LR 4.4 since upgrading my Mac OS to Mountain Lion 10.8.3 this past week. I downloaded LR5 Beta and all works well. I deleted LR5 Beta to see if it was conflicting with LR4.4 somehow and rebooted. Still no change. I can't import from my card reader (that says it can't even read the files) or from a location on my hard drive. I am beyond lost and frustrated.
The error message for importing is "Could not copy a file to requested location."
I need ideas. I am afraid to deleted and reinstall as I don't want to lose all my folders within. I looked all over the web and can't figure it out.
If you need any other info, please let me know. I am hopeful that someone can help me.I added LR5 again and that works perfectly, but LR4 is still not working properly. I opened the preferences and catalog settings to compare...and they all look the same. I am beyond baffled. I don't plan on dropping more money for LR5, so I need LR4 to get back to working properly.

New to Photoshop (CS4Ext) and need help with basic loading of images to new folder.
Just purchased CS4Ext and installed it. It's not showing up on my desktop as a quick entry icon. I want to simply load images from a portable hard drive (USB) to a new folder in photoshop so I can review them and begin to select and separate out some of interest to manipulate and share or get ready to print. It 's the most basic help one can need butI'm jut not clear on the workflow steps . Would appreciate someone walking me through the steps .

Let's see… First of all, this is the Photoshop Macintosh forum. Installed applications never, ever show up on your desktop as a "quick entry" icon on a Mac. Are you on a Windows PC maybe?

Just select them with your mouse in the Finder and drag-copy them into the new folder. Done. -

I have created a hotspot's over images in dreamweaver that link to an Jpegs to open and view in a new windows "that bit is fine"
When the images are clicked on they open in new windows, however the images is positioned to the top left of the windows and i would like them to be centered but I can not figure out how to do this.
Here is the code for the images in question, the main image is the openroadoffers which has 3 hotspot's placed on it (these 3 hotspot "referral voucher, xmasvoucher & newdriver voucher" link to jpeg images to be view in new window, these are the images i would like to be centered when the new window opens.

Need help for school! Imported images suddenly pixelated (CS6, Windows)
Hi guys,
Adobe InDesign CS6 Windows I'm a frequent user of InDesign, but I now suddenly am facing problems. Note: I use InDesign not only for print material, but also for creating PDF. I therefore do not necessarily need 300 dpi. Before: copy + paste from Photoshop or even web images into InDesign used to work. The images looked fine on screen and while printing. Now, when I import or copy + paste, all images look pixelated at 100%, high quality and overprint preview. It looks like InDesign is importing images 25% larger than their original size. If I resize the imported image to 75%, the image looks normal. 100% is always pixelated now! Did I mess up some sort op setting? I never had this problem before. Please help me, need this for school assignment!

JustinFirst of all, thank you for your reply. I just checked an example image and both are 72 dpi, in InDesign as well as in Photoshop. I even created a document for web in InDesign, using the 'web' & digital publishing option (which is 72 dpi) and placed the same image. At 100% pixelated, when resizing to 75% crisp. I don't know what to do..
The thing is.. I've never had this problem for years.. with importing images. Did I change settings or?

Need help trying to replicate this image

Download the demo of After Effects plus possibly the demos of some plug-ins (Sapphire, Delirium)... Tons of Lightning effects and even though it's meant for animation, nothing stops you from just rendering out a still frame for your banner. Other than that I don't see much in your sample and it could be reasonably well created even using basic Photoshop or Illustrator techniques... Really not sure what you are asking here. Sounds more like you are generalyl rather inexperienced in PS...

Get Pagination in power view report
Hi all We are trying to create power view reports in Sharepoint 2013 using SSAS cubes as our datasource. But most of these reports return a huge amount of data. Is there any way I can provide pagination (Like in SSRS reports) ? Thanks in Advance
