I need help installing adobe flash player 10.2.

Web sites tell me I need to upgrade/install a flash player, but when I do try to install adobe 10.2, it was giving me failed error message. I tried temporarily disabling my Nortons anti virus and firewall. I also unclicked so Adobe would not include Mcafee, which I don't want. I uninstalled all older versions of adobe( except Reader.) I am on Compaq laptop, OS is Windows Vista 32 bit. Can anyone talk me through this endless loop??

1.Open "Start", then in the "Start Search" bar input "regedit", then click "Enter"
2.In the opened "Registry Editor", find the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Macromedia -> FlashPlayer -> SafeVersions" and delete it.
3.Download the latest Flash Player from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/, and install it.

So I have been stuck trying to download adobe flash player for quite a while because when I go onto youtube it says the flash is out of date. Here are all the different things I tried to get the download to work.
1)
First of all the adobe flash has been downloaded into my download folder. So when I click on it, the adobe installer pops up. I type in my password. Then the little screen appears to start downloading. However it abruptly stops; the window says "Installation encountered errors" "Error has been encountered. Close this window and try downloading again"
2)I find out I have to quit the safari application when downloading the adobe flash. So I quit safari and try downloading the Adobe flash. The Installation error pops up again. So I guess that must not be the problem.
My current flash version is 15.0.0
3) I check to make sure that the flash player is enabled by my Safari browser. I did notice that the help page is slightly different from my own computer.
I don't have the "Allow Java" plug in, and I don't know if thats something I need to install?
What else do I need to do to download the flash player

I need help!! I bought my daughter a V-Reader from V-Tech for Christmas and I am trying to get it set up. I have gone through all the steps of trying to upgrade the software. However, when I try to begin the process it is telling me I need to install Adobe Flashplayer. So I go to Adobe & download & install Adobe Flash player 11 ActiveX. However, when I go back to the set up portion of this V-Reader, it is still telling me I need to install Adobe Flash Player. I am so confused & don't know what to do. I am not very computer savy, so whatever help I can get needs to be pretty easy to understand & would be extremely appreciated. I have Windows Vista, I really don't know what else you need to know. Am I correct to assume that you connect that E-reader to your PC, and you need Flash Player on the PC?
Do you know if your Vista is 32-bit or 64-bit?
You mention ActiveX, so you must be using Internet Explorer. What version do you use, and is it the 32-bit edition or 64-bit edition (Help, About Internet Explorer should tell you that)?
On Internet Explorer 8 or 9, check Tools, Add-ons: do you see Shockwave Flash Object, and is it enabled?
On Internet Explorer 9, check Tools, ActiveX Filtering: is it enabled? (It must be disabled for Flash Player to function.)

Not as most people think of Flash on an iOS device, no. The new version of Flash Media Server just provides a single server platform for streaming video both in Flash and HTML5 content formats. It won't work for Flash apps which is what most people want. And it's not something the user can install for connecting to Flash content;the provider has to implement it.
It may, however, speed up the availability of content in HTML5 format since the provider doesn't have to run separate servers. And just FYI, it's not new. This version of Flash Media Server was released back in September.

I have been on multiple site trying to play games or watch videos (e.g. YouTube) and keep getting an error message saying I have to install Adobe Flash Player in order to play/view. I have done this multiple times and currently have Flash Player 11 ActiveX and Flash Player 11 Plugin. What more do I need to do because it still won't let me watch the video or play the games!

You can't install flash player on your iPad, nor on your iPhone - it's not supported on iOS devices, and as Adobe have stopped development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites. Also some websites have their own apps in the App Store.

Hi. I can't seem to download Adobe Flash Player or have my Java Script in here. I had all this stuff in my old computer and when we bought this recently those items are missing. Being that I am Conputer Illiterate, doesn't help me. I have followed the instructions at best to my ability when reading the how toos. Hi eg, If you have Windows 7 the new one, then you have IE8 since it comes with it. We are only working on this one computer, right?
First of all you must be the Administrator in order to Install Flash Player, are you? You need to use that account.
Download this Flash Player Uninstaller to your Desktop:

Close all browsers, you only want to be looking at your Desktop. Check your system tray(the area by the clock) and disable any applications like messenger, etc. You don't want any applications there that use Flash.
Run the Uninstaller and when it is finished, restart your computer. Wait until it is completely restarted, then restart it again. When it is completely restarted, then Run the Installer. When that is finished, restart Once.
Then go to this site to test :http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Flash Player is no longer supported on OS X 10.5.8. The last version supported is 10.3.183.90. It is available for download at Archived Flash Player versions. But this has not been updated with recent security fixes and most sites will require a newer version of Flash Player. If your system is capable, I recommend upgrading to OS X 10.6 and then you can install the latest version (FP 17). Searching the internet for "upgrade OS X 10.5.8 to 10.6" will return many results on this.

I have windows 7, home premium. 2.5 GHz processor, 8 GB of memory, and 64 bit operating system.
i choose save and run from the adobe download/installation site. the status bar never gets past 0% and the installation error encountered is, "action list not found."
