i have fields : S_DISCTY FOR VBAK-ZZDISCTY1
S_DISPRT FOR VBAK-ZZDISPORT1
in data base tables zzdiscty1 lenght is 3 charaters.
my requirememnt is at selection screen the length of these field should make itas 2 characters.how can we do in program with out going to tables.my idea is
data: s_discty(2) type c.
select-options:S_DISCTY FOR VBAK-ZZDISCTY1
S_DISPRT FOR VBAK-ZZDISPORT1
pls guide me that is this code is correct.to make that field 2 characters in select options. itsurgent

but the requirement is on the basis of conditions my recording need to be changed .
dat means

for ctr i ill have to post data in screen number 200
and for wbs i ill have to post data in screen number 400 .
can we put some conditions in recording in lsmw ?
i no we can create multiple recording but how can we use them to fullfill my requirement .

Within LSMW, there is an option to write our own code wherein this code can be incorporated.
This is in the Field Mapping Option...
Just go to the Menu Extras->Layout
and click on the check box Form Routines
Global Data.
Here you can define Global Variables and also perform your ABAP Coding.

No. The contacts are "owned" by the Exchange server.
The Exchange server is owned by the company.
Everything on the Exchange server is owned by the company.
If you quit or were terminated, and your access to the system has been revoked, then there is nothing you and do at this point. Once you deleted the account from your phone, all of the associated data was deleted.
NEVER store personal information on company systems.

Here is the scenario.
I am extracting the data from r/3.There is one field called "ITM_DESCRIPTION" in this i am gettting an # char only for single record and due to this delta loads are getting failed.
we had already wriiten the code for eliminating # for that field but dont know its not working. So i am planning out to skip that particular record for a particular Purchase order number.
Is there any such code to eliminate the particular record.

Iphone 5 troubles, please help, its urgent!

I got this new iphone 5, but i wanted my music and photos to go on it from my ipod 4th generation, so i connected my ipod to my computer and itunes and backed it up, when i plugged in my iphone, its said to back it up (hoping my files would transfer like it intended it would, i did so) .. except it turned my iphone 5 into an ipod, they layout was the same, the settings were the same, please i need help and i want to see my iphone back to the way i had it when i got it earlier today. I've tried all the resets and it still won't work

Download the ipsw for your iphone, then open itunes and press shift (on windows) or option (on Mac), while holding that button click on restore, then you can selecte where to restore from, select the file you just downloaded, make sure is the latest version, and check if your phone is CDMA or GSM before downloading the file.

Installing Collaboration Suite on Remote Linux Server! Need Help! URGENT!

I am a beginner having few months of exp as Apps DBA. I was given a task of installing OCS on a remote linux server. How to install from my local windows desktop. Wht r the steps to be followed? I need help Immediately! Is it possible through SSH ?

You need to have:
- Ssh running on the remote server
- An ssh client on your local PC (e.g. PUTTY, it's a freeware), capable to tunnel and forward X traffic
- An X client running on your local PC
Then:
- On the server, configure X to accept connections from your PC:
export DISPLAY=your_ip_address:0
- Then, on the server, you have to enable your PC to use X but I can't remember the command.... will search for it and update the thread
- Configure and activate the local X client on your PC
- Configure PUTTY to forward X traffic. Connect via ssh logging in normally to the remote machine. Just leave the session open (maybe it's a good idea to remove any timeouts parameters). The SSH tunnel is now built, and the X traffic should be OK
- Test the connection: if you type "xclock" in the SSH window, a nice little analogic clock will appear on your PC desktop (if everything is OK).
- If the clock appears.... Well, go on with your remote installation! :-)
