I Need Help Making A Photoshop Mockup / Virtual Modeling Of My Product For Marketing!?

Hey Guys, I have recently begun to sell my own brand of cell phone cases. I recently took some pictures of some of them with my Canon T3i DSLR. Now, I have been trying to develop some sort of catalog or advertisement depicting my cases in different angles and colors they are available in. Although the pictures are of descent quality, when you compare it to the pictures of websites like OtterBox or Casemate, it seems like either they took amazing pictures of actual cases, or made a realistic mockup on photoshop. I own Photoshop CS6 and have been playing around with iPhone 5 mockups so I can use them later for display purposes as if it was on the case. However this is my major issue, I am not sure how I can convert or make this case in photoshop, so that the quality is much better. Any Ideas? ALL HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I'd say they are photographed, but if they are pure Photoshop, I always do my graphics flat, and make them three dimensional with shading, and enhanced highlights. Steve Caplin's 100% Photoshop is the book of knowledge on how to do that stuff. Fill Hunter's 'Light Science & Magic' is the must have book for product photography. Most of paid photography work is with product photography. If I was photographing those cell phones, I would start with a medium light tent, and use small black cards to create the desired shading effects. Consider every surface a perfect reflecting surface, and work out what you'd see reflected from that surface from the camera's point of view. Light the outside of the tent accordingly for highlights, and place dark cards accordingly for shading. I would very likely photograph the screen square on, and composite it onto the face distorting to fit with Free transform.

I looked on Adobe's site and they "advertise" fillable forms for the iPhone and Android markets, but on the Windows Phone tab, that is mysteriously missing. lol Maybe it will come later? Meanwhile, I'll google to see if there are any PDF viewers that can handle it now. Thanks for the reply. :-)

Use the anti-virus program to reverse everything it quarantined and in future ensure the anti-virus program settings let you check and decide what items to quarantine and what to ignore. Letting an anti-virus program quarantine things automatically is a recipe for disaster.
You could also check if you have a System Restore point from before the anti-virus run.

I execute Autoplay.exe at the root directory, I am welcomed, I choose English, I accept the EULA, I get the Install/Explore choices window, with the Install button already selected, I click the Photoshop button, the CD spins, and nothing happens. In the 2nd attempt I execute Setup.exe in the Photoshop directory, and nothing happens at all. I’m never even offered the opportunity to enter my product code. What should I do?

There could is likely a compatibility problem between the old software and the newer operating system.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

Needing help making a Slideshow in Premiere 7

Back in 2008 several contributors on this forum helped me make a slideshow using Photoshop Elements 6 and Premiere Elements 4, which I am forever grateful for. It was a long process as I had never made a slideshow before, but after much labor I created a wonderful slideshow of my Alaska photos with music. After a lot of reading I decided to upgrade to Elements and Premiere 7, which I was able to actually do for free. I purchased the Muvipix.com Guide to Adobe Premiere Elements 7 as I was told this would be a great resource to help me out. Well, here I am two years later trying to make a slideshow again and still as confused as ever. I am trying to make the slideshow in Adobe Premiere Elements, as I was told last time it was easier to do it that way if I wanted to add music to it. I am just getting started and am already confused.
My first question is: Am I best off making the slide show in Premiere Elements rather than Photoshop Elements? I want to add music to it.
I have tried using both the book that came with the program and the Muvipix book and I am lost on step one.
In the Adobe manual it says to deselect the Show Video and Show Audio buttons. Why do I need to deselect these?
In the Muvipix book it tells me to select a number of clips amd then either right-click on them or click on the ">>" button to access the "Create Slideshow" too. I can't find the ">>" button. How do I access the the "Create Slideshow" feature?
I have a question about the stills that show up in the panel. Many actual photos appear in this panel. However, there are also a large group of boxes with two swirling arrows, one green and one red. Why are they there rather than actual photos? I have tried double clicking on a few and they all bring up the same photo folder from "my pictures." I am confused.
Sorry if my questions seem very basic, but this is not what I do for a living. It is a once every couple of year hobby. Perhaps if I ever get it downpat I will do it more often.

These photos were still on the harddrive. I checked in Photoshop Elements and they needed to get reconnected. Here is what I think happened. When I download my photos, they go into MY PICTURES. When I move them from where they automatically get placed by the program, into a folder of my choice, they seem to get "unconnected". I was able to reconnect them and now they appear in Premiere Elements. Thanks for the tip which actually led me to a solution.

I am just starting and I was using Premiere Elements 7. I thought I was told back in 2008 on this forum it was easier to do it all in Premiere Elements if I wanted to add music rather than creating it in Photoshop Elements and then moving it to Premiere. As far as photo size, I am a real beginner here. I have no idea what size they are or where to look to find that out. All I know is that my Alaska slideshow turned out great and did nothing about changing pixels. Where would I find out how to change pixel size?

I did read about Show Docking Headers and did follow that instruction. That was the first thing I did, actually. However, when I am in Premiere ELements, I still don't see where I find the Create Slideshow tool that you mention on p. 59. I am a bit confused with this option. I can move the photos I want from the panel to the Timeline, but I am confused as to where the "Create Slideshow Tool" is located.

well you can find many tutorials about how to change background in Photoshop Elements. It ranges all the way from using magic extractor to making a selection using lasso and magnetic lasso tools. But I really prefer using a mask for it. Here is how I would change the background of image A and use Image B as the background.
Open image B in photoshop elements editor- expert mode.
go to file->place and choose the image A to place over image B
go to layers panel by choosing Window-> layers from menu bar. Right click the layer A choose simplify layer.
with layer A selected, choose layer>layer mask> reveal All from menu bar. It would create a layer mask on the layer A.
Select the mark layer of layer A, choose the brush tool and change foreground color to black. Paint all over the are you want to remove from the layer A. if you make an error, change the color white to get your image area back. it is a good practice to use lower opacity(~60) while using layer mark as it gives you more control over with how much opacity you want to remove the background

Need Help With Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0

I have and use Adobe Acrobat and three versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements (2, 5 and 7). I use version 2 frequently as I'm more familiar with it and it's simpler to use for what I need to do. All was fine until recently when my computer was installed with Windows 8. Now I can't save photo edits from Version 2.0...... it aborts each time I try. Why is that? It is costing me a lot of wasted time. The other versions that i have don't do that. Need help. Thanks. Stu Snyder.
