I need help making itunes see my iphone

i have 7.3 and an already activated iphone which has been synced before on a different pc. but when i plug it into mine its seen a an apple iphone but it thinks its a camera and it doesn't show up in my itunes device list. my ipod does but the iphone doesn't! ive tried reinstalling itunes but nothing works... any ideas?

what does 32 and 64 bit refer to? I have XP and under services.msc my Apple Mobile Device will not start. It works fine on my work PC but my music is on my laptop. Help, I've tried everything.

I looked on Adobe's site and they "advertise" fillable forms for the iPhone and Android markets, but on the Windows Phone tab, that is mysteriously missing. lol Maybe it will come later? I have both the silver discs specific to my iMac and Mac Pro models that you receive with your Mac, and a general copy of Snow Leopard that you buy from the store.
I used the silver disc that is specific for my iMac to install the drivers, and Boot Camp 3.0 on my iMac. But with the Mac Pro, the software is older and only has Boot Camp 2.0, thus I'm wondering if I can simply use the software on the general copy of Snow Leopard I own, or does the silver disc contain specific drivers for my Mac Pro that I need?
I'm under perhaps the wrong impression that the silver discs that you get with your Mac purchase contain drivers for your specific Mac model which you can't get from the general Snow Leopard disc.

You will need to find the prior owner or return the iPhone.

You do NOT have to plug the iPad into a power source to sync with WiFi. I sync without plugging my iPad every day. Like Dah-veed, I do not auto sync. If you have all of the settings configured correctly, the iPad does not have to be plugged in to a power source to sync with WiFi.
The iPad will sync AUTOMATICALLY, if the iPad is plugged into a power source and if iTunes is running on your computer. It does not have to be plugged in to sync manually.
When is set up to sync wirelessly - I made the selections like Dah-veed indicated above and then I clicked on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes to lock in the setting. You have to apply the changes that you make in the iTunes sync process.
BTW - I have the original iPad - not the iPad 2.

My husband dropped my old computer that my itunes was on. My iphone is 3GS that was using IOS 4.3.2 that it was synced with.
Got a new computer and downloaded itunes 10.7.
Was told to backup my iphone on itunes, update my iphone to the latest IOS (6) then to restore from backup.
My husband did that but he feels something happen with the restore from backup.
First we can't add any of the app's or songs to the phone or to get it to sync to itunes.
It will not let us apply only revert.
Any thoughts?

Got it to work by following a "More Like This".
Held down both the home and power buttons until the apple icon showed up.
Waited until the apple icon went away the pushed the home button and slid to unlock.
Hooked up the phone to itunes and surprise, iphone and itunes synced up!
