Hi All,
I need help on the below problem..
I've 2 Schemas called
1. MAXIMO and DBLink is GQMFOF
2. GQMMGR adn DBLink is MAXFOFNC
Now i would likw to retrive the data from both the schemas,
i.e some columns from WORKORDER table of maximo schema and some columns from ESTIMATE_HEADER table
of GQMMGR schema..
I'm trying to get the data using DB links, but it is giving TABLE/VIEW doesn't exist.
Please help me on this.

DBlinks are GQMFOF,MAXFOFNC..
Can anyone help me while writing the above query...

Column_2 is an amount that I need to total.
Column_3 and column_4 are starting and ending times. We can assume that they are all valid times (in 'HH24MI' format, plus a redundant 'A' or 'P') on the same day, column_3 is always less than column_4, and that the range of two rows for the same value of column_1 never overlap. Column_4 of one row may be equal to column_3 of another rows with the same column_1, but it will never be greater.
Each row of the output represent a contiguous group of rows (each ending exactly when the next one begins) with the same column_1, with the common column_1, the total of column_2, and the range of the group.
For example, the first two rows for a single group, because they have the same value for column_1, and one ends exactly when the other begins (at 9:00 AM). This group represents day 253800, from 8:45 AM to 10:00 AM. The totla of column_2 fro this group is .25 + 1 = 1.25.
The next row (from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM) is a group all by itself, because there is a gap one either side of it separating it from its nearest neighbor on the same day."

I've a SQL query which is written to retrive the data from 3 tables & 2 views.Again the 2 views are based on 3 tables each. When i execute the query in explain plan it is giving cost = 8870. i've rebuild all the indexes which are using in where clause of all the tables.Finally i've reduced the cost to 3347.But still it is taking much time to execute.
So any one give the complete details of "What are the steps to be taken(follow) while tuning this type of queries. What i've to do in this scenario to reduce the time taking.Indexes are there in all the tables.But 2 tables are scaning full though indexes are there.
Using Oracle 10g ver.
Executing in TOAD 8.1.6 ver.
Please help me on this. And if possible send me some documents.

Do you think that cost can be plotted on a linear scale? If so, then the cost of 3347 should be 3.7 times faster/better than the cost of 8870.
But it is not. Why? Because of the assumption what cost mean... and not knowing what it actually means and whether or not it can be used as an effective means to determine how much better performance is, why use it?
Surely, you need to know WHAT a number means before using that number to determine the better/faster option?
Bottom line - do not use cost unless you are intimately familiar with exactly what you are dealing with. Rather deal with what you can see and measure effectively and understand easily. And this is I/O. How much I/O is needed using SQL A versus how much I/O is needed using SQL B.
I/O is the most expensive operation in a database. The less I/O you do, the faster the SQL is. Which is we have features like indexes, partitions, clusters and so on - all these are methods to reduce I/O. To provide better/smaller I/O paths for the database to find the rows that we are interested in.
And surely dealing with I/O gives you a far better understanding of the impact of a query than a cost that you do not even know the unit type of?

I have a table per_all_assignments_f(seeded) which contains the employee related information.
It has normal hours and the assignment_id(primary key) in the table
The data is something like

last changed normal hours as on today. In this case 32.

and trunc(latest_date) between effective_start_date and effective_end_date
This will give me the latest normal hours of 40 but I want the last changed hours irrespective of how many ever be the changes.
hope I'm clear in specifying my requirement.

Go up to the top of your screen on iTunes and click on 'Store'. Then go down to 'Authorize This Computer'. That should cover part of it unless you've already authorized a bunch of other computers to use your account. If that's the case, you'll have to go to one of those computers and click the button just below it to 'deauthorize your account' from that computer. If you're not able to access the store, check your internet connection to make sure you are connected. Hope this helps.. good luck!

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.

If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:

Paste into the window of another application.
Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.

4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.

If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start Time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

Need help accessing the router web page. I have been told my router is acting like a switch and the IP address is not in the proper range. I have tried reseting the router (hold for 30 sec and unplug for 5 mins). Didn't work.

What router are you using? Almost all Linksys routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default local IP address, but there is at least one that uses 192.168.16.1 , namely the WTR54GS (not the WRT54GS).
You need to try again to reset the router to factory defaults.
To reset your router to factory defaults, use the following procedure:
1) Power down all computers, the router, and the modem, and unplug them from the wall.
2) Disconnect all wires from the router.
3) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
4) Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then release it, then let the router reset and reboot (2-3 minutes).
5) Power down the router.
6) Connect one computer by wire to port 1 on the router (NOT to the internet port).
7) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
8) Power up the computer (if the computer has a wireless card, make sure it is off).
9) Try to ping the router. To do this, click the "Start" button > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. A black DOS box will appear. Enter the following: "ping 192.168.1.1" (no quotes), and hit the Enter key. You will see 3 or 4 lines that start either with "Reply from ... " or "Request timed out." If you see "Reply from ...", your computer has found your router.
10) Open your browser and point it to 192.168.1.1. This will take you to your router's login page. Leave the user name blank (note: a few Linksys routers have a default user name of "admin" (with no quotes)), and in the password field, enter "admin" (with no quotes). This will take you to your router setup page. Note the version number of your firmware (usually listed near upper right corner of screen). Exit your browser.
If you get this far without problems, try the setup disk (or setup the router manually, if you prefer), and see if you can get your router setup and working.
If you cannot get "Reply from ..." in step 9 above, your router is dead.
If you get a reply in step 9, but cannot complete step 10, then either your router is dead or the firmware is corrupt. In this case, use the Linksys tftp.exe program to try to reload your router with the latest firmware. After reloading the firmware, repeat the above procedure starting with step 1.
If you need additional help, please state your ISP, the make and model of your modem, your router's firmware version, and the results of steps 9 and 10. Also, if you get any error messages, copy them exactly and report back.

ID on the Mac can produce reports that may (or may not) prove helpful in diagnosing the problem. I suspect this is something not directly related to InDesign, and maybe not to any of the Adobe apps directly since you seem to be having a problem in more than one. That often inidcates a problem at the system level.
Nevertheless, it won't hurt to try to gather the reports. You'll find driections for how to generate them, and to post them on Pastebin.com (then put a link to them here) so we can see what's going on at Adobe Forums: InDesign CS5.5 Not Responding

Need help regarding the location of Exchange 2013 Logs for parsing

Hi, I am trying to create reports based on the logs that are created on my exchange server. I am using
exchange 2013. My problem is that I cannot handle every log, and instead want specific types of logs.
I need help finding the specific locations of the following types of logs (If they even exist), so that I can parse them and use them effectively:
Audit Logs (Mailbox logons, Mailbox permission changes, Mailbox property changes,
Exchange store changes)
Mail Report Logs (Mailbox size and growth, Mailbox storage growth, Enabled users, Expired and Soon-to-Expire Mailboxes)
Exchange Traffic Reports (Details on size and amount of messages sent and recieved, Internet traffic [to and from], Traffic between exchange users)
I understand this might sound like a huge undertaking, but any help that can be provided would be appreciated.
Again, I need information on the locations of these types of logs on the exchange server, so that I can parse them. Collecting them all and searching through them is not practical for my available resources.

First design and implement a class called PairOfDice, composed of two six-sided Die objects. Using the PairOfDice class, design and implement a class to play a game called Pig. In this game, the user competes against the computer. On each turn, the current player rolls a pair of dice and accumulates points. The goal is to reach 100 points before your opponent does. If, on any turn, the player rolls a 1, all points accumulated for that round are forfeited and control of the dice moves to the other player. If the player rolls two 1s in one turn, the player loses all points accumulated thus far in the game and loses control of the dice. The player may voluntarily turn over the dice after each roll. Therefore the player must decide to either roll again (be a pig) and risk losing points, or relinquish control of the dice, possibly allowing the other player to win. Implement the computer player such that it always relinquishes the dice after accumulating 20 or more points in any given round.
I realize this is a long code, so it would be greatly appreciated to anyone who writes this one for me, or can at least give me any parts of it. I honestly have no clue how to do this because our professor is a dumbass and just expects us to know how to do this...he doesn't teach us this stuff...don't ask. "I'ts everyone else's fault but mine" attitude of your post.
If you are genuine, the program is very easy to write, so, your Professor is correct when he said you should
be able to do it. I'm still very much in the beginner category at java, and it took me only 20 mins to write
(+5 mins to design it on paper). 2 classes in one file < 100 lines. Most of the regulars here would do it in half the time / half the lines.
All of the clues are in the description, break them down into their various if / else conditions. Write it down on paper.
Have a go. Try to achieve something. Post what you've tried, no-one will laugh at you, and you will be
pleasanty surprised at the level of help you will get when you've "obviously" made some effort.
Again, have a go. If you don't like problem-solving, then you don't like programming. So, you gotta ask
yourself - "what am I doin' here?"
