I have a backberry 8310. v4.2.2.181I am with 02 uk. Anyway, I can't download apps, because apparently I have the older version of blackerry (don't get me wrong, its a brick of a phone) but.. I got told that I need to update it? Can somebody PLEASE give me help. I'd appreciate it a lot, thanks, Tom.

Need help Please. Which play nice with macs? Palm Treo's Or Tmobile MDA?

Hi all, I post on here from time to time, but hardly anyone ever answers my questions. Here's my dilema. I bought a Tmobile MDA over the weekend that runs microsoft windows mobile 5.0. And while playing with it have noticed some things about it that i think are'nt that good. For example, I like the fact that its a windows os, but think that it's flawed. I have done quite a bit of research but don't think that it's active sync software is even compatible with mac osx. so have'nt even tried to mess with it. now i'm still in the 14 day window and am thinking about returning it. but here's the thing....
I know that tmobile has EDGE, and it's considerably slower than verizon or sprints EVDO. (since i've researched it i know that edge is around the 70-170KBPS range when EVDO has 300-700KBPS) And tonight i was messing with this tmobile MDA and finally got it to work to connect to the net with it using bluetooth and it's "modem" ability to connect it to the web. But it S U C K S! i went to and did a bandwith test and i was only getting like 12.1-27.1kbps download (after running 2 tests) dude, it feels slower than dialup!
so with that bullet against it, comes the compatible part. I can't sycn this thing with my mac for NOTHING! do any of you out there have a palm treo? (either verizon, sprint, or att.... carrier X?) How does it sync with your mac? is it hard? any extra software i need to get/buy? have any of you used it to connect to the net? and if so, how's the speed? And here's an even bettter question... How long did it take to config it to work using the phone as a modem? Did you use bluetooth? or serial link? was it easy to config? Where did you find the instructions?
I know these are a lot of questions, but this is a large investment for me. I mean this thing ain't cheap and it does'nt really play nice. I don't mind paying a little extra, for some peace of mind, and knowing that it won't crash often and will work with my mac. Anyone out there got any other suggestions? I would really appreciate it. I would like your opinion on which one is the easiest to use that plays nice with a mac, and has a interface that's almost as nice. Thank you so much for your time. It really is a toss up cause Ive owned two Treo's and Ive read extensive reviews on Windows mobile devices and it seems to me like they're pretty similar in the way of hardware and software(minus the fact of using different operating systems). So I think the determining factor really ought to be more focused on how much you're willing to pay, and the level of support you get for each device. I recently got rid of my Treo 650 due to an interesting touchscreen problem and got a windows mobile device(should come tomorrow)
in the way of syncing with a mac:
The Treo is extremely simple to set up and use with a Mac(keep in mind Im not talking about the 700w/wx)in every aspect. Palm provides OSx compatible software(though its almost impossible to get rid of after installation). However, in my experience, Palm does not really do a good job in the customer service department. While they have a rather extensive support page for each device(some of the info is outdated), that's pretty much all you get unless you don't mind spending hrs scouring various forums. Talking to customer service is a joke. Like I said I had a problem with the touchscreen and the best the rep could give me was "try a hard reset" and "send it in for repair".
I have yet to experience what windows mobile will be like. At the very least with syncing, theres syncing software made by people who had OSx in mind(ie: Missing Sync or Pocketmac) who will probably be able to help out a lot more in this area and possible also be able to help out with the other issues you mentioned.

An iPhone from the US will be carrier locked to AT&T. The phone can roam on ICE in Costa Rica, but the voice and data rates are very expensive. Also, calls while roaming are limited to within Costa Rica and to the US. In any event, AT&T will not activate an account for you unless you live in their service area. None of the phone's features will work until it is activated by AT&T.

You should wait until the iPhone is available in your country or look at the linked article to find where you can buy an unlocked phone. Another thing to think about, the iPhone's warranty requires it be returned to the original country of purchase for service.
Have you looked at getting an iPod Touch? http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/ It has everything except the phone, camera and GPS. Cellular data is not possible but WiFi is.

If that link does not allow you to move the iPhone to what is essentially a different computer from iTunes point of view then there is no way to do it. I don't know why, but if you explain what issues you had trying someone may be able to help.

My itunes comes up with this when i try to download purchased songs: this devise is already associated with an apple id. this devise can be used with another apple id in 82 days. i need help to see if i can fix this problem please.

Sorry: once a device has been authorised for a particular iTunes account you can't change it to another until 90 days have passed. This is to prevent people cirumventing the restrictions of purchases to one account from consteantly swopping between accounts. You will have to wait for the 82 remaining days, and there is no workaround.

Need help please. Pasting chorus

I have been really unable to paste properly in my song..all I need is to repeat the chorus once...
I want to actually just repeat the chorus. I have selected Cntrl Apple...for all tracks. I select with the locator the area I want repeated (added to the length of the song). i go to regions cut insert by locators...I am completely stuck. Nothing I do works. Should I keep overlap on/off shuffle left/right what? currently have no overlap on. I want to lengthen the song with the extra chorus. I can't believe I can't get this. I have some virtual instruments and some regular vocal tracks. I have asked this question before and never acheived this edit. Please help. thanks

I tried this. no luck. here's the scenario and problem.
3 guitar tracks
2 vocal
3 virtual instruments.
1 ultrabeat drum track
if i copy and move as suggested above the guitar tracks stay in the same place? those guitar tracks don't move to fit the inserted chorus. it's sounds really messed up. In proTools shuffle mode will shuffle the tracks, fill up the space and make the song longer. All tracks can be affected making the song longer. in logic i just don't get it. For some reason in Logic some tracks stay when inserting a chorus etc. so i am really confused here and have just about given up unless someone can help me more. I don't understand how to insert an extra chorus keeping the rest of the song the same.I'm sure the virtual tracks have something to do with this problem...knowing to shorten, keep etc...are options I just don't get. hope this makes sense.

No Internet. Need help please!

Ok here's the story. I have an iPhone 3G with Net10. Everything worked fine until the 17th of this month then I couldn't connect to the internet anymore without wifi. I have contacted Net10 with this problem, was on the phone with them for an hour and half. After trying to install a new profile, that wouldn't install, and even erasing everything and rebooting, I still cannot connect to the internet. They told me that they have done everything they can and I now needed to contact Apple. That everything on their end was good and said I should be able to connect. Can anyone please help me? I would greatly appreciate it.

Depending on what version of iOS you have, that is an older AT&T carrier file. The current file is 15.5. That may be the one that Net 10 generally uses though. If you do not have access to the APN settings, then you need to contact Net 10 to find out if they have a carrier file that you can use and load on your phone to provide their current settings. This is more than likely your problem, your APN settings will no longer allow you to access Net 10's network. They are going to have to work this out, it really isn't an Apple problem. The carrier files can provide or deny access to setting areas and the APN area is one the most frequent denials. That makes it so people cannot try and make configuration changes and mess up their access.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

I have had issues with my iphone deleting emails without my consent. It seems as if it doesn't want to hold onto emails for an extended amount of time. I use my iphone for all work related emails and personal. I have created folders to store important emails in related to work. I found when I need to retrieve those emails, they simply are not there. I was told to delete the email account from my iphone, then to add it back into phone. I have done this and things seem fine, then after a few days it no longer works. I have researched this topic and see that I am not the only one with this problem. From what I can find no one seems to have the answer. Please help?

Chez moi, il y en a une kyrielle en dehors des dossiers standards parce que je renomme wxcvb.template quasiment tous mes documents Pages et wxcvb.nmbtemplate à peu près tous mes documents Numbers.
Ainsi, quand je travaille sur un document, je ne suis pas ralenti par Autosave.

Before you sync your iPhone make sure that all the music that was synced to your phonereviously has been copied to your iTunes on the new MacBook Pro. Then when you connect your phone you will be able to either sync all music or select only those playlists that you want on the phone.

I did go to their Web site and I see they have a support link. Perhaps you can get help there or in their forum.
If you are OK with a DVD with a basic menu, you could try the Share>DVD option in FCP.
