when i log into my account on abobe.com, i see the product key but not the link to install the software. please help.

I figured it out Mike~ I was using a 7.0 upgrade disc and needed to locate
my original 5.5 PS disc and install it first. The 7 went in easy after

I need help reinstalling the Adobe Creative Suite

I recently had to replace the hard drive on my computer, therefore I am now having to reinstall the Adobe Creative Suite. Whenever I try to reinstall the programs error 255 comes up and it does not allow me to install the software. Does anybody know how I can fix this error? I have tried searching on the internet and have gotten no help so far.

Running out the door right now (late) but here's my situation:
1. Operating system: OS X Lion version 7.3.5.
2. Something happened, and my photoshop program refused to open: "Disk is not available."
3. I have been working with programs installed from Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium.
4. I couldn't uninstall Photoshop using the uninstaller.
5. Finally was able to uninstall with AppCleaner.
6. Attempted to use my Creative Sutie disk to re-install Photoshop - was told I couldn't because of "error 255".
7. Haven't been able to find what "error 255" is.
8. I'm not a techie, am trying to be careful, am stuck.

am working in a printing press environment and i'm new user of acrobat 9
i have a problem with printing any b;ack & white PDF document as a gray scale the output is not 100% pure black
for example the 100% black fonts or lines came 85 or 90 % after printing
i couldnt solve this problem .. i used Acrobat 6 and the same document it worked without any probs ..

I don't have Acrobat 9 yet, but here is how to do it in 8:
The Acrobat conversion will indeed make a grayscale (one color) file. These settings will give you a starting point: Advanced> print production> convert colors> document colors- device cmyk: convert> action: convert> profile: gray gamma 1.6> blending profile> device gray> conversion options> don't embed profile.
To check your grayscale PDF, use the output preview (print production> output preview) and turn the black sep. on and off. Another option is to use Pitstop.

I have a serial number I have obtained 12-2013. I have formatted by computer and want to reinstall the Adobe Acrobat Standard. Where can I download it from?

It is a top-level link, but the link has been purposely hidden off the bottom of every page on their site unless you scroll down. It was certainly a conscious choice to do that. It would be interesting to hear the rationale.
One way to look at it would be: if things were easier to find on the website (weren't purposely hidden for beauty's sake) there would be less calls to support and if there were less calls to support there wouldn't need to be an embargo on Phone and Chat support for everything except basic installation and question related to Creative Cloud, and everything else directed to the forums.

Converting a word 2000 file into pdf using Adobe Acrobat Standard X

I reinstalled my Adobe Acrobat Standard X today, and tried to convert a *.doc word file into pdf, but the application could not open the word file and got stalled. I remembered that last time I installed the application the same probelm cropped up and I had to install a Microsoft patch that was required to do this, What is the patch file and how do I get it?

I answer my question myself. I have solved it myself. The answer can be found by searching adobe website. But I give it here if it can be useful to others. Go to control panel. Go to Add or remove programs. Click on Modify in the listed Adobe program. Click Next in the box that appears. Select Modify. Click on + sign against pdF maker to expand. Click on X sign against 'this feature is not available' which shifts on to the little box on the left of Microsoft Office. Click on Apply. Quit. Once the Microsoft Office becomes disabled in Adobe, Word will open in all places.

Qualifing product to upgrade to Adobe Acrobat Standard 6.0?

My hard drive crashed. I need to re-install Adobe Acrobat Standard 6.0 upgrade. It asks for the CD of the qualifying product. I have tried several Adobe programs I own. None were accepted. Does anyone know what the qualifying product was for that upgrade? Thank you.

I recently had a hardware malfunction and had to replace my Surface Pro. I purchased Adobe Acrobat Standard 9 and want to reinstall it on the new tablet but cannot find a link to the installation files. I have the serial number in my Adobe account but can only find install files for updates.
Can anyone direct me to the full installation link for Standard 9?

During the install of an upgrade, you should be asked for the serial number of the previous version. You should always keep backups of downloaded software and the serial numbers. As long as you registered, Adobe should be able to help you with the serial number. I am not sure why the Std version is not available for download. The Pro version is with a little searching. Though not said, I wonder if the Pro version would install with the Standard SN and work as standard -- I really don't know, but some software vendors wrap all of the versions into a single distribution and the only difference comes with the serial number.

At the top of the box it should say Adobe Acrobat Pro DC or Adobe Acrobat Standard DC.
On each of the two machines, what does it say? (I think something odd has happened)

My laptop came with Adobe Acrobat Standard X pre-installed. I have the card with the serial number on it that came with the laptop.

I don't have a previous adobe account, and also don't have a download history for this product, since it came pre-installed.

I was pointed to this page where I could download the correct previous version of either Acrobat Standard X, Acrobat Pro X, Acrobat Standard XI or Acrobat Pro XI.

Reinstalling an existing licience for Adobe Acrobat Standard XI

My computers harddrive that had the Adobe Acrobat Standard XI licience on it has broken beyond repair and now I need to install the pdf maker software on a new computer. This Adobe product was previously purchased last year.

No way to know that.You must contact your customer service ,give all you serials,deactivate the machine where the soft was installed,they will tell you which serial was on it.
