HT5312 I need help resetting my security questions so I can shop from the apple store.
I can't answer the security questions because I never set them up. I need to download n buy a game for my daughter.
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

also my ipod is a Nano 5th Generation....so when the account security person asks for ipod serial number..its completely useless because the serial codes only work for Ipod Touch and Iphones.
- Serial Code from Ipod= USELESS..
- Answer at least one of your security questions= I can't...and the whole reason im having this issue..
- Have a rescue email= trying to see if i can get one.
This issue is Reaaaallly starting to annoy me, so someone please help Thankss! xoWelcome to the Apple Community.
Start here, and reset your security questions, you will receive an email to your rescue address, use the link in the email and reset your security questions.
If that doesn't help or you don't have a rescue address, you might try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support -
Need help reseting/changing security questions
I can't reset my security questions. I made my Apple ID in 2011 or 2012 and have a rescue address and everything else, but most the Info I used was fake except the emails. When I go to Password and Security, there is no reset/rescue button/link. So I basically wasted $150 when I could of got a Google Play card instead like I usually do. I've never had to use security questions from apple until I redeemed the card and then tried to buy something a few days later. Doing over the phone won't work because the info is fake anyways so please don't tell me about the phone method. On top of this, I can't create a new account then transfer my funds over.
Question for apple (although they won't see this anyways) : Why is it so easy to change/reset passwords, but not Security Questions? If anything, it should be the password thats hard to reset/change. It makes no sense at all.If you had a rescue email address on your account then you would get the reset link in the Password & Security section of it - if you aren't getting the link then you probably only have alternate email addresses on it. You won't be able to add a rescue email address until you can answer your questions.
Without the rescue email address you will need to contact Support if you want them resetting. Have you tried contacting them to see if you can prove your id and that it's your account ?

The answers to your questions should only be asked for on the first purchase from a new device/computer, so they can only be reset via a rescue email address or by contacting Support to try and make it harder for somebody to purchase content on your account from their own devices/computers if they get your account's id and password. -

My old Apple ID is still showing when i need to reset my security questions. And i am not able to buy music on iTunes. someone help?!
All apps, all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account/Apple ID that was used to download the apps. You will need to use the Apple ID that was used to download the apps to install app updates.
Apps downloaded with one Apple ID can't be transferred to another ID and accounts can't be merged. -

I need help resetting my security questions
Usually you will need to contact iTunes store support but this workaround may help:
-On the device/computer that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
- Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select "done", in the upper right corner
- Sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you should be asked to verify your security code for the credit/debit card and NOT the security questions.
- At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security questions. -

tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
"done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and

should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.
Good Luck friends! -
I want to purchase an app from the App store, but I cannot because my security questions are not matching up. I need help resetting them.
If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account then the steps half-way down this page will give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use
