I need help setting this up. 2 wireless routers off one internet connection
I have a cable internet connection. I want to connect a netgear wireless router and then plug in a 80ft ethernet cable attached to a Linksys wireless router. Can the Linksys router be used as an access point? Or basically I want to use both wireless routers. I need help putting this together.

I have 2 Airport Extreme Base Stations, 1 is a 5th generation 802.11n and 1 is a 2nd generation 802.11n. I have 2 Extreme Express Base Stations which are 2nd generation 802.11a/n. The idea is to create a network that works throughout my 2 story house and extend into the garage. It's not a large house 1400 sq ft wood construction. The internet feed comes into the Hughes Net modem upstairs. This is where I want the main base station (5th generation). I eventually will connect a network drive and printer to it. I then want to place the second base station in the room directly under the upstairs room where the main base station is and connect my desk top computer to it. In the living room I will have one of the Express Base Stations connected to the Micro Cell and house stereo system. In the garage (50' away from the living room Express Station & 75' from the Main Base Station) I will place the other Extreme Express Base Station to be connected to the garage stereo system. All of this is with the idea to extend the range of my network for all my devices and airplay to my stereo systems.
Ok, so I have a lot of wireless devices. 2 2nd geneartion iPads, 2 iPhone 4s's, 3 Wi-Fi enabled Sony TVs, Apple TV (near the house stereo Extreme Express), AT&T Micro Cell connected to house stereo Extreme Express, Lorex Security DVR system (connected to main base station upstairs), Whole-House DTV Network system,1 Macintosh Quicksilver Desktop computer, 1 MacBook Pro, and 1 Mac AirBook. As you can see I need a lot of DHCP IP addresses.
So, how do I go about setting this all up? I have read countless articles and discussions but I still have conflicts. It usually mostly, but not limited to, effects my wife's AirBook. Not good at all! I used to have a WDS setup but I understand that the 802.11n Airport Extreme's do not support this. And when I try to distribute a range of IP addresses I run into problems. So can someone please help me resolve this headache?Configure the Extreme connected to the Hughes Net modem as your router. In other words in AirPort Utility, Network tab > Router Mode should be set to "DHCP and NAT". It will provide IP addresses to all the devices on your network.
All other AirPort devices on your network should be configured as bridges: Router Mode "Off".
You may want to configure static IP addresses for any equipment that is likely to be permanently installed. For them, there is no reason to have the Extreme issue an IP address, and they can keep the same one forever.
The Microcell may be able to connect to the Express's LAN port such devices that have to handle voice or other real time audio or video streaming are generally best installed using a strictly wired connection. The same applies to the Sony TV and AppleTV. Keep them on a wired LAN served by the Extreme, avoiding any reliance on a wireless link if at all possible.
The way to implement a complex network like yours is to add one device at a time. Ensure it connects reliably, then add another. You have a lot of work to do.
WDS can be implemented even with new Extremes but its performance is likely to be so unacceptable that it would be nothing more than an exercise in frustration for you. -
Need Help.. Mighty Mouse not working in Windows & Internet connection prob

The new Imac G5, after i installed windows on it. it can detect the mighty mouse but it need a passcode for it. i've tried a few passcode. such as (1111,0000,123456) but it still can't, can someone give me a clue about this situation..?? but the mighty mouse is connected when i'm running mac os X.. n after that i've another problem.. which is the internet connection will disconnect every half an hour when i'm running a windows.. i think that is my internet connection.. but i've already tested the wireless internet connection in my house by using another notebook and it works and not disconnected.. can somebody help me for this problem..?? i will be very happy to hear any solution from you all.. thx a lot before..

Need help setting up WRT54G as wireless bridge/repeater
I currently use a WRT54GS as a wireless router. It is located downstairs and can't be moved. I have a few devices upstairs that can't connect to the router because of a weak signal. I can not run a cable upstairs and have a second WRT54G router that I'd like to use as a wireless access point. Can I configure it to work as a wireless bridge or repeater? If so, will the 4 LAN ports work in addition to the wireless ones?
No. You cannot connect the two routers wirelessly, at least not with Linksys firmware. Perhaps there is third party firmware that will convert the WRT54G to a wireless bridge, but this will void your Linksys warranty.
Another option is to add high gain antennas, such as the Linksys HGA7T, to your WRT54GS. Also, try to align the router and wireless adapter antennas so that they are parallel to each other, but perpendicular to the line between them - this should maximize your signal. -
Need help with Airport Extreme and my new Verizon Fios Internet connection
I just got the Fios install, and the tech and I couldn't figure out how to use my Airport Extreme as my wireless connection. I'm not real tech savvy (and I've only been a Mac guy for about 18 months). My current arrangement is the basic Verizon setup with the Airport out of the loop. Have you tried resetting and reconfiguring the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS)?
Are you using OS 10.5 or OS 10.4 or earlier?
Are you using the round 802.11b/g AEBS or the square 802.11b/g/n AEBS?
If you are using OS10.5 OR the square 802.11b/g/n AEBS you should refer to "Designing AirPort Networks Using AirPort Utility" (direct PDF link).

Any devices connected to the same icloud account can sync all the data on that account. For this reason an icloud account is really for a single user.
On a mac, if each user has their own account, then the itunes for that mac account should be set up to connect to that user's icloud account (System preferences>icloud). -

It seems as if their outgoing mail server doesn't like to roam. CWMX is ONLY for use on the cellular network, and if you plan on using Wi-Fi to send e-mails periodically, CWMX will NOT work.
My solution: Sign up for a GMAIL account, and forward your e-mails to the GMAIL account (provided POP access is enabled). Just log-in to this GMAIL account with your iPhone, and you'll get all your e-mails! If you need any help, let me know, I'll be glad to get you some directions. -

Need help setting up and configuring rsync

I need help setting up, or rather configuring rsync to sync data between my brand new iMac and my Macbook Air.
Here is what I would like to:
- I want all of the files on both machines to be an exact mirror or copy of each other. Basically I have an iMac for at home, and then a Macbook Air for the road.
- The main folder on both Macs is called 'Sara' and I want the contents (mainly the 'movies' folder, 'music' folder, 'documents' folder and 'pictures' folder) to immediately sync up with each other when both of them are on my home network.
- this means if I'm working on a file at home on my Macbook, it will immediately write to the same directory on my iMac and vice versa (if I'm working on file(s) on my iMac, it will immediately save the contents to my Macbook). This way, if I'm working on last minute project my iMac, and then have to head out the door to the airport, the file is immediately saved to my Macbook (no usb for USB transfer).

ThanksIt's a lofty but unrealistic goal. Rsync does not run automatically. There is no realistic method of instantaneously synching two computers over the internet or even on a LAN.
I would suggest you might try using Synk Pro which, in theory, can keep two devices in sync when they are both on the same network (and both have shared and mounted drives.)
If you must do this with rsync then I suggest a Google search for rsync tutorials. -

The problem is when I test it on my computer it works but when I upload it to my phone it freezes when I click Sets Anteriores button.

Outside that, if you plan on accessing anything inside the SWF you should be loading the SWF into the correct context. Relevant sample code:

If you're doing this on iOS you'll need to stripped SWFs if you plan on using any coding (ABC) inside the files. You mentioned iOS so I won't get into that here, but just incase, here's info on stripping external SWFs:

I need help setting up a network
I am not sure how to go about doing this or if it even possible. I would like to setup a network where 4 or 5 computers will have access to each others shared folders and be able to used the printer on the main computer. I have one desktop that will be left on all the time with the printer also on all the time, which will allow 3 or 4 wireless laptops to have access to it. That part I can do, but what I would like to have also happen is allow other wireless computers to use my internet access, but not be able to see the computer that is always on. The computer will have sensitive files on it that other should not see. Can this be done on one wireless router or is it impossible? Or would I need to setup two completely separate networks? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
RokifireIt sounds like you may need some professional help with this problem.
The only other solution that I can think of, might be to get a wired router that supports VLANS (Virtual Local Area Networks), and then attach two wireless G access points to it. VLANS are supported in business routers, such as the Linksys RVS4000 (about $125). You can assign the wired ports 1, 2, 3, and 4 to 1, 2, 3, or 4 different VLANS. VLANS are used to separate work groups. Data packets on one VLAN do not "cross over" to another VLAN, yet all the users on all the VLANS can share one internet connection. If you attached two wireless G access points to two different VLANS, you could use one for your workgroup and the other for your employees. The two access points would have different SSIDs and different passwords. Your main computer would be wired to the router, on the same VLAN as your workgroup.
I must admit, I have never actually done anything like the above VLAN suggestion. This is only a theory of how someone might be able to accomplish your goal.
I wish I had a better solution for you, but maybe you just need a professional. Hope this helps.
