I need help to find my ipod touch

Hello, at 9/12/12 around 3:30 a boy stole my ipod touch 4g

- If you previously turned on the FIndMyiPod feature and location service is on, and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud, sign in, and go to FindMyiPhone. It the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- Report to police and change the passwords fro all accounts used on the iPod.
- Apple will not help

Police don't "track down" lost items, per se. They'll keep your information on file in the event that someone finds your iPod and turns it in. Otherwise, there's nothing the police can or will do in regards to finding lost property.
Sorry, but your iPod is most likely gone for good.
    Regards.

  • Help me find my ipod touch 4g??? find my iphone and icloud is set up and enabled

help me find my ipod touch 4g??? find my iphone and icloud is set up and enabled
also to people who is thinking about my id, i'm named after my world of warcraft character :-)

    Can't be done.
Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod.  If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number).  If any passwords are associated with a bank or any other savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief.  All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself.  This requires action before the device is lost/stolen.  If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

I  need help to unjailbreak my iPod Touch now. I need assistance. Please help me!

Jailbreaking voids the Apple warranty and also means that you will not get any support from Apple, including from this Apple forum. Jailbreaking can't be discussed in this Apple forum.

  • NEED HELP ASAP! Transferring ipod touch from 1 account to another.

My children just returned from trip to dad's where they each received ipod touches that dad synced to his account instead of waiting till they got home to sync to mine. We already have a very well established account we have had for years so I need to pretty much reset their ipods to my account. Not too worried about the 2 apps that were bought will just replace those. Can anybody help me with this issue. Thanks!

    Try this:
You Don’t Want to Sync Info on iPod touch to Your Computer
Replace contacts, calendars, mail accounts, or bookmarks on iPod touch with
    information from your computer.
    Replace iPod touch information:
    1 Open iTunes.
2 As you connect iPod touch to your computer, press and hold Command-Option (if
you’re using a Mac) or Shift-Control (if you’re using a PC) until you see iPod touch in
the iTunes sidebar. This prevents iPod touch from syncing automatically.
3 Select iPod touch in the iTunes sidebar and click the Info tab.
4 Under “Replace information on this iPod touch,” select Contacts, Calendars, Mail
Accounts, or Bookmarks. You can select more than one, if you like.
    5 Click Apply.
Information of the selected type is erased from iPod touch and replaced with what’s
on your computer. The next time you sync, iPod touch syncs normally, adding
information you’ve entered on iPod touch to your computer, and vice versa.
    (user guide page 106)
All other media content will be erased when you sync for the first time with your Mac and replaced with what's in your itunes library.

  • Need help getting app onto ipod touch

my computer recently died on me so i've got a lend of my friends laptop at the moment. i authorised the computer to my ipod and then purchased a few apps but it wont let me put the apps i downloaded on my friends laptop (using my account of course) onto my ipod touch. please can someone help me get this problem sorted.

What do you mean "it wont let me "?
You went to the apps tab, selected sync apps, selected the apps to sync?
    You synced?
    What happened?
You can sync ipod touch to only one computer at a time, so if you sync to another computer, it will first erase the content from the ipod.

  • Need help!!! ipod touch acting very wierd!!!

i went on vacation and i tried to listen to my ipod. i tried to turn it on but it wouldnt work. i tried to hold both buttons down and it turned on, but it would turn on, show the apple logo, shut off, and then do the same thing over and over until i reset it again.then it would just turn off. i tried connecting it to my computer when i got home. itunes said it was in recovery mode and i had to restore it. i tried but i got a message saying an unknown error 1603 occured. after that it wouldnt turn on at all. i looked again today and it turned on, but like before only if i held both buttons down to reset it. now it has a lot of random numbers and letters and then it says this at the bottom:
    Debugger message: panic

those are the only actual words on the screen. its really wierd. also, i clicked on "about itunes" in the help menu. it said itunes 7.6.2.9. i think thats the version of itunes i have. but my ipod was acting wierd before i plugged it in so i dont think that would make a difference. please help.

As long as you're still covered under warranty, you can still have your iPod serviced.
Taken from Apple's iPod touch Service FAQs:
    2. How do I get my iPod serviced?
Easy! If your iPod is still covered by [Apple's Limited Warranty|http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty> for iPod or APP for iPod, complete the [iPod service request|https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do] form on our website. Once we receive your service request, we will send you a shipping box including a prepaid preaddressed return shipping label so you can send your iPod to us. Important information about preparing your shipment and the carrier to be used will be included with your shipping box. Please note: a physical address is required. Apple cannot ship to PO Boxes or APO Boxes. When we receive your iPod and confirm that the service request matches the iPod's condition, we will send you a replacement iPod that may be new or refurbished. The replacement iPod will be functionally equivalent to your iPod when new.

  • I need help with a disabled ipod touch.

my friend gave me her old ipod touch.. and ever since she gave me it, it has been disabled. she didn't know how to fix it and neither have i.. i have tried everything.
everytime i connect to to the computer, it says that i have to unlock it through the passcode, but the problem is the numbers to enter it dont pop up.
it doesn't make sense to me.

"Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the
same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. "
" iPod touch Still Doesn’t Respond After Reset
Reset iPod touch settings. From the Home screen choose Settings > General > Reset
Reset All Settings. All your preferences are reset, but your data and media aren’t
    deleted.
If that doesn’t work, erase all content on iPod touch. See “
    Resetting iPod touch” on
    page 97.
If that doesn’t work, restore the iPod touch software. See “
    Updating and Restoring
iPod touch Software” on page 111. "
"Reset all settings: Choose General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information, such as your contacts and
calendars, and media, such as your songs and videos, are not deleted.
Erase all content and settings: Connect iPod touch to your computer or a power
adapter. Choose General > Reset and tap “Erase All Content and Settings.”
This feature resets all settings to their defaults and removes all your information and
media on your iPod touch by overwriting the data stored on iPod touch. "
"You can use iTunes to update or reinstall iPod touch software, restore default settings,
and delete all data on iPod touch.
Â If you update, the iPod touch software is updated but your downloaded applications,
settings, and songs are not affected.
Â If you restore, the latest version of iPod touch software is reinstalled, default settings
are restored, and data stored on iPod touch is deleted, including downloaded
applications, songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, and any other
data. In iTunes, you can also restore from a backup without deleting data stored on
    iPod touch.
Deleted data is no longer accessible via the iPod touch user interface, but is not
permanently erased from your iPod touch until it is overwritten by new data. For
information about permanently erasing all content and settings, see “Resetting
    iPod touch” on page 97.
    Update or restore iPod touch:
1 Make sure you have an Internet connection and have installed the latest version of
    iTunes from www.apple.com/itunes.
2 Connect iPod touch to your computer.
3 Select iPod touch in the iTunes sidebar and click the Summary tab.
4 Click “Check for Update.” iTunes tells you if there’s a newer version of the iPod touch
    software available.
5 Click Update to install the latest version of the software. Or click Restore to restore.
Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore process.
For more information about updating and restoring iPod touch software, see

  • I need help with clearing my ipod touch

I swiped my ipod touch clean to sell it and now its requiring a passcode. How do I clear it? I have tried every password I could imagine and now I am locked out.

Try and force iPod into Recovery Mode; that will by pass the passcode.
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.
