I need help with CS6 - it continues to ask me to install the full versions of the programs after I have installed them multiple times.

I am writing from my computer at work. I have been working here since May and have been asked to install the full versions of CS6 MANY times now. I work for a few days and then the count down pops up saying my trial has ended. I am not working in a trial version - in fact I never was. The IT dept. here has un-installed and re-installed the CS6 complete versions onto my computer about 4 times now. We also "checked for updates". None of these things seem to be working. And then today to find out that no phone support to being offered to CS users any longer - only Cloud users - I am very disappointed. We have tried every single thing there possibility could be to fix this. I use Photoshop and Illustrator every day at work and I can not afford to be locked out of the programs because the trial has ended again and again and again. Please help ASAP.

You don't need an Event Structure, a simple State Machine would be more appropriate.
There are many examples of State Machines within this forum.

According to the Genius Bar, my HD is dying. I need help with such things as making a boot disk, making sure back up is complete, etc. I have a White early 2008 MacBook running 10.7.3. It is backed up regularly with Time Machine to an external drive.

I am not a real tech type person. MAcBook white early 2008 running 10.7.3. I know I will need a boot disk to restart the computer after I have installed the new drive. I have purchased a Hitachi 500 G, 7200 RPM to install. The computer is backed up regularly using Time Machine to an external hard drive. I nned to know all the steps I need to do before physically changing the hardware.

Do you have your original drive backed up? Is it still working? If so I'd buy an external enclosure and boot from that. Then format your new drive and use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone your old drive to the new one.
If you don't have a backup, I'd buy an external drive, use carbon copy cloner to do a backup, then install the new drive and clone back to it.

Need help with a basic script to resize image then resize the canvas

I am new to photoshop scripting, and have come across a need to force an image to be 8"x10" at 300dpi (whether it is vertical or horizontal)
I need to maintain the correct orientation in the file, so an Action will not work, I believe I have to implement a script to accomplish this.
I have the below script so far, but I am not certain of how to input the variables / paramters

The fact that its failing on lien 5 lets nme know that I have the "If" portions of my script correct, I just dont know how to accomplish the functions correctly.

I know I'm late here but it seems to me your trying to automate a 8"x10 or 10"x8 300DPI print.
To do that you must first crop your image to a 4:5 aspect ratio to prevent distortion unless your shooting with a 4" by 5" camera. I wrote a Plugin script a couple years ago that could help you do a centered crop. You could do the whole process by recording a simple Photoshop action that uses two Plugin Scripts only four steps would be needed.
Step 1 Menu File>Automate>AspectRatioSelection (My script based of Adobe Fit Image Plugin script) Set 4:5 Aspect ratio, center, Rectangle, Replace, no feather. Llike Fit Image this script woks on both Landscape and Portrait images. The Selection will be correct for the images orientation.
Step 2 Menu Image>Crop
Step 3 Menu File>Automate>Fit Image set 3000 PX height and 3000 PX width the Image will be Resample so its longest side will be 3000 pixels. Adobe Fit Image Plugin Script always uses BICUBIC resampling. I have a modified version of Fit Image that uses Bicubic Sharper whebndownsizing and BicubicSmoother when up sizing.
Step 4 Menu Image>Size un check resample set resolution to 300 DPI.
When you play the actions the Script Dialogs will not be displayed and the setting use when you recorded the action will ne used.

Need help with new SoundBlaster ROAR SR20 or it goes to the trash. [Bluetooth]

Hey Guys, I just recently purchased a the Sound Blaster ROAR SR20 and even after 2 days of owning it and countless searches for help, I've come to no conclusion of why i cant get my laptop to recognize it [Bluetooth] and allow me to download any drivers for it. I have tried Connecting it VIA USB 3.0 whereas the drivers said they were successfully installed [and it works over USB] but when i attempt to re-connect via Bluetooth it shows that 3 separate Bluetooth Peripheral Device Drivers are needed and not installed. I am currently running Windows 7 (64x) Professional and have tried already using this method but with no luck.

Ok so i purchased a aptX enabled dongle, installed the drivers from a mini CD, and now when i connect using the CSR 4.0 Bluetooth driver that now shows up on my taskbar, a pop up displays saying that Im now connected to an aptX enabled device.
Now my problem is that under properties (when selected for playback) i notice that now my advanced settings are drastically...well...crappier. Meaning that the Default Format sampling rate is Locked at 1 Channel, 16 bit, 8000Hz which is telephone quality, and it sounds like telephone quality.
However when connect using my built in Bluetooth adapter my Default Format sampling rate is 2 Channel, 16 bit, 44100Hz which is CD quality and i have the option only one other selection....2 Channel, 16 bit, 48000Hz which is DVD quality.
One would think that the so called legendary aptX codec would allow for a higher sample rate so I am wondering if this is user error or perhaps i have an outdated driver (a problem since CSR updates/drivers are no where to be found on the internet)
Im Hoping that maybe you can help me resolve this issue since Ive hopefully narrow down the list of possible errors

Firefox --update to 4--requests a reboot to finish installation, and after several attempts it continues to ask me to rebootand the program will not open.

Firefox 3.??? wasworking well. I downloaded firefox 4, and all was well. It posted an icon on my desktop and then told me to reboot to complete the installation. I did, I did, and several moore times yhe computer has been rebooted, but with no success. I tried to remove the program using my control panel, and it could not remove it because it was not installed. My operating system is windows XP.

Try to run the Firefox program once as Administrator (right-click firefox.exe: Run as Administrator).
If that doesn't solve the problem then remove the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) to do a clean reinstall.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.

Need help with reformatting to GUID partition so I can install Snow Leopard

I'm trying to upgrade to Snow Leopard, but since I replaced my hard drive last year, it was automatically formatted to Apple Partition Map, I'm not sure of the proper way to fix this.
I have Time Machine running with an external 500gb drive, the same size as my upgraded internal drive. What procedures should I use to safely back up ALL of the information currently on my computer, reformat the main drive, then restore all of my current information to the new style partition? I have 5-6000 photos, as well as 1500-2000 mp3 files I hate to lose. Should I back these up separately to a DVD or something first?
Any help, step by step, would be helpful, as I'm not very experienced with such matters.

The brute-force approach would be to buy an external disk drive and use use Carbon Copy Cloner (http://www.bombich.com/) or SuperDuper! (http://www.shirt-pocket.com/) to create a bootable "clone" of your disk. Then verify that you can boot from the "clone", reformat your internal drive, then use the same software as above to copy your files back to the internal drive.

I need help with this code involving making stuff in safari appear the same in internet explorer

In the Preview mode, Safari shows it the way I want it too
look, but when I go to view it on Internet Explorer, the window
look blank. When I check the 'veiw source code' for it it shows all
the codes I have for it. I'm guessing because I'm using positioning
in CSS and HTML its not aligning right in explorer. But I heard
from one of my friends that there is a code that somehow makes it
so that the webpage looks the same for safari and internet
explorer. He said he didn't know the code, and I've can't find it
on the web so far, so maybe somebody here knows what I'm talking
about? He said all I had to do is enter the code in the code panel
and it should work.

I need help setting up a wireless network and getting connected to the internet. I have a RCN cable modem now and tried to install a wireless linksys today and it was a disaster

I have a MAC desktop and RCN cable that I have internet through now. I tried to set up a linksys wireless router today and could not get the network settings right, or figure out how to create the network, or get connected. I was successfull for only a few minutes because my phone and laptop had picked up the signal. However my desktop still would not connect to the internet. I had to restart my cable modem after because even after returning to directly inserting the desktop to the modem I could not get on the internet. I am able to get on now but would like to have wireless for my laptop and phone. Do I have to have an Apple router? Are there any easy steps I can take to set up a network without doing any damage to my desktop? I am so lost and have been getting pop ups and even my time changed.
Please help a new person to Apple!

I am brand new to doing a post, so please bear with me. I have Photoshop elements 8. the program is not allowing me to open the editor. Any ideas? I click on it and it acts like it is thinking and then nothing....

oh my!! i think this may be WAY over my head!! i have a computer savvy friend that I will get to look at your suggestion. fyi, I had called the help line and for $30 they can talk to me. he suggested that i buy Photoshop 9 and get free "phone talk".

Try making a direct desktop icon for the Organizer and Editor and that will bypass the welcome screen and any advertising.
On Windows right click on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
Browse to Computer OS C:
And find the PSE Organizer application in Program Files or Program Files (x86) on Windows 7 - 64 bit.
Inside the Adobe >> Photoshop Elements Organizer (yellow folder) you are looking for an application file “PhotoshopEementsOrganizer” with six small icons (e.g. representing thumbnails)
Select it and click OK
Click next
Rename by taking out Photoshop Elements leaving just the word Organizer
Then click finish
You should now be able to launch directly form the desktop by double clicking on the icon.
+You can set up a similar direct link to the Editor application (.exe file which has the blue PSE icon). As before take out Photoshop Elements just leaving the description Editor and it will show up clearly on the desktop.
+You can keep the standard Photoshop icon which links to the welcome screen but I prefer to delete it from the desktop. If you ever need to get to the welcome screen you simply click Window >>Welcome on the top menu when the application is open.

We have said thousand times that mixing dif. brand/make/speed memories is a bad idea, most with this Mobo that is very picky about ram. If you want to avoid slowdown problems, stay with only one stick ( the better one ) until you can buy at same time in same store, 2 identical memories to replace the old one.
