I need help with IPHOne 4s IOS 7.0.4 battery life not improving

Alright, I Ned help with my iPhone 4S battler life, it is horrible, it will drain in about 12 hours. All I do is check my email, text a few people, and check a few apps. When I may school, it is a hundred percent, then I check it during school etc, when I go to bed it is about 20-30% battery life. Need help. Any suggestions? I tried a hard resets and restoring to a new iPhone etc, nothing worked.

I"m not at all sure what is the problem when you are describing your battery as holding its charge for 12 hours???
How long do you want your device to hold its battery charge???
Please see this article for tips on conserving battery charge. But PLEASE if you are looking for a device to hold its charge for LONGER than 12 hours I would suggest an android.

Need Help with iPhone movies

I downloaded a movie through iTunes last night for use with the iPhone 3G and when Sync'd it does not allow it to play. Can anyone help? Do I need to download an App to convert or can I convert this directly through iTunes? I understand that the movie file has to be an MP4 which I believe already is when downloaded through iTunes directly? Please help.
Also, one more question.. Is there an App out there I could download to make use of a zoom in-out function for the built-in camera in the iPhone? How about recording videos?

Do you see the movie in your itunes libary? I believe of you highlight it and right click it will show a option to convert video for ipod (mp4). I have only tried this with my own videos and not anything from itunes.
If you set you sync options so you have manual control over file management, are you able to click and drag it on to the phone?

Hello. I am nearing the end of a YA (young adult/teen) thriller. I want one of my characters to be able to copy the information from a smartphone, (type not specified), onto a computer (type not specified). The information would include text messages and, ideally and importantly, emails. The character is an IT expert (I am not!). I don't need to write the details of how he would do this - I just need to know whether or not it's possible. Any help would be gratefully recieved. I have Macs, but not an iPhone (or any sort of smartphone). Many thanks.

What anti-virus software did you install? Although there's a lot of bad anti-virus software out there, no anti-virus software should cause such a problem. A gray screen with a flashing question mark on a folder means that no bootable system could be found, which means that the system was badly damaged or corrupt. Even installing bad software would not normally cause that, so either there was something badly wrong with the system already or the anti-virus software you tried to install was really, really bad!
As mende1 says, you need to reinstall the system at this point. After your system is back up and running, read my Mac Malware Guide. If, after reading that, you want anti-virus software, use one of the programms recommended in that guide.

Need help with iPhone 5 warranty

Well 2 weeks ago I brought a used iPhone 5 and I thought it was great for the first day and after that I only just realised how awful the battery is and when I say awful I truly mean AWFUL! You can literally watch it go down.. I have done everything in the setting so don't say change all of that stuff because its the battery! The charging is rapid but I think that iPhone 5's are fast in general. From nothing to full it probably takes 50-60 minutes. But it drains so quick it's rather scary.. But whàt I don't get either is that sometimes it's on 12 or 21% and it dies and says it needs charging then about 20 minutes later you can turn it on and it will be on same battery life? The phone was brought for a Christmas present in December he said ad should still have warranty but will they accept that? Another big thing is today I dropped it from 3 foot onto rather soft carpet and the screen smashed! I was gob smacked I couldn't believe my luck! I just hope they don't think I'm trying to get that raplaced for the screen..
Will they accept it and do they accept used phones (if they have a way of finding out)?

Well the warranty is transferable from one owner to another, so that won't be a problem. Just call apple do give them the serial number and ask if the phone is still under warranty. If it is you can take it into an apple store and thy will run diagnostics on it. They will see that the battery is faulty so they may replac th battery, however since you brok th scene they probably won't give you a new one unless you get really lucky and find a really nice employee. When I first got my iPhone 4 my friends threw m into the pool. Needless to say my phone was ruined. I took it to apple and the employee plugged it in and confined that nothing could be done. I was already prepared to pay $600 for a new one. When she came back she handed me a new one and told me do be more careful time and she didn't charge me a penny.

5 days old iPhone 5 iOS 6.1.4 battery life please help

My phone is 5 days old and i am so fed up with battery life. I disabled all data settings and location services and i have nothing in notification center for any push notification. But still i lost 40% of the battery in half a day with just 5 mins of voice call and 15 mins of texting. Phone was idle the rest of the time and when i used i had brightness at around just 10-15% this is my first iPhone and totally disappointed as i saw battery to last a full day of normal usage in the internet. You have to tell us what your usage pattern is like, what your reception/signal strength is, and what network type you are using (E/3G/4G/LTE)
To note, the more the screen is on (in long intervals 2+ minutes) the shorter the battery life is.
Streaming music over 3G will last 6 hours if the screen stays off for most of that time.
Email, messages, web browsing will last most of the day.
Since you have GSM, your phone should last 10 hours with light usage.

I updated both iPad and iPhone to iOS 7.06. Battery lif goes extremely fast, maybe a tenth of what it was.

I updated to the latest version of the iOS. My battery life on both iPad and iPhone have dropped to nothing. My phone goes dead by noon. I have turned off every "push" locator, everything I can think off. Is anyone else having this trouble?

On my iPad 3, I noticed with the update to iOS 7.0.6 that it turned on features by default that I had previously turned off, such as Bluetooth. You might want to check to see if active features are now turned on that you previously turned off. Some of them, like Bluetooth, will cause an additional drain on the battery.

Need help with IPhone 4S and upgrade for IOS 7

I upgraded my phone last night to IOS 7.0.2 and this morning I went through all the initial set up questions and my phone was working. Once I walked away and it turned off, it is asking me for a passcode to get back into my phone. I did NOT have a passcode before I upgraded do not know what passcode it would be asking me to enter. I have tried a couple different passcodes and nothing is working now my phones says it is "DISABLED". Can anyone help?

The upgrade to iOS 7.0 automatically turns on Passcode Lock....whether you want it or not. You probably don't remember the passcode you entered when prompted, but regardless, one was setup on the phone. To fix, & remove the passcode, follow the directions here to force the phone into recovery mode & restore it:

There isn't an iOS 9, we're up to iOS 7 on iPad, iPhone and iPod. Perhaps you mean Mac OS 10.9 (Mavericks)?

Need Help with Iphone 5

I recently bought the new I phone 5 unlocked and logged in with my friends apple Id to start the phone.Somehow when I was activating the phone,I chose one of my friend's number and now the iphone is having a verizon connection and also shows a number under contacts as "my number ********** ".
I have tried everything to remove the number but it won't go away.I think the number was associated to my friends apple Id and now this Verizon number has got a hold on my brand new phone.There is no sim in the phone right now.
I have reset the phone to factory settings a couple of times but the connection is still there.I would try to get a new sim and see if that can help but I was also concerned if my activity on facetime/i message is visible to my friend or anyone who can log in with my friend's apple ID.
Please help,Using the iphone for the first time and confused!!!

Need help with iphone battery charging please

hey all,
i have a problem with charging iphone battery,
i´ve had the phone for 8months now with no problems at all,
yesterday i used it as a modem for connecting to the internet and it worked just fine but the battery died so quick and now it wont charge at all
i used both charge connector and USB drive in the computer - nothing works, i already tried resseting it several times - didnt work either, i also tried plugging in a different cable - thta didnt help either so its basically turned into a brick, i noticed tho when i try to restart it there´s a couple wierd lines on my display but then it doesnt turn on or anything, it goes back to a black screen with battery picture and one red line indicating i need to charge it...
i tried to charge it overnight but the red line on the battery pic doesnt move or anything, there´s no sign of it charging at all and it doesnt even want to sync with the computer, i dont know what else to try
please help someone

If you are in a country where Apple provides direct support and has an Apple store, you can contact Apple or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

Need help with iPhone 5 photo albums

Hi everyone, new here and just got my iPhone 5 yesterday. I have been using apple products for quite some time now so nothing is really all that new too me and I understand a majority of its difficulties although I have reached a road block. Heres the problem:
I have been using my iPod Touch to take photos for a while now and I just recently got the iPhone 5. So I hooked up my iPhone 5 and synced everything and it all went pretty smooth and the only thing wrong is that I have two albums under pictures on my iPhone that contain the exact same photos. They are all pictures that were taken on my iPod Touch that were transferred onto my PC and then I used the folder that contained those images to sync with my iPhone. Now when I sync the folder to my iPhone, there is a "Photo Library" album with 206 pictures then the "iPod" album (the name of the folder on my computer) which also contains the same 206. Any way I can get rid of one of them? I have tried and only succeeded in getting rid of both of the albums nad not just one. Thanks for any and all help! Need Help with iclould on ios device

I'm new to the community and tried to find the answer without asking but no luck. My iPhone 4s has been backing my photos to icloud for past 4 days. It looks like most of them are there but tells me I have over 500 more to go, and when I signed into icloud on my pc and clicked on the photos icon today, I got an error message that says my photos has stopped responding and an error prevented this application from working properly. If I end icloud backup will I lose my photos or will they still be on my iPhone? This has slowed my computer so much that I had to disable wifi to write this message. I do have iTunes 12 and I see where I can do backups to both icloud and iTunes but can both be going on at the same time? My iPhone is 4S with version 8.1.2. Will appreciate any help as I don't want to lose my new grandbaby's pics.

OK, if you are seeing the error on the iCloud control panel under Photos Beta, then you are looking at the iCloud Photo Library option. In looking at the support site info, it does indicate that if you max out your storage it will stop uploading photos:

I am not running Yosemite on my Mac, so I do not have this feature fully available to me, so I'm not using it. What I'm not 100% sure about is whether the photos on your device are considered "originals". If they are, then you can safely turn off iCloud Photo Library and import your photos to your PC the old fashioned way:

You also can purchase additional iCloud storage if you think that the photos you have uploaded have maxed out your iCloud storage (remember, the amount of storage being used includes backups). You can check the amount of storage you are using by going to Settings>General>Usage and under the iCloud section it should show you how much storage you are using and how much you have remaining. I can tell you that I have around 975 photos on my iPhone, and with the videos, they take up over 10 GB of storage on my iCloud backup. So, it is possible you have maxed out your available storage. The first link tells you how to get more storage so that you don't have to reset or redo anything. Once the storage is upgraded, it sounds like it will then upload the remainder of your photos. I wouldn't go with less than 200 GB if you are going to be uploading a lot of photos.
