I Need Help With My 4th generation Ipod!

Ok. I have a ipod 30gb(not colored). I found it recently and i decided to use it again so i updated my itunes and stuff and then i plugged it into my computer. A message appeared and had two buttons Update(i think) and Restore(i know for sure). I pressed the restore button and thought it would be fine but now the ipod has an adaptor of somesort pointing to a wall plug. What do i do to reset it?

When updating or restoring some iPods via a usb connection, it needs to be plugged into power via the charger to complete the process, and this is why you see that icon displayed.
You may be able to complete the process via a car charger, or via a powered firewire port on the computer (with the required 6 pin cable of course) if you have access to either of those. Or maybe visit an Apple store if one is nearby.

I make no claims as to whether this will work (but I've seen other posts where it has), but merely point it out.
Other than that, your iPod cannot be used until you complete this process.

On a windows go to the control panel and find where it says to "add or remove programs" Go in there and find iPod and iTunes and remove them. Then restart your computer and put in the nano disk and install the software for the nano

!NEED HELP ASAP! Problem with syncing 4th generation ipod touch

I just bought a new ipod from a friend and itunes won't sync my music and apps onto it because it says it "waiting for changes to apply", what does this mean and how do I fix it? Please help ASAP so I can listen to my music before my 6 hr trip in a couple days.

I figured it out myself the easiest and best thing to do (or it was for me at least) if you already have your own music just go to settings on the ipod and then go to General, then reset, then tap Erase all Content and Settings and accept it. Now my ipod has all my music and apps on it and music cloud which it didnt have before lol. But thank you for the help its greatly appreciated .

Need help with download problems on Ipod-5th Generation

Hello everyone. Another newbie here who is not technologically inclined but love their Ipod. I just purchased new music videos from the Itunes store, connected my Ipod to the PC and left everything alone until I saw the update complete prompt. However, I am now in a panic because not only did it not sync my new purchases but...all of my previously purchased TV shows, music videos, etc are no longer on my Ipod. I did not request nor click to have anything erased. What can I do to restore my complete library of tunes, videos, tv shows, as I have spent a lot of money on my purchases for this Ipod?
Also, while I'm asking for help: do any of you have problems with downloads timing out before the downloads from the Itunes Store are complete? I purchased several music videos during downloads that said there was an error due to download timeouts; not only did the items never show up in my library but never synced to my Ipod. There were error codes assigned to these videos but...who do I do when this happens? Thanks in advance.

Need help with 'Video' selection on iPod

I have a 30g iPod 5th generation, and I try to download some videos, but when I try to watch them on my iPod, they just play the sound, and don't show the video screen. They are in the mp4 format, if that is the problem. If anyone knows what the problem is, please help me.

Need Help with this PDF generation

Greetings,
Our company had a subcontractor (that is no longer
available) create a small system for a client that allows the
client to input some text in a flash form, and the system places
the text at a certain spot on a previosly created PDF document. For
80% of the users, this works perfectly and then can print and save
the customized pdf document. For 20% of users, they can see and
print the customized pdf, but when they save it, there is no
customization (area is blank). Can anyone help us understand why
this happens, and how to fix?
HERE ARE DIRECT NOTES FROM OUR CLIENT:
Users are able to input their customized info.
The customized info shows up in the PDF on the brochure.
Users can print the brochure with the customized info.
Users can save the BLANK PDF (without their info)
Users can NOT save the PDF with their info in it.

Do you know what exceptions are? If not, read about them in the Java Tutorial:

In the method run(), you call the method MakeConnection(), which might throw an IOException.
Since IOException is a checked exception, you must in the method run() specify what you're going to do when an IOException happens. You must either catch the exception (put the call to MakeConnection in a try / catch block) or indicate that run() can throw an IOException by specifying it at the beginning of the method:
public void run() throws IOException { ...
But note that you'll just be moving the problem to the method that calls run(). Somewhere in your program you must catch and handle the exception.

Need help with exclamation on my ipod nano?

I keep getting a folder with an exclaimation mark. I have followed all the instructions on the support page but nothing is working, it is STUCK! I downloaded all the software as the quick start brochure indicated before I connected my ipod. Any suggestions?

yes, unless the app is intended to run in the background, like a music app maybe. For those, you can turn them off from the app itself

Need help with sync waveform generation to 60 Hz trigger.

I can't sycn an output waveform to a 60 Hz trigger with Labview 5.1, Win NT, PCI-6024E. I started with retriggerable_AO_easy_5.vi. I couln't load the advanced version due to missing files. If I set a small number of data points per cycle, it seems to trigger fairly well, but skips every fourth cycle. If I set more than 100 points/cycle it does not sync to the trigger at all. Any suggestions or examples of how to do this?

With a 60Hz trigger you will have 16.67 milliseconds to complete your analog output operation of 100 points. What is probably happening is these 100 points are taking longer than this amount of time and the output operation is not completed in time to be set up to receive the next trigger.
Normally 100 points would not be a problem; however, I cannot verify this with LabVIEW 5.1 because I don't have it installed as it is quite an older version. We are currently up to version 7.0 and a number of significant improvements have been made to both LabVIEW and our new NI-DAQ 7.0 driver. Especially in regard to retriggerable operations in NI-DAQ 7.0 which has made it incredibly easy.
I found the retriggerable_AO_easy_5.vi you are referring to on
our website. This is the first time I have seen this particular example for a retriggerable operation and not what I would expect. Placing AO Start in the while loop, as well as AO Wait, will slow down the loop and is probably the reason you are being limited to a low number of samples. I would definitely recommend, at the very least, the advanced example if you wish to exceed 100 points per cycle. In order to run the advanced example you will probably have to upgrade your NI-DAQ driver. Try version 6.9.3. However, I would definitely recommend an upgrade to LabVIEW 7.0 and NI-DAQ 7.0.
