How is the help really bad? What ain't they been able to do?
Did they respond to you? Did they not respond?
Did they tell you how to fix it?
Did you ask for clarification or further help from iTunes support?

What version of iTunes do you have installed? If you are trying to update to iOS 6 you need iTunes 10.7 or later.

Well you need to add the email account back to get the calendar entries. Transfer them to another email provider. Then delete the account you don't want.

have an iPad 2. It synced all my information from my Android to the ipad. I cannot get my calender on my ipad to sync with iCloud. Can anyone help?
Okay, this is interesting, because I was under the impression that FOR IOS DEVICES, contacts are NOT included in a backup, since they are already on icloud (in the contact database). And since you erased the contacts, then they are gone for good. One recommendation I've read about is, assuming you have a computer like a Mac also connected to the same icloud account, you can get the contacts back from a backup of the computer, like Time Machine. However, I don't know where you'd look for that file or files (even though the contacts are stored centrally on icloud, I'm guessing they are also stored locally in a cache file).
I think another suggestion made here (IIRC) is to turn off syncing of contacts (on the device), then do a restore. Since there's no sync, icloud's empty contact database will not overwrite the local contacts on the deviced. Again, I may not be remembering correctly. Some of these older posts about this same problem were some time ago.
I'd welcome anyone who really knows the details on this to add to the discussion here. This is an issue faced by many posters. -

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. After you update to iOS 5.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

my macbook pro is connected to internet via my time capsule but my iPad and iPhone won't. it shows wifi connection to the time capsule but when i go on to the internet on the iPad or iPhone, it comes up with network error. can anyone help?
This can be caused by a number of issues.
Was everything working and then suddenly stopped??
Or is this a new clean setup and has never worked.
Do you have a cable modem which is not a router and the TC setup in bridge? That will cause it. The TC must be in router mode, ie dhcp and nat.
Check the IP the MBP gets including dns and gateway..
Then check the ipad/iphone.. post what IP dns and gateway (router in applespeak) they get. -
I'am getting an update error when am trying to upgrade to newer version (4.3.2)..the error message content shows that i tunes could not back up the i pod,because the back up was corrupt or not compatible with ipod..can anyone help me out to fix this issue

Is everybody having problems with Canoscan drivers-can anyone help, please?
After starting with Leopard, my LIDE25 refuses to work, and the window from the toolbox tells me a driver cannot be found, even after redownloading the driver, which, according to the Canon website, is perfectly compatible with the LIDE25 driver. Someone is not being honest, or Apple has made a huge mistake in the bug department. My smart mailboxes don't work either.Can anyone help? I see there are others with Canon scanner driver problems on this forum - what can we do? I'm so tired of fragile scanners breaking down and needing replacement - they are like VCRs in this respect, somehow a crap technology - but this time it's surely not the scanner to blame.
I have a Conoscan 8400F scanner, and after downloading the latest driver it actually works BETTER than it ever has... used to take almost 3 minutes to scan a 8.5 X 11 page, now less than a minute.
