Hello! I have had a very frustrating experience with Comcast customer service and billing department and my service hasn't started yet!! I am afraid I will have to cancel or opt out of your services.On Monday I contracted an online offer. Here's the screen shot of what I contracted. I tried to click on the blue letters "pricing & other info" but nothing will pop up never, so I was not able to check the "little print" that usually hides extra fees or anything. Go to your website and tell me if anyone can retrieve that info, from Chrome in my Galaxy Light phone, I couldn't. On Tuesday I receive the confirmation of my order, but the details of my bill say something different from what I contracted!! Here's a screen shot of the order confirmation. Now, as I took screenshots of the steps it took me while I was contracting the service, here's the info of what I selected. I remember I choose self installation and the cheapest shipping and handling, but I thought it wa going to be free too, as the one that was $29.00 something was the expedited shipping. Today, I needed to set up my username and password and choose the papaerless bill so at 11 am I called the number 1 855 230 4264 they said they could not help me and sent my call to other number, they helped me with the username and password and sent my call tbilling department so they could give me info about the carges on my confirmation email. The lady that picked up was super rude, first she said that I contracted the service at a comcast office, which I didn't, then she said some nonesense and ended up cutting my call and sending it to somebody else. I ask for her supervisor or manager and she told me he would be able to talk to me. Put me on hold and I had to wait more thatn 15 minutes for somebody to pick up my call again. The man that picked up, asked how was my day and since I said that I was not as good as I would wanted to, he put me on hold again and picked up 5 minutes later. By then I was very super angry >:-( but I needed to finish this matter of knowing how much do I have to pay every month, so I tried to be patient, maybe a little sarcastic at a time. He started to give explanations that were not right, cause I answered with the info that I had. Then finally he said he had the offer I purchased and that probably it was shipping and handling what i was paying for, but he couldn't say if this was going to be my monthly statement or not. He sent me to somebody else that was supposed to tell me this, but the man that picked up told me my monthly statement was going to be $54.** plus tax!! Even worse!! He didn't knew about the online offer or whatsoever. Please people!!! All I want to know is if this $60.** was a one time charge or my monthly bill. The state tax is around 10% in TN so what I expected to pay is $55.00 tops Who am I supposed to ask if neither your customer service or billing departments have the information??????? I don't know where else to post this question since this isn't really a Photography forum but rather a Lr4 forum. But I'm still very new to Digital SLR camera's and need some help.
I currently have a Canon T3 w/ the 18-55 Kit lens. I'd like to take photos of Landscapes, mountains and waterfalls, etc... But at the same time I need the ability to take photos up to or around 6" away from objects. All the different numbers on the lenses are confusing the heck out of me and I was wondering if there would be any advice anyone could give me on a good Canon lens or two which will get me where I want to be. I want to take close-ups and distant/wide shots. Lenses certainly aren't cheap so I want to make the right decision.
I just recently purchased a book by David Busch on the T3 and it's capabilities but I still have a way to go before I finish the book.
Can anyone offer some advice or insight into the importance of using the right lens or even a recommendation of a Canon lens?
Thanks!The Canon 50mm F2.5 EF macro is a very old lens design from about 1987, but is also the sharpest 50mm lens that Canon makes with exception of the $1,500 50mm F1.2 L series lens. If needing to stay under $300 it is a good macro close-up lens choice. It actually provides .8x magnification on a 1.6 crop camera (1.6 x .5x), so you're not losing much close-up capability over the more expensive Canon 60mm macro lens' (1.0x). The 50/60mm lens focal length does "duplicate" what you already have with your 18-55mm lens, but the F2.5 versus F5.6 maximum aperture will allow you to shoot in much lower light levels and with very good image sharpness wide open (i.e. F2.5). Concerning your question on lenses suitable for "motion" I have no idea where you read that and what they meant. IS (image stabilization) lenses are designed to allow you to "handhold" at lower shutter speeds without blurring the image, but will not necessarily help with subject motion. For moving subjects you should turn off IS and use the fastest possible shutter speed (high ISO setting and wide aperture). IS for macro photography is generally not too helpful and only the new Canon 100mm F2.8L IS macro has it.
All things considered you may be better served by first purchasing a telephoto zoom, which will allow you to truly "zoom" in on subjects.......not just make tiny subjects bigger. As I already suggested you can do the latter by "cropping your 12mp T3 close-up images in LR. Up to 2X crop should still allow sufficient image quality for enlargements and will give you .68x magnification with your 18-55mm at 55mm (2 x .34x at closest focus).

These are both low-cost Canon telephoto zooms, with the EF-S 55-250mm being the better choice for your T3. To clear up any confusion the 'EF' (Electronic Focus) lens mount was introduced by Canon in 1987 for film cameras, followed in 2003 with the EF-S lens mount designed specifically for the new 1.6 crop factor APS-C sensor DSLR bodies. The 'S' stands for "Short Back Focus" of the Canon APS-C sensor camera body, which allows the rear lens elements to extend further into the mirror chamber. This is why EF-S lenses can ONLY be used with crop-sensor bodies, but the EF lenses can be used on both crop-sensor and full-frame sensor bodies. This also means EF-S lenses are less expensive to design, since they image on a smaller sensor area. To give you an idea of what differences to expect in lens performance, take a look at the entry-level Canon 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS (~$240) compared to the L series Canon 70-200mm F4 IS lens (~$1,250):

Keep in mind these are 100% image crops. If you were to compare 8" x 12" photo enlargements taken with both of these lenses on your T3 the differences would be much more subtle! Need help with Click Frequently Asked Questions in iProcuremenet purchasing

In iProcurement purchasing homepage, we have 1. Click Frequently Asked Questions and 2. Review Purchasing policies on the right side as links. When we click Frequently Asked Questions, its taking me to a page where standard FAQ is there.
Now my requirement is, If "Frequently Asked Questions" link is clicked, then a page should open and in that i should put two links , one link will open the standard FAQ and the other link will open the Companys FAQ. Can we achieve this thru AK Developer. When that link is clicked, what is happening in the background. Actually I checked in Applications-->Messages, by typing "ICX_POR_PRMPT_HOME_FAQ". In the message, I got this "Check Frequently Asked Questions". This is what getting displayed on the homepage as a link. All this information, i got it from PORHOME.xml page in which a function calling that FAQ() is also written which is calling another function called "callHelp('faq')". But I couldnt see the callHelp() where it is called. Is there any other way to implement this.

Need help with a currently "in-use" form we want to switch to Adobes hosting service
Hi, I am in desperate need of help with some issues concerning several forms which we currently use a paid third party (not Adobe) to host and "re-distribute through email"...Somehow I got charged $14.95 for YOUR service, (signed up for a trial, but never used it)..and now I am paying for a year of use of the similar service which Adobe is in control of. I might want to port my form distribution through Adobe in the hopes of reducing the errors, problems and hassles my customers are experiencing when some of them push our "submit button". (and I guess I am familiar with these somewhat from reading what IS available in here, and I also know that, Adobe is working to alleviate some of these " submit" issues, so let's don't start by going backwards, here) I need solutions now for my issues or I can leave it as is, If Adobe's solution will be no better for my end users...
We used FormsCentral to code these forms and it works for the most part (if the end-user can co-operate, and thats iffy, sometimes), but I need help with how to make it go through your servers (and not the third party folks we use now), Not being cruel or racist here, but your over the phone "support techs" are about horrible & I cannot understand them or work with any of them, so I would definitely need someone who speaks English and can understand the nuances of programming these forms, to please contact me back. (Sorry, but both those attributes will be required to be able to help me, so, no "newbie-interns" or first week trainees are gonna cut it).... If you have anyone who fits the bill on those items and would be willing to help us, please contact me back at your earliest convenience. If we have to communicate here, I will do that & I can submit whatever we need to & to whoever we need to.
I need to get this right and working for the majority of my users and on any platform and OS.

Phenix City, Alabama 36869Well, thanks for writing back...just so you know...I started using Adobe products in 1987, ...yeah...back then...like Illustrator 1 & 9" B&W Macs ...John Warnock's Helvetica's....stuff like that...8.5 x 11 LaserWriters...all that good stuff...I still have some of it working on a mac...much of it was stuff I bought. some stuff I did not...I'm not a big fan of this "cloud" thing Adobe has foisted upon the creatives of the world...which I'm sure you can tell...but the functionality and usefulness of your software can not be disputed, so feel free to do whatever we will continue to pay for, ...I am very impressed with CC PS on the 64 bit PC and perhaps I will end up paying you the stipend that you demand for the other services.
So I guess that brings us to our problem.. a few years back and at the height of the recession and near bankruptcy myself, I was damn lucky and hit on something and began a small arts and crafts supply service to sell my products online to a very "niche market" ...I had a unique product and still sell that product (plus others) online...My website is www.vinylcouture.com...Strange? Yes...but there is a market it seems, for everything now, and this is the market I service...Catagorically, these are 99%+ women that use these "adhesive, sticky backed vinyl products" to make different "craft items" that are just way too various and numerous to go into... generally older women, women who are computer illiterate for the most part...and all this is irrelevant to my problem, but I want you to have every bit of background on this and especially the demographic we are dealing with, so we can get right to the meat of the problem.
OK...So about two years ago, I decided to offer a "plain sheet" product of a plain colored "stick back" vinyl... it is available in multiple quantities of packs ( like 5 pieces, 10 pieces, 15 pieces, in a packi & so on)...and if you are still on my site.. go to any "GO RIGHT TO OUR ORDER PAGE" button, scroll down a little...and then to the "PLAIN VINYL" section...you will see the Weebly website order process.) You can back out from here, I think,..but, anyway this product is available in 63 colors + or - a few. So then the problem is, how do they select their individual colors within that (whatever) pack?... .
So my initial idea was to enable a "selection form" for these "colors" that would be transmitted to me via email as 'part" of the "order process".. We tried getting our customers to submit a " a list" ( something my competitiors still do, lol, poor bastards)......but that..is just unbelievable..I can't even begin to tell you what a freakin' nightmare that was...these people cannot even count to 10, much less any higher... figuring out what colors to list and send me... well, lets just say, it wasn't working......I had to figure out a better way...Something had to be done.
So after thinking this all out, and yeah...due to my total ignorance, i figured that we could make a form with Live Cycle Designer (Now Forms Central)...(back then something that was bundled with Adobe Acrobat Pro), I believe, and thats what this thing was authored in... and it would be all good...LOL!
Well not so simple...as you well know, Adobe Acrobat would NOT LET YOU EMAIL anything from itself.....it just wouldn't work (and I know why, and all that hooey), but not being one to take NO for answer,.I started looking for a way to make my little gizmo work.. So I found this company that said they can "hijack" (re-direct actually) the request to email, bypass the wah-wah, and re-transmit it to the proper parties.....for less than $100 a year, I think...its called http://pdf-fillableforms.com/.
A nice gentleman named Joseph Silva helped us program the thing to go to his servers and back out. Please dont hassle them...I need them...for now..it basically does work...try it...you should get back a copy of the form that you filled out...good luck however, if you're on MAC OSX or similar...
I have included a copy of both of our forms (and feel free to fill it out and play with it)...just put test somewhere on it...(and you must include YOUR email or it will balk)..they are supposed to be mostly identical, except one seems to be twice as large....generating a 1.7 meg file upon submission, while the other one only generates a 600K file or so...thats another issue for another day or maybe you can advise on that also...
OK so far so good......In our shop, once Grandma buys a 10 pack (or whatever), Only then she gets to the link on her receipt page ro the relevant "selection form" ,(this prevents "Filling and Sending" with "no order" and "no payment", another early problem we had)... which they can click on and it will usually download and open up on their device if all goes well...Then our little form is supposed to be fillable and is supposed to ADD UP all the quantities, so grandma knows how many she is buying and so forth right on the fly, and even while she changes her mind..., and IT'S LARGE so grandma can see it, and then it TOTALS it all up for them, ( cause remember, they can NOT add).., except there is a programming bug (mouse-click should be a mouse-up probably or something..) which makes you click in the blank spaces to get to a correct TOTAL...about 70-80% of our customers can enable all these features and usually the process completes without problems for them especially on PC's running Windows OS and Acrobat Reader X or XI...at least for most... Unfortunately it is still not the "seamless process" I would like or had envisioned for the other folks out there that do have trouble using our form.... Many folks report to us the following issues that we know of. First of all it takes too much time to load up...We know its HUGE...is there anyway that you can see, to streamline this thing? I would love for it to be more compact...this really helps on the phones and pads as I'm sure you well know.
Some just tell us,"it WON'T work"....I believe this is because they are totally out of it and dont even have Adobe Reader on their machine, & don't know how to get it ( yes, we provide the links).....or it's some ancient version....no one can stop this one...
It almost always generates some kind ( at least one time) of "error message" which we do warn them about..., telling one, basically that "Acrobat doesnt even like this happening at all, and it could be detrimental to ones computer files", blah-blah...(this freaks grandma out really bad)...& usually they end up not even trying to send it... and then I get calls that even you wouldn't believe...& If they DO nut up and push the Red "Submit Form" button, it will usually send the thing to us (and also back to them at the "required email address" they furnished on the form, thats what the folks at the "fillable forms place" do) so, if it's performing it's functions, why it is having to complain?. What are we doing wrong?....and how can I fix it?...Will re-compiling it or saving it as a newer version of "FormsCentral" correct any of these problems ?
Ok, so that should keep you busy for a minute and we can start out with those problems...but the next thing is, how can I take advantage of YOUR re-direct & hosting services?, And will it get rid of the error messages, and the slowness, and the iOS incompatibilities ? (amazingly, the last iOS Reader version worked almost OK.. but the newest version doesnt seem to work with my form on my iphone4) If it will enable any version of the iOS to send my form correctly and more transparently, then it might be worth the money...$14.95 a MONTH you say. hmmmmm...Better be good.
Another problem is, that I really don't need 5000 forms a month submitted. I think its like 70-100 or less....Got any plans for that? Maybe I'm just not BIG ENOUGH to use Adobe's services, however in this case, I really don't care whose I do use as long as the product works most correctly for my customers as well as us. Like I said, If I'm doing the best I can, I won't change anything, and still use the other third party, If Adobe has a better solution, then i'm all for that as well. Need Help With File Matching Records
I need help with my file matching program.
Here is how it suppose to work: FileMatch class should contain methods to read oldmast.txt and trans.txt. When a match occurs (i.e., records with the same account number appear in both the master file and the transaction file), add the dollar amount in the transaction record to the current balance in the master record, and write the "newmast.txt" record. (Assume that purchases are indicated by positive amounts in the transaction file and payments by negative amounts.)
When there is a master record for a particular account, but no corresponding transaction record, merely write the master record to "newmast.txt". When there is a transaction record, but no corresponding master record, print to a log file the message "Unmatched transaction record for account number ..." (fill in the account number from the transaction record). The log file should be a text file named "log.txt".

I am not sure what is wrong with my code above to make my results different from the correct results.
Much help is appreciated. Please help.From the output, it looks like one problem is just formatting -- apparently you're including a newline in log entries and not using tabs for the newmast output file.
As to why the numbers are off -- just from glancing over it, it appears that the problem is when you add multiple transaction values. Since account.combine() is so simple, I suspect that you're either adding creating transaction objects incorrectly or not creating them when you should be.
Create test input data that isolates a single case of this (e.g., just the Mary Smith case), and then running your program in a debugger or adding debugging code to the add/combine method, so you can see what's happening in detail.
Also I'd recommend reconsidering your design. It's a red flag if a class has a name with "Create" in it. Classes represent bundles of independant state and transformations on that state, not things to do. -

Need help with a Asus 27" monitor with webcam problem.
Need help with a Asus 27" monitor I bought. Model VK278Q. The issue is that the webcam will not work properly. Various applications can see the webcam, but I just get a black box. From what I have read, the issue seems to be that there are no official drivers for the webcam.
I thought someone in this community might be able to offer some help before I return the monitor. I read somewhere that it may be possible to tweat the OS so that the iSight software will work for the monitor webcam.

Eureka! You now understand the situation.
Even the old standard for Mac OS X drivers for non-compatible cams, macam, says that it has no driver for ASUS (20") monitor camera.
The macam status shows:
not working (no documentation)
With no working driver for the 20" ASUS, it is not surprising that there is none for the 27" either. There may be good reason that ASUS won't (or can't) offer either the technical documentation or a Mac driver for their monitor's inbuilt webcam. However, they apparently do not publish that information.
If ASUS Technical Support cannot provide the driver you need for OS X, the ASUS will continue to be a ridonculous (sic) monitor whose webcam will not work with your OS X Mac. The only other simple fix I can think of is to use the ASUS with a different PC that is compatible with this monitor and its inbuilt webcam. What you do is certainly your choice.

You mean an image such as a scanned document?
If that is the case, the file doesn't contain any text for Reader Out Loud to read. In order to fix that, you would need an application such as Adobe Acrobat that does Optical Character Recognition to convert the images to actual text.
You can also try to export the file as a Word document or something else using ExportPDF which I believe offers OCR and is cheaper than Acrobat. -
I need Help with the dynamic link feature in CS3
Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue I am having? I have the adobe cs3 master collection. Having watched tutorials on the dynamic link feature my version seems not to have the same options as those I have viewed. I wish to send my premiere video creation to encore using dynamic link, however when I click "file" and then "adobe dynamic link" the only options available are about "adobe after effects". I can export to encore however I am only alloowed to export one premiere sequence to one new encore file, I cannot create an encore file and import several premiere sequence into the same encore project. That means currently I can only have an encore creation with one premiere sequence in it, and I have no adobe dynamic link. Any help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much for that guys but my premiere media encoder only lets me export as: MPEG1, MPEG1-VCD, MPEG2, MPEG2 blu-ray, MPEG2-DVD, MPEG2-SVCD, H.264, H.264 blu-ray, Adobe Flash Video, Quicktime, Real Media, Windows Media. Are any of these formats DV AVI?
Am I to export my videos direct to encore or save them elsewhere (e.g desktop). It seems that I cannot export sequences from different premiere projects to the same encore project.
Sorry if any of these questions seem obvious, I am just new to premiere and keen to do things right from the off.

Merge multiple PDF's together using conditional logic

The way the code is currently set up, DAQ Assistant 4 will run right after the Boolean array is written using the output DAQ Assistant. Does the relay not stay open? If you need actual simultaneous input and output, that will be dependent on the DAQ card you're using. You might look into using actual DAQmx commands rather than using DAQ Assistants, since you'll be able to create multiple tasks to handle the input and output. You might find this link helpful.

My PowerMac, running on OS X (10.4.11) keeps going to sleep and the top fan makes an incredibly loud noise. How can I get it to stop shutting off and quiet the fan down?
