I need help with my Creative Zen Vision M 3

Hi!? So I was listening to my creative zen vision M 30g mp3 player when it froze in the middle of a song. I tried to reset it using the reset hole on the bottom. When I reset it, it rebooted to the recovery mode and it has been stuck there ever since. I tried using all the options on the screen, clean up, format all, reload firmware and the reboot. The only one that really works is the reboot. The other ones will go through the motions then stop and give me the message " hard disk problem"? anyway, I can fix this at home or do I have to send it away? I have had it for about /2 now so its factory warrenty has expired so I guess I am concerned about the cost of repair. At the same time however, It was almost $300 when I bought it so I dont want to just settle for the fact that it is now not working.
Any help or advice or similar stories would be helpful. Or cost?Amas2

I have this problem for 2 mounth. I have never change anythinhg on my player. And i don't get back errors from the software.
There are mp3 on my player and photos, programs...
I don't know why i can't get back these datas.
When i cancel a date by the logiciel, it say me ok, but when i return to see if it's canceled, it's not do!!!
A message error arri've : "it's cannot be read in the juxbox" (it's a translation).
And i can't listen my music on my computer with the creative's logiciel but i can listen music directly on it!!! very strange problem.

  • Please, I need help with this 60GB ZEN Vision: M Problem... ASAP!

    I had to format my computer earlier this morning, and I have to do it again soon, but not before moving all my music files to another computer thanks to my flash dri've. Here's the thing now: My ZEN Vision: M decided to have a firmware problem when I really can't do anything. I have to Reload the Firmware (I believe), so I can update it with the new one. The thing is, I'm not sure if there's a problem here, as I tried connecting it with the USB thing, and said it found no hardware. Alright so... I try doing the Realod Firmware thing, but the firmware doesn't detect the player, and I've already hit Reload Firmware. Now I don't know what's going on with my ZEN and I can't check things out nor can I go install the CDs for the programs/drivers and whatnot,because I'm in a bit of a hurry. I can do it all tomorrow once I get home but I just wanted to know what I have to do, since it's pretty much been quite a while since I last did a firmware update and I don't remember what to do, anyway.
    Anybody willing to help? I'd appreciate it if this wasn't ignored like all my other topics in the last year, where I got little to no help at all. But I have been grateful of those who have helped me before. It's just been so long, really...

    When you connect the player use REAR usb port if desktop. If laptop direct connect to usb port NO HUBS. & At least 50% battery charge on the player. Boot the player in Recovery /Rescue mode then do a Format>cleanup Then connect to computer to see if Windows loads the driver or "sees" the player. If it does then disconnect it &? Open the firmware file & on the player choose reload firmware The screen on the player will prompt you to connect via usb? connect it. Now the Autoplay window may open DO NOT CLOSE IT (ignore it) The firmware file should see the player choose the upgrade & let it run. Good Luck

    What is wrong with the player, exactly? Does it start up? If it can start up and it is recognised on the PC, then you can copy the files back to the PC for back-up.

    I recently brought a Zen Neeon 52MB, but i accidently drop it and i lost my?receipt. What can i do about this? Is there somewhere that i can repair it, and of course, repair which would need paying. Not expecting free repair.

    if it crashes theres a small hole on the same side as the volume put a pin in you should feel a click if done correctly. it should then start up. as for your nomad explorer problem you should still be able to access your player from "my computer" there should be your dri'ves, nomad explorer and creative zen touch try getting to it through "creative zen touch. if none of that works maybe try removing all the software and install it all again. maybe update there firmware. oh if you have firmware version 2 nomad wont work. i miss it too. dont lose faith i've had mine for over a year now and had (and still am having) just about every problem. hope that helps Sm: )er

    I need help putting videos on my Creative Zen V Plus. I convert them to avi using Super Converter and I drag and drop them into the folder for the videos on my zen. When I turn on my Zen and go to the videos the video is there however when I try to play it it says video format not supported.

    HI just wanted to ask if anybody know of a reliable site that repairs Creative Zen M devicies? Because i have one that aside from a broken battery plug still works. And i would very much like to have repaired....as i have some songs and stuff save in it. ?And would want keep the unit as it stil work when i use the sync cable to power it up.

    Yeah i read it had something to do with someone try to contact him regarding some repair units. But anyway i'm gonna check out this other guy and so far it all looks good. Hopefully he can help me out.....will update you on how things go. Coz if anything the next alternati've would be try buy a new one from ebay or something and have to loose the stuff i have on my unit....

  • Help with my Creative Zen Touch (20

    Hi everybody, I bought my Creative ZEN (20Gb) Touch in October.
    For the first month it worked very well, and I was glad I bought it instead of an iPod (I've never liked them).
    Anyway three weeks ago the display froze on a playlist while I was listening to it (none of the buttons worked), so I let the battery run down and after a couple of days it recovered and restart working.
    This happened to me again last week, so I let the battery run down and, after charging it, it worked.
    On friday I connected it to the usb cable, so I could use NOMAD Explorer. When I connected it (the first time) it was turned off but it turned on. I turned it off, anyway. After connecting it, the Nomad Explorer didn't work as if I haven't connected the Zen Touch to the cable. So I tried a couple of times to connect and disconnect the cable from the Zen Touch, and after that the on/off button was illuminated like it was on charge or connected to the cable - but it wasn't flashing, it was just a permanent light.
    So I decided to use the same method I used the first two times I had some problems - but the battery didn't run down! Or maybe it did, but the light is still there, and my mp3 doesn't work. Now it's been four days, and this is the third time I had a problem with my mp3 player - I've been owning it just for three months! What should I do for make it start working?
    How can I reset it's And if I do, am I going to lose any of my files?

    Wow, that's a very old soundcard. It should be an OEM Sound Blaster 6 Value soundcard according to the model number.
    You can try downloading and user guide for that soundcard and see if the information you need is there.

  • I really need help with my creative MuVo N200 mp3 pla

    i got my MuVo N200 mp3 player for chirtmas of last year, and it stopped working in 3 months. it used to shut off every few minutes and the mic doesnt work any more and i cant record music from the radio. right now it doesnt even work for a minute, it shuts off as soon as i try and turn it on. i emailed creative when it first started happening and they sent me a email saying what to do on there website, something about downloading something. i tryed it and it didnt work, im not sure if i didnt do it right. And right now i have no idea what to do. and creative won't help me unless i pay them money to fix it for me which im not about to do. has anyone have the same problem with the MuVo N200 mp3 player? what am i suppose to do to fix it's I still have there email telling me what to do, but i just dont get how to do it and if it will work. It only worked for me 3 months, and now im mad and thinking about buying a new one thats not from creative but i really want to try fixing it again to see if it will work. please help me.

    Good question, unfortunately I have absolutely no idea. Reflashing/-formatting generally takes care of the usual cases of wonkyness this player develops, and there isn't anything more drastic you as a user could do.
    Do you have a directory named "Recorded Tracks" on your player? Should be created automatically, but if it isn't you could try creating it manually...

  • HELP with my Creative Zen

    I have had it for a year and it has been brilliant but all of a sudden when listening to music it froze. I waited and then pressed reset. Now it wont load properly it either gets stuck on the ZEN screen or at the end of Rebuilding library. It is out of its warrenty and i am really dissapointted as this is a really good MP3 player AND IT WONT WORK. Please Help? My computer wont recongise it. PLEASE HELP

    do you have the a/c adapter for it's if so, remove the battery and see if you can get it to power up. if so, it's your battery. the usb from your computer just charges the battery so that isn't definiti've in calling the player dead. if no power on a/c, then something has fried, i guess. if you don't have the a/c adapter, i can't think of any way to determine if it's just the battery except maybe to find a friend who has one and swap out. a battery is pretty cheap, so i hope that's just the situation.Message Edited by linberl on 08-0-2006 0:7 PM

    I have had this MP3 player for a long time, and I had to replace the harddri've in my computer. When I installed the drivers that is on the creative website. Creative Mediasource will not recognize the player. I tried using WMP but it gave me an error message of something like this device uses a driver that is not supported by windows media player roll back to the previous version. I did do that but windows media player 0 will only put files on the MP3 player not take them from MP3 player to computer. I'm just wondering if there is a archi'ved driver somewhere or am I stuck without a way to get songs off of my MP3 player. Thanks

    There was one other method that worked for me some months back, and that was to first revert back to Windows Media Player 0 by removing WMP and Windows Media Player Runtime and to also use add/remove programs and remove all Creative software, then try adding your firmware onto your MP3 Player. After the firmware was installed, I could go back and add all my software. At a later date, by accident, I updated my WMP0 to WMP and everything still worked fine. I can't stand to use WMP 0 for my MP3 Players.
    That was information that I got off fixya.com ( a repair site for MP3 Players of all brands)

  • Creative Zen Vision:M - awful or no sound at

    Hello,
    I have a problem with my Creative Zen Vision:M. The player has been running extremely slow for about 2 months and it was bought in January 2006. The player crashes when I play an mp3 file. The FM radio works just fine. I hear a lot of noise or the sound is choppy. I have tried formatting the player and update the firmware, but the problem still persists.
    Could somebody please help me out with my issue? And also, if somebody has a link to an older firmware release, please provide one just to check if it is from the firmware.

    Sounds like a hard-dri've problem - I'd try formatting the hard-dri've, if that doesn't help then I think you may need to return it to Creative to get it repaired. Sorry i can't be more positi've!
