I need help with network install of SQL Developer 3.2

All,
Does anyone have any references on how to perform a network install for SQL Developer? Here is what I'm trying to achieve:
1. Network installation on drive S:\ (Windows, obviously)
2. User links to network installation
3. Connections are unique for each user
I found the 2006 posting of network install for Raptor, but I could not find anything that correlates with the latest release. All I have done so far is downloaded and unzipped. Any help/instructions/guides/tutorials are welcome.

You have installed!. The code for SQLDeveloper does not have an installer.
If the software is on S, say a shared drive, each user will start sqldeveloper and a directory called sqldeveloper will be created in their local %APPLICATION_DATA% folder. This will keep all connections etc unique for all users.
You will have to create a link from the S drive to the sqldeveloper.exe if you want a shortcut to start it. We dont provide it.

Your iTunes account is something at the iTunes Store online. It is not possible to uninstall it. Do you mean the iTunes application? Even if you delete the application and restore it, it should not have deleted your iTunes library (essentially the contents of the iTunes folder in Music) on your computer unless you did a separate steep and specifically deleted that too. You need to tell us what it was you deleted.

Need help with networking external hard drive

Hi,
I am working on a corporate network and I have a Western Digital My Book Studio Edition external hard drive attached to a Mac OSX 10.4. i have other Macs connecting through the network to this Mac and accessing the external hard drive and it works just fine for that.
What I need help with is the fact that I also have several PCs on the same network (all XP), that need to connect to the hard drive and access the files. I've been able to connect to the Mac using the XP by accessing the IP address. I also set the Mac up with password credentials so that I had to log in to the Mac to access the files. But when I try to access the Mac, it only shows the main computer drive as the only available share and no external drive.
Does anyone know how to access a Western Digital external drive on a Mac from a PC through a network?

For an external hard disk drive or other (different) system shared
storage devices to work, they probably should be formatted in a
format seen by both operating systems.
If the WD unit is not seen by Windows computers on your network,
the WD may have been formatted in HFS+ for the Macintosh. That
is OK unless you need a Windows computer to access the same.
The Macintosh can see and use a standard Windows disc format;
so the external drive may need to be reformatted away from HFS+
if that is really what is going on (and archive any data on the suspect
drive elsewhere, since it will be lost to reformatting overwrites)
and then both Mac OS X and Windows should see the files on there.
And Macs set up to run Windows may also see the non-Mac format;
without having to re-boot via BootCamp, if that option is in use.
As to the other question(s) I really have no idea at this point in time.
And since that may be the rub, hopefully someone will follow up here.

Need help with apps install

there is no install or download when i tap on the app i want. theres something at the top that says the price but its not highlighted and wont let me open it. i already tried logging in and going back to the app i want and it still hasnt changed. i need help cause im not really good at this stuff and i dont know what else to really do

Try checking the Parental Controls-if they are enabled, the price will be shown at the top but it will be grey instead of blue, and won't be able to be selected. (Settings>General>Restrictions)

Need help with network user accounts on Mac server App on Yosemite, any tips?

I've been trying to set up a small network with the Server app on Yosemite. I don't want to do anything crazy with the server, I'd just like to know how I can set up network user accounts so that they can login from other Mac computers on the same network. I already have Open directory set up, the Macs that will be used on the network with the server have already been joined to the server under login options. I have created the network user account, I have also joined the user account to a group that I created. When I try to login to the network account from one of the Macs, it doesn't work. I'm pretty rookie with Mac server, can anyway give me any pointers of what I should be doing? Or if I am doing something wrong. Thanks guys.

The most important step, once you've got Open Directory and DNS set up, with Local Network Users set up in Server.app, is to make sure that all client Macs are using the server's IP address as the primary DNS server in System Preferences > Network, and that they have joined the Network server in System Preferences > Users and Groups > Login Options.
Having said all that, I have just spent hours setting this all up only to find out that Mail doesn't currently work with Network Homes in 10.10.3 / Server.app 4.1.
I will be hoping that Apple recognise the bug, and put out a fix soon.

Need help with network

hi, i am trying to leave ubuntu, so i installed Arch Linux. it seems everything went allright on the CD installation, but i am having trouble with the network. i have a dell XPS M1330 with the intel 4965 card, and i believe that the card is recognized by the system.
i can scan for networks, and i can even connect to my network, and when i run "iwconfig" i can see all my network details, including the password, and th signal strenth, noise, etc.
so, everything indicates that i am succesfully connected to my network. but everytime i try a ping it fails misserably, with a host unknown. i've tried google, yahoo, msn... but it doesnt matter. they always fail.
can anybody help me?
btw, i've checked that hostname is the same on rc.conf and hosts

first of all, i have to say that even though the module is listed on rc.conf, everytime i start the computer i need to do a modprove iwl4965 for the network card to start working, then i have to do "ifconfig wlan0 up" and then is allright.

The broadcast flag is likely unneeded as a 255.255.255.0 netmask implies a 192.168.0.255 broadcast address. However, it's definitely worth a shot! [SOLVED] need help with virtualbox install

I'm a relative n00b to Arch, haging migrated from Ubuntu (pha!!). Arch rocks!
However, my beloved virtualbox isnt playing ball!
After many hours of getting arch up and running I now need some assitance please with VirtualBox PEUL. I've googled and search these wikis and found:

but, I dont know how to install.
I used yaourt (having spent another many hours trying to get to speed with what Arch AUR is and yaourt!!)
This is what I did:
1. Visited http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VirtualBox and followed PEUL instructions...
2. Click on AUR link and then click on PKGBUILD and it downloaded a PKGBUILD from here http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?d … s=0&SeB=nd
3. Then went back to the wiki http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VirtualBox and clicked on VirtualBox_1.5.6-1_Linux_x86.run and downloaded the file.
4. In accordance with the instructions on the wiki, I ran makepkg
HOWEVER, I get errors!!:

Can anyone help please? In Ubuntu all this was just installed with dpkg -i VirtualBox.deb
I'm sure Arch is just as "simple" :-)

Good idea, I checked this out originally but it didnt work so I went for "manual" install.
The download from yaourt never starts, just hangs - the server is dead or something?? ...

Need help with PSE11 install

Downloaded PSE11 with Akamai and it will not install.

Akamai download manager shows 2 file links. Both read the same except 1st one shows 11 LS15.7Z and the 2nd shows LS15.exe 1st one appears to download correctly but 2nd one
Says file archive part of Adobe pSE11 is missing and you need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe PSE11. Please download all parts.

Need help with PSE12 install

The files apparently downloaded properly, but during install I get the following error message:
The following applications are using files that need to be updated by this setup. Close these applications and click Retry to continue: ElementsAutoAnalyzer.exe.
I'm installing to a Windows XP SP 3 machine with at least 1 gig of ram, and a 1 Tb hard drive that's less than half full, so I don't think it's a hardware issue. I cannot find the named file running anywhere on the machine - anyone run into this?

Hi,
Please open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc. Open "Processes" tab. Make sure you click "Show processes from all users" . Please see ifElementsAutoAnalyzer.exe is shown in the TaskManager. Please close it and then try to install again.

Need help with XP instal. stuck at: Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver

I've bought a new 2.0 ghz laptop with vista blah blah but i want to change to XP.
I've
bought a new copy of XP and am ready to go then first issue was during
installation the screen says can't find harddrive installed.

then found some thread somewhere which i've lost that said to buy an
external floppy drive and downloaded that floppy driver thingy that i
need to get past that stage from the toshiba website..
FYI driver name: SA200 ACHI F6-1017-XP

worked fine.. when it said press F8 if you agree to install XP i nearly
wet myself.. anyhow after it formatted the drive it then asked me this:
Insert the disk labeled:

into drive A:
* Press ENTER when ready
WTF are you talking about laptop? can someone please help me past this stage?

Here are detailed instructions I found earlier:
Installing a Retail (street copy) version of Windows XP on a Vista Toshiba Laptop.
- If the Toshiba laptop has a seperate BIOS for XP and Vista, download and flash the XP BIOS over the Vista BIOS.
- If XP Setup does not detect the SATA Hard Disk, simply turn on "SATA Compatibility Mode" in the BIOS if applicable. If this option is not available, follow these steps:
1) Download the Windows XP SATA F6 driver from the Toshiba Support/Downloads Website.
If an individual F6 driver is not available, download and unzip the Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver. The Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver package should contain some folders under the "F6flpy" folder. For example: ICH7M_32bit for an ICH7 based chipset when installing Windows XP 32bit.
2) Copy the F6 driver files (iastor.inf, etc..) to a blank floppy disk. The actual files must reside in the root directory of the Floppy Disk. For example, A:\iastor.inf, A:\iaahci.inf, etc..
3) Use a Toshiba USB Floppy Drive with the Toshiba notebook. (some non-Toshiba USB Floppy Drives may not function properly during XP setup)
4) Boot from Windows XP CD-ROM, start the installation and ensure the floppy disk is inserted in the USB Floppy Drive.
5) When XP Setup prompts you to press F6 to install a Storage Driver, immediately press F6.
6) When XP Setup prompts you to select a SATA driver, select the appropriate driver and continue. For example: ICH7M Intel(R) 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller, ICH8M Intel(R) 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller
7) Keep the Floppy Drive attached and Floppy Disk inserted until XP has completed its installation. Do not Partition or Format the Hard Disk during XP Setup. The SATA drivers from the Floppy Disk are copied and stored on the Hard Disk during XP installation.

I believe this will work for port 443:

Hi Vibor. Apologies if my comment was misunderstood. What I meant to say was that the security level of the dmz interface should probably be less than 100.
And therefore traffic could be controlled between DMZ and inside networks.
As per thr security level on the DMZ interface. ....... that command is correct. :-)

Need help with windows install

I am trying to install windows 7 64 bit on my macbook pro 2006 running a leopard OS and it keeps saying select cd rom boot type. what do I do?

You don't need a Windows machine to burn the iso to a DVD, if you use "Disk Utility" just burn it at the slowest speed possible and it should work. (unless your doing the work around to get it to work)
Just make sure you use a program that will make it a bootable image tho, you can't just drag the files over to it and let it burn, it has to end up being bootable in order to boot into the installer.
Apple (Boot Camp) will only support NTFS so as part of installing Windows 7 just chose NTFS as the format while booted from the Windows installer.
Basically, start Boot Camp Assistant, download the drivers, make the partition size you want, (doesn't matter what you format it as now, Windows will do it again with the one you need) it will then boot into the Windows installer and you will eventually get to the part where you can format it to NTFS, it will do it's thing and reboot into the new Windows 7 desktop and you will then install the drivers.
