I need iPod touch help! ASAP!

My iPod touch keeps freezing over and over even after I hold down both buttons!!!!! I hold down both buttons then it works for awhile....then it goes right back to the white screen!! I've already restored it 4 times!!! I've only have had it for a couple years and no major damage has ever been done. Any other help!!!

After that don't use the latest backup to restore from, it might contain corrupt files causing your problem.

Help Needed: iPod Touch 1st Gen not upgrading to iOS 3.1

I have a iPod Touch 1st Generation running iOS 2.2.1. I have iTunes 10.1.1 as well. When I connect my iPod to my computer, and click Check for Updates, it says 2.2.1 is the current version. I thought I could run 3.1 on my first generation. Why is it doing this? Please help as I'm going to b traveling a lot in the car tomorrow and would like to be able to play some games but they need 3.1.

App Store not working on 1st gen iPod touch HELP NEEDED!!!

I have a 1st Generation iPod touch and I have been using App Store very often to download apps. I do not have my iPod syched to my computer, so I cannot download apps with it. I just use my iPod's app store. Up until the other day, it has been working. I tried to download an app, but it showed no screen shots, and by tapping the price to download it, it did not do anything. It did this on every app I tried. Every time I try to download an app, it doesn't work. Is it because my iPod is so old? What is the problem?

Try resetting the iPod..
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Needing Serious iPod Touch Help!!!

Hi. I have an iPod touch and when i connect it to itunes it says it cant reconize the iphone, but its not an iphone, so the ipod icon doesnt show up on the side, therefore i cannot sync my ipod after the purchases i have bought. Any solutions?

Nothing is seeming to work. Today i plugged it in, and the iPod icon showed up, and then dissappeared, and said i had to restore my ipod, so i did, but it said it could not restore my iPod.
PS- We found out we had an "intruder" on our computer (or a hacker..?), but we removet it/them. (if thats any help)

My ipod touch screen is broken by the slightest in the corner, the metal is exposed to the outside. The screen had worked at usual for a good few months, but now the screen isn't working at all, when i touch it with cold fingers it's unresponsive, even with normal fingers. Does anyone have a diagnoses or a way i can fix this?
If i give apple back this ipod touch, will they give me a new one for a cheaper price? please reply asap!!

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $99 for 16 GB 5G and $149 for the other 5Gs. They do not fix yours.

IPod touch help needed

My son's ipod touch appears to be frozen. The screen just shows a continual circular pattern in the center and when I try to connect it to my computer it gives me the message "iTunes could not connect to the iPod because an invalid response was received from the device". Please help!

try resetting it. Hold down the home and sleep key, past when you see the red slider and until you see the silver apple. See if that'll reboot it.
You shouldn't lose any data or info. The reset is just a forced reboot and often clears up glitches.
If it won't reboot then you may have a bigger issue.

Help needed Ipod touch

Recently bought 2 ipod touch from local pawn shop did factory reset on them both and now niether will start. They are both freezing on start up how can i fix this? Two little ones looking forward to playing with there new Ipods only to be disapointed, Please any help would be fantastic!!!!

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. The appointment is free even for iPods like yours.

The iPod Touch you have may not accept the latest iOS8.x system, so if you
have older marginal Apps, they would not work and may not have equal or
similar replacements under the latest iOS version. iOS7 may not be available
and if you should upgrade to iOS8, you probably won't be able to revert back.
After looking around Support online, I do not see a method of restoring Safari
but your device may have one built-in to it; perhaps part of a reset process.
I am not certain... There are some items you may have to attach the Touch to
a computer and use it to see about updates or replacement software.

To ask a knowledgeable product specialist, and have the iPod Touch model
and serial number handy, may be the best way to go. Expect that with any
upgrade to a newer iOS system software, old apps won't work and new ones
that could be available, may not look, feel or act in the same way as old ones.

I just got an ipod touch for my son. I need to know how to hide/delete some artwork from his ipod? In itunes, i right click on the song and click get info, then i got to the artwork tab and hit delete. But when i sync it to the ipod, i check the ipod and the artwork is still there even though it is NOT on itunes. Please help. Thanks.

Refurbished iPod Touch Help Please?

I'm considering purchasing two of the iPod Touch for my wife and I for Christmas. Considering that the cheapest one is $229, I thought about the refurbished ones that are selling a lot cheaper and I'm interested in maybe getting those.

My question to anyone who knows about this is the following:
1) Are these iPods different from the ones out now? Like, do these iPod Touch's still have the built-in speaker and other standard features? Or is this a previous generation iPod Touch? I'm not even aware if there's been other generation iPod Touch's since iPod Touch is still pretty new.
2) Has anyone had experience with buying refurbished items from Apple before? Were you satisfied?
I'm really more interested in figuring out if these refurbs are the same iPod Touch generation out now. I know they've been bought before and fixed up for whatever reason, but for my budget, this would really satisfy my needs. If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I purchased a refurb original iPod touch from Apple. No problems, but it was slightly scratched on the back when it arrived.
The refurb ones appear to be the original ones (look at the size of the unit). They lack the external speaker and volume buttons, and I think they have a slightly different body design. But they can make some noise (i.e., alarms). The screen seems to be the same, and wifi speed is the same.

HT203180 VIDEO NOT SHOWING ON IPOD TOUCH HELP ME!!!!!!

Yesterday I decided to download some DVDs onto my ipod touch, newest generation if that helps. So i bought a DVD - itunes converter from mac app store and it converted the DVDs for me. I could see them on my itunes but when I tried to put them on my ipod a little message came up saying 'this video is not suitable for your ipod' or something like that. It turned out It had been programmed to play on an ipad. So I re-downloaded the movie, clicking the box that said 'ipod touch' and it worked, fine, I could see it in my itunes. HOWEVER when I dragged the movie onto my device no message came up this time but it isn't showing on my ipod!!! I can'y sync it because its my whole familys and has about a billion of my dads songs and about 100 'learn the alphabet' apps for my little brother. It would take me so long to delete everything.
I really hope you can help, because I am going on a 12 hour journey tommorow and I need to entertain myself in the car.

Does the movie show up on a music video playlist, under Music? You can highlight the video in iTunes and choose Get Info, from the File menu, to change or view the video Kind.
Was the movie purchased from the iTunes Store?

Ipod touch help me

I have an ipod video already and I am considering about getting the newer ipod touch. But I have a dock for the ipod video and I don't have the money to get a new dock and the touch... would the touch work on a dock that support all the other ipods? I haven't seen an ipod touch yet so I need to know if it would work with what I've got. Help me Plaese.

If it's a Universal Dock you can remove the 5th Gen iPod dock adaptor (No 9. or 10) and use the supplied dock adaptor with the iPod touch:

Remember that the iPod touch plays video in landscape so the dock isn't so useful if that respect. A small stand is included with iPod touch.

Ipod Touch HELP! Never heard anything like it!

I dont know how to describe what is happening with my ipod touch but it was working fine and then all of a sudden 1 would have to tap the app or thing i wanted multiple times. It wont let me scroll and where every my finger goes, a box like thing follows it! I NEED HELP!!!!

Disabled iPod touch - HELP! LOL

My dd recently got a used iPod touch as a gift. She changed her password so many times that she forgot it, and after entering in the wrong one multiple times, her iPod says it's "DISABLED." I've tried connecting it to iTunes, but my other dd has already connected her iPod to both of our laptops. Do I need to uninstall then reinstall iTunes on one of the laptops in order to connect the newest iPod so I can enable it? I'm lost....any help will be greatly appreciated. The closest Apple store to me is over 3 hours away.

Let the download continue and complete and then try again with placing the iPod in recovery mode. After the download is complete you can try placing the iPod in DFU mode if recovery mode does not work.

OS 10.3.9 / iTunes 7/ 2nd gen iPod touch - help!

I've just ordered 2nd gen ipod touch, not arrived yet, but i read online that it must run on itunes 8. I've just tried to urgrade my itunes 7 to 8 but got message saying that OS 10.3.9 does't support version 8? Help! Does this mean I need to buy OS 10.4 or 10.5?

had same problem when I tried to install my sisters iphone on my PB few months ago but it worked on my Win XP with whatever itunes version it is I cant remember - hopefully it will work ipod touch
