You can make your own RAID setup floppy disk, by looking up your mobo on the MSI site. You can download the files from the website to make the setup disk.

It won't install adobe photoshop 6 because operating system is too old but don't want to spend money on new operating system with hard drive that keeps failing.

Got this error code about a year ago. downloaded a manual fan program that has helped but every third day or so it crashes and when i try reboot i get the dreaded question mark. usually if i let it rest for an hour or two it fires up but i don't want to risk anymore.

cheersI suspect a failed HD, in that case I'd recommend Apple Hardware Test in Extended Mode at least 3x. You will need the original install discs that shipped with the computer, if you do not have them any longer you will need to order a replacement set from Apple by calling AppleCare. You will need a credit card and the serial number of the machine. The cost should be nominal.

Odd, it seems. In the Finder "Get Info" display, you are seeing something like this?
Click the "Details" triangle and then the little padlock, and you should be able to change the permissions. Click the lock when you are done and close the Info window. -
I had been using my elements 10 for much of the day so do not know what I have done to upset it! I was starting up again and it began to load then offered me this line of script re a 'runtime error'. That means nothing to me except that it no longer works. I have had a peek on Google and see various suggested fixes from sources I don't know whether to trust. Also some fixes give a list of do's that to a non techie like me are not followable. Can anyone offer me some understandable guidance so I can get back to playing with my photos?

I startet by having iphoto 6, and the library update did not finish up.
Tried to uninstall iphoto 6 and then install '11 again.
I have back up my library on external.
I have tried to download the tool for preparing an old iphoto library, to see if that helped but no. It is also for version 5 and earlier.
When I try to open 11, it says it needs to upgrade library - I click upgrade - it checks the old library files, creates the new, and I can now see my old album names and so on, but then it hangs (I tried to let it hang for 20 hours now, because it does not say that the program don't answer, it is as if it is still working.
I believe I have around 6-7.000 pictures, but cleaned it recently, emptied the trash (and has also emptied the general trash and downloaded the latest version of Lion, 10.7.4 - even if I had it anyways)
I just bought '11 because I had trouble printing a book I just finished for my weeding in 2 weeks, so I am really keen on getting my library back in full style asap, even if I have to get an older version of iphoto..Try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If you can create and run a new library then your current library is the culprit.
In that case make a temporary, backup copy (select the library and type Command+D) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #1, followed by #3 and then #4.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I am having problems adding files to my external hard drive. Can anyone help me?
I can't add files to my external hard drive from my computer. I keep getting a message saying that the hard drive can't be modified. I've added files to it before, I'm not sure why it's not working now. I looked at the hard drive information and it says that it is set to read only. Does anyone know how to change that or what I should do? Thanks.

I have a Sonos system with an ipod dock and was experiencing problems when using my ipod. The people at Sonos suggested resetting my ipod, so I did. Now, unfortunatey, my ipod isn't working properly. When I connected it to my itunes it said that it was in recovery mode and should be restored. I restored it and a message said it would appear in my itunes. But it just keeps saying that it needs to be restored. I've tried removing my itunes software and reloading it again but nothing changed.
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -

I need to get a copy of AdobePDF.dll from Windows Vista disk. I do not have any Vista Disks.and upgraded my PC to Windows 7 Home Premium. Any suggestions where I can get it? I was reinstalling Adobe CS3 Design Premium when the installation stopped and asked me to insert the Windows Vista Disk to get the AdobePDF.dll file.
The AdobePDF.dll file is part of the Adobe Acrobat product and not part of Windows, Vista or otherwise!
You need to purchase a license to Adobe Acrobat (or any Adobe product containing Acrobat) to obtain that file and the functionality associated with same.
By the way, exactly what do you need only that one file for?

So as the title says, I need help with this. I've been trying to find a solution for hours.
Just place it in recovery mode again and continue. After some time the iPod will go out of recovery mode. It can also take a longtime to download the firmware needed for the restore.

Depending on which version of Firefox you're using, it no longer currently supports the plug-in provided with Adobe Reader. You have to use PDF Plugin 2.4.4. Just disable the Adobe plugin and use the Schubert plugin.

My hard drive crashed and is no longer usable. I just installed a new drive however, I am not finding any way to export my recorded CD's from the Ipod touch to the new hard drive. Can anyone help please? I thought by enabling syc with Ipod woudl do it but to no avail.
ThanksI used a 3rd party program called copytrans http://www.copytrans.net/ that is not free to move my library from my ipod to my itunes library when I had to start from scratch. After that happened I started backing up my music that purchased from the itunes store to a dvd so I would always have it if things went south. Now I always backup my purchased digital music to an optical disc just in case plus everythng else I have is on retail cd's so I can just rebuild my library from scratch again if I have to. You should also regularly back up your itunes media folder to another disc so your entire library will be backed up just in case you should lose your program drive.

I m trying to update iTunes 10.5.2 my mac book air but it keeps telling me that it is installed but when i plug my new iPad and iPhone it keeps saying it has only 10.3 iTunes and it needs at least 10.5 version can anyone help?
no that does seem to work it is as if it is not recognising it. it says installed on screen but when plug new ipad and iphone4s in it says new version required but i have ran a system update and it says everything is updated

Can anyone help me with a passcode issue on my iphone4?
I have an old ipone 4 that i forgot the passcode for. I actually want to clear it out and give it to my son to use as an ipod. I kept trying to enter remember and now it is telling me to try again in 60 minutes. When I try to hook the phone up to my computer/ itunes it is telling me i need to unlock the phone.. can anyone help?
Unless you can remember your passcode, there is no other way to get into the device. Your only other option will be to restore you iPod.
