I need Multiple installations

I am an individual, not a business, and the only user of Creative Cloud in my family.  I am a longtime Photoshop user, and am now preparing to upgrade to Creative Cloud with Lightroom and Photoshop on the subscription model.
But I have three locations where I use the applications, and my reading of the license says only two installations.  But not clear on whether this means simultaneous users or discrete machines.  Obviously I would be fine with the simultaneous users since there is only one.  But two discrete machines doesn't work since I have two homes and an office where I occasionally use the software, and several different Macs at each home.
Can anyone provide some help?
Thanks....

Billmccl I would recommend searching in the Creative Cloud Download & Install and Adobe Creative Cloud forum as this topic has been discussed previously.  You can activate the software on up to two computers.  You can find more details at Activation & deactivation help - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html.

  • 7.10 installation server, load balancing and multiple installation servers

    Hi
In the 7.10 GUI installation server, there is no Load balancing option anamore, also there seems to be no option to easily clone the installation server from within the nwsapsetupadmin.exe program.
If having MANY users at one location, and needing more than one installation server to accomodate the frontend installations, do you need to do this "manually" now ? grouping users and and the logon script directing different user groups to different sapgui installation servers ?
what about creating multiple installation servers easily, is it possible to simply copy the installation server directory (c:\sapinst f.ex.) to another file server, share the directory and configure the DS and IS services (if needed) ??
will configured packages and "on end install" scripts and such be copied too to the new installation server ?
I need to easily create installation servers in 15 countries, this is the reason for my question...

    Hi Kim Sonny,
    hope you're doing fine
    Regarding your question:
The "Load Balancing" was more a fail-over service and wasn't intended to use for several locations like in your case.
So the easiest way to do this is to setup one installation server and copy the files to the other servers. On the new Installation servers you only have to setup the service again and that's it.
    Cheers,
    Martin

  • Best Practices: BIP Infrastructure and Multiple Installations/Environments

    Hi all,
We are in process of implementing BI Publisher as the main reporting tool to replace Oracle Reports for a number of Oracle Form Applications within our organization. Almost all of our Forms environments are (or will be) SSO enabled.
We have done a server install of BIP (AS 10gR3) and enabled BIP with SSO (test) and everything seems in order for this one dev/test environment. I was hoping to find out how others out there are dealing with some of the following issues regarding multiple environments/installs (and licensing):
Is it better to have one production BIP server or as many BIP severs as there are middle tier form servers? (Keeping in mind all these need to be SSO enabled). Multiple installs would mean higher maintenance/resource costs but is there any significant gain by having more autonomy where each application has its own BIP install?
Can we get away with stand alone installations for dev/test environments? If so, how do we implement/migrate reports to production if BIP server is only accessible to DBAs in production (and even real UAT environment where developer needs to script work for migration)? In general, what is the best way to handle security when it comes to administration/development?
I have looked at the Oracle iStore for some figures but this last question is perhaps one for Oracle Sales people but just in case anybody knows... How's licensing affected by multiple installations? Do we pay per installation or user? Do production and test/dev cost the same? Is the cost of stand alone environment different?
I would appreciate if you can share your thoughts/experiences in regards to any of the above topics. Thank you in advance for your time.
    Regards,
    Yahya

Your data is bigger than I run, but what I have done in the past is to restrict their accounts to a separate datafile and limit its size to the max that I want for them to use: create objects restricted to accommodate the location.

  • Can multiple installs of BIPE share same repository?

    Hello folks,
I work with EnterpriseOne (E1) and in its latest foundation Oracle released what is called Data Access Driver that allows JDBC connection between BI Publisher Enterprise and EnterpriseOne databases. One characteristic of this JDBC driver is that its initialization files are copied to the BIPE directory structure. The driver allows BIPE to connect to only one EnterpriseOne data source. As far as I know to allow BIPE to connect to a different E1 data source, one would need a separate BIPE install altogether.
Question: Is it possible to have multiple installs of BIPE and have them share the SAME report repository and users?
    Thanks
    -James Owens

    Hi Tim,
When E1 Data Access Driver (DAD) is installed in BIPE, .jar and .ini files are copied to "x:\OraHome_BIT\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver\xmlpserver\WEB-INF\lib" folder. In tests, I found that in order for BIPE to connect to E1 data sources using DAD, there must be a match between E1 environment settings in one of these ini files (jdbj.ini) and the JDBC connection defined in BIPE. When there is a mismatch the following error will appear in BIPE console window:
    "WARNING url mismatchjdbc:oracle:enterpriseone://JDV812"
and DAD debug log will show:
"Requesting a spec in path code and using serialized objects build for path code ...
Unable to get initialize UserSession java.lang.NullPointerException"
In none of my tests I was able to connect to an E1 datasource different than the one set in the jdbj.ini file stored in .../WEB-INF/lib. So even if I create a new JDBC connection in BIPE pointing to a different E1 datasource (environment in E1 lingo), that connection would still rely on the Data Access Driver that reads its configuration from the same jdbj.ini where there will be an environment mismatch.

  • Help needed on installation of Oracle 9i on Sun Solaris 8

    Hey,
Help needed on installation of Oracle 9i EE on Sun Solaris 8. The problem I met was: we followed the installation guide from the documentation. And we selected the choice "install software only". After it was done successfully, we run Database Configuration Assistant utility to create a database instance. But finally it always tried to create the instance at the root directory ( / ) which doesn't have enough space and then failed. The case was that we have set the enviroment parameters: $ORACLE_BASE = /export/mydata, $ORACLE_HOME = /export/apps/oracle9i. That means it should be installed at /export/mydata, but it didn't. Any help or advice are welcome. Thanks.

I have downloaded Oracle 11G R2 version from Windows and extracted it in Windows and copied it into DVD after extraction in two folders. Now I am mounting that DVD in Solaris 10 installed in my VMware . I made a new directory named as 'installation ' under /export/home/oracle and copied the folders from DVD to 'installation' folder. Now I am entering installation folder and try to do ./runInstaller as 'oracle ' user and getting the error mentioned before.

  • Grub2 multiple installs on same pc

Hi friends, can we have multiple installations of grub2 on the same pc on different partitions ( not the MBR ) ?
For example , I have three partitions:
    1) /dev/sda4 (500 MB)
    2) /dev/sda5 (500 MB)
    3) /dev/sda6 (500 MB)
can i install grub2 on all the above partitions at same time ?
    Many thanks.

If you install each distro's GRUB2 to the MBR, but each install will overwrite the previous.  You can use configfile to boot the other partitions.  In arch anyway, you can use grub-install to reinstall arch's GRUB2 to the MBR.  AFAIK, this should work with other distros as well.  You have to chroot into arch then run grub-install to do this.

  • Need multiple lines in single column of header using alv oops

    Hi
I am using alv oops in a report.
I need multiple lines in single column of header.
In header of my report i am using 9 columns.
In the second column i need to split the line
    Notification description/activity/work/activity long text/
    as
    Notification description/
    activity/
    work/
    activity long text/
Please guide me to achieve this functionality.

It is not possible to break the column description in the ALV  disply.
Actually, if you have a longer description in one of the seltext_* field of the fiels catalog, it will automatically display it as a tooltip, if you put the mouse over the heading. In ALV OO, you can explicitly set the tooltip text.
Also you can get more help on the field pressing F1: If you use DDIC fields, it it automatic, otherwise you can do it as you like.

  • App Store consistently fails to update apps - but shows multiple installs

The App Store app on my MBP running OS 10.9.2 consistently fails to install software updates, and shows multiple installations in the Updates "log". I've had to reinstall the OS to get to 10.9.2 after multiple failures (with corresponding entries in App Store Updates and incessant hanging at install), and had to troll around the Apple Support Communities to find a URL for Safari 7.0.3 after it also showed falsely as having updated.
Anyone have an idea about what is going on?  Missing good old Software Update.

    Hi Eskimo Boy,
I have he *EXACT* same issue. I even reinstalled Mavericks completely from scratch and tried TONS of other things.
What I tried so far is (incomplete list):
Set up new user and tried to update => failed.MAS consistently crashes when launched under the new user. => no solution but rather an additional problem => failed.
Tried to update in safe mode => failed.
Tried to reinstall Mavericks => failed.
Tried to reinstall Mavericks and migrate all user data from Time Machine backup => failed.
    Tried PRAM reset => failed.
Even tried the highly overrated check permissions => failed.
Whatever I try, I just can't update iBooks from 1.0 to 1.0.1 and Safari from 7.0.2 to 7.0.3. If you have any solution, then please let me know.
    Cheers, Paul

  • Are we allowed multiple installs of Appstore apps?

I want to install my copy of FCPX on my wife's MBP. Is this legal? When I login to my Appstore account from her computer and try to download, it opens the billing page again, and I'm worried we're going to be charged another $300. I've read mixed opinions on this subject and am hoping someone can provide clarification. Are we allowed multiple installs of Appstore apps?

You can download and install purchased apps to all your Macs providing you use the same Apple ID.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
