I need my screen replaced

I need to send my ipod in for screen replacment how do i go about this n how much does it cost

First, fix your CAPS lock key so you will stop SCREAMING at your fellow users.
Second, fixing the screen has nothing to do with service on the device.
Apple devices are not user servicable.
Take it to an Apple store for immediate replacement at the Out of Warranty rate or call 800-My-Apple to arrange a replacement.

  • IPhone 6 plus need new screen replacement

My iPhone 6 plus (space grey) is cracked and I wish to buy a new screen assembly. I don't know where I can get it?? I see on apple website they do sell it, but I live in Mauritius and it seems they don't send, instead they want us to bring them in but thats impossible for me.... Anyone know how I can get my screen repaired? I have tried locally and no one in Mauritius is offering this service for the 6 plus....Help!

Did you buy the iPhone in Mauritius? If not, the warranty and service is only valid in the country where you bought the device.
If you bought in your country, did you try to find an Authorized Apple Service Provider by using this link?

  • Can I some how get my screen replaced for free? I have a @TD Curren near me because I live in washington.

I need my screen replaced and i have a place that fixes apple products and i dont know if they do it for free and I want to know if there is a different way.Its was wet then put in uncooked rice and it works but the screen doesnt.

Warranty does not cover accidental damage and I  would rate your chance of a free replacement as close to zero
Nobody can stop  you asking but don't be offended when they refuse
You will likely be charged for a refurb replacement which in US as an example is $199 for a 4S and $149 for all other iPhones

Well that's only a possibility, not likely. I'll stick with Mac as much as I can, which I imagine will mostly be ok. If I have to, I'll use their computers in class and do PC homework assignments from home on my more powerful iMac. The only thing I really thought about before buying it was its portability and the fact that I won't be using it for actual programming jobs after school. This is merely to get me through school.

  • TS3274 My IPad is dead. Nothing will show on the screen. Screen not cracked and no water or liquid has been spilled on it. Is there a battery that needs to be replaced?

My IPad is dead. Nothing will show on the screen. Screen not cracked and no liquid spilled on it. Is there a battery that needs to be replaced?

    Battery not charging:
    1. Reset iPad; hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo
    2. Try another wall socket
    3. Try another cable (make sure it's an original Apple cable)
    4. Try another charger (make sure it's an original Apple charger)
    5. Clean Lightning port with compress air or new paint brush

  • 2007 MBP Screen replaced now hard drive needs replaced

Ok me and my wife brought our MBP to a computer guy( a non apple authroized repair guy ) to get the screen replaced. When we picked it up the computer started acting funny and 1 1/2 weeks later the computer would not even start up. My wife just left the apple store and they called her back saying the hard drive needs to be replpaced. I have a strong feeling that these computer techs that fixed the screen did something to our MBP. Is there anyway I can prove this? I called them and they said before they do any repairt they check the hard drive and make sure it passes thier test. Once it dopes thay went ahead and repaired the screen. They said they don't even go inside the computer to fix the screen.
    THanks.

You also have to sometimes accept that everytime you open up and unplug things, you run the risk of disturbing something.
No matter how experienced you are, I have seen many times where just the act of swapping a CPU or changing RAM has triggered a failure elsewhere in the system.
I think the culprit of these occurances is voltage remaining in the capacitors. It is widely acknowledged that holding the power button down for 30 seconds after unplugging devices can restore function, so it is equally likely that failiing to do so, and failing to release the charge held in the capacitors before doing work can lead to internal discharges when plugging and unplugging devices and therefore lead to unwittingly damaging equipment.
    Just a theory though.....

  • My Iphone is possessed. It turns things on without me even touching it and has deadspots on the screen. I also have to bang it while on the phone so people can hear me :/ think I'm in need of a replacement. But how? is the question

Crazy Iphone and in need of a replacement. But how do I go about getting one? Living in a rural area with no apple store .. :/

Pick up the phone and call. You can have one shipped to you.

  • MacBook Pro Freezing After Screen Replacement

I recently took my MBP in to get the screen replaced due to a screen separation issue. When I got it back it froze every now and then, but it kept continuing. Everytime I restart the computer after a freeze it will freeze up sooner and sooner. At first I thought it was a RAM issue since it particularly did it while watching videos, so I bought new RAM and it continued to freeze. Tested the new and the old RAM, but they were fine. I took it to the Genius Bar and the guy said it was a failing harddrive. Got a new harddrive upgraded to Lion and it is still freezing. I asked if something could have gone wrong when the screen was replaced and he assured me no and even if something had gone wrong they wouldn't cover it unless the actual screen was broken.
If I leave the computer off for a day it will take about 30 min before the 1st freeze, then after restart about 15 min, then 10 min, then 5 min until it will only log in then freeze.
Any guesses as to what could be causing the freezing and if it would be worth fixing as this MBP needs a new battery, a new drive (since the drive is on loan), and has the flickering screen issue?

    Screen Replaced Jan 8, 2012

Thanks for the reply. As an update, I took it into the Apple store again and it froze while they were trying to run the test. This time the guy said it was covered by the repair warrenty. After 2 weeks without a computer because something was wrong with the graphics cards they called me back and said they were just going to give me a late 2011 mid-range MBP. So I currently have a brand new MBP with no issues
Yeah... 3.5 years and they just release that fix for flickering screens. I hope it works for everyone. I know some people had some major issues with it.

  • Iphone won't power on after screen replacement

So I've dropped my Iphone 4S once and screen showed blue vertical lines. I replaced the screen for about $120. After 6 months or so I dropped it again and the screen cracked. I decided to replace the screen on my own so I got a new one and replaced it, but the phone doesn't power on after the screen replacement. I plugged it on charger, did a hard reset but still nothing. I plugged it on pc and it was recognized by the itunes! As it was plugged on pc, I did a reboot again and it left itunes as if it was powered on and suddenly powered off. Still plugged in I tried to power it on again, it was recognized again by the itunes but the screen still wasn't working. Another thing is that it burns a lot without even being on charger or on pc, and I need to take the battery off.

Sorry. There's not much we can suggest. Apple won't touch that phone now.
Try looking for advice someplace like ifixit.com.

  • Can you get just your rear camera lens replaced or do you have to get the entire back screen replaced?

I recently dropped my phone for the first time, and neither of my screens cracked but my rear camera lens did get scratched badly. I can't use it at all to take picture. It just shows up as a fuzy screen when I open my rear camera. My iPhone isn't even a year old yet. Now, I need to know if I can get just the rear lens replaced or if I have to get the entire back screen replaced? I also need to know if anyone knows how much either of these would cost? Or is it free with the one year warrenty?

You would have to get the rear glass panel replaced, it is one part. Normal warranty does not cover accidential damage. You can do it yourself for 50$:

  • Can I get my screen replaced for free?

At a New Years Eve party I was riding my little cousins Green Machine bike thing and I turned a corner and I had my iphone 4 in my front pocket and I turned a corner and it slipped out and hit the concrete ground. It has a shatter place at the top left corner on the white part on the front then it continues down to the home button, and across the top of the screen. I didn't have my Otter Box on it but I put it on after that happened. It covers up the shatter on my screen but thats pretty much it. I've been seeing people on here that has been getting there's replaced for free, so I was wondering if I could get my screen replaced. I don't have the Apple Care thing but I know that I have the Apples Warranty until December 16, 2012. Does anyone know if that covers getting my screen replaced for free or anything? I reallly need a new screen, I just don't want to spend a fortune on it! Please help!!!

  • Mac Pro Retina Screen Replacement Procedure

So I love my Mac Pro Retina but it has the ghosting issue, everything else is fine as far as I can tell with it, its had a few kernal panics but they have all been graphics related while Chrome was open, and only in Mac OSX, so I am assuming thats fine. I can play any game I want in Windows 7 with out trouble so thats a w/e.
I am past the 14 day mark for just turning it in for a new one, and I wouldn't want too anyway. So I was wondering how they handled pure screen replacements, if they do them there at the store, or if they have to ship it off. If anyone has any experience with this any info would be helpful.

I want to know what Apple has offered other people so I can go in and negotiate knowing what solutions they are offering. I have had Apple loose equipment for a period of time after being shiped of for repairs, so if they tell me its going to need to be shiped off, and someone here has had an instore replacement of the screen I would like to be able to point to that so I don't risk having my laptop lost in the ether again.
PS Apple actually handled it well by replacing the piece of equipment with the newest model, so the lost equipment ended well for me that time, but it was kind of a gaint pain in the butt.

  • How much does it cost for iPhone5 screen replacement in India for a phone purchased in India.

I purchased this phone in Nov, 2013. Unfortunately I dropped it in water day before. After drying and stuff, the screen remains blank but the phone seems to be working fine. It rings when called and shows up in iTunes. Assuming that the screen may have died and needs replacement I would like to know how much should it cost. Also, do the service centers in India do screen replacement?

    SupuDas wrote:
The only part that has been a casualty in liquid damage is the screen visibility. Phone is working. It rings when called. Even touch is working, because I can receive calls by swiping the approximate area where the receive call swipe bar is.
There is no guarantee that it will work 30 mins, a day, a week or even a month from now. There could be damage that is not yet evident. So the smart thing is to get the phone replaced.
