I need my url bar back. The customized search bar is 6x larger. I don't need this in addition to a Google page for searches. I need to see what I am trying to access. How do I enlarge the url window and shrink or delete the other window?
I can't see what I am typing in the URL bar. Maybe 5 characters are visible an a time. The Translator Bar Covers over half of the open window.
Mozilla hasn't changed anything like that in Firefox 3.6.x versions, which is getting security patches but not any further development of new or existing features. Plus, Mozilla doesn't install anything related to Yahoo, something else probably installed that.

There was a feature similar to what you are describing, that was in and out of the Firefox 4.0 betas last fall, but the 3.6 versions never had anything remotely like what your description has me visualizing.

back in the days of leopard, the dashboard widgets would come to the foreground but you could still see what you were working on. Now I've updated to mountain lion and the work is no longer visible when I activate dashboard. Can I change that back?
Go to system preferences, mission control, and unselect "Show Dashboard as a Space". While you're there, you may want to make dashboard set to a hot corner "Hot Corners" button at the bottom.

I am trying to access a forum for which you need a username and password but it keeps telling me the username/password i've entered are incorrect. Bizarrely, when I enter the same username/password combination on my iPad, it grants access without any problem.
What could be causing this, is it an issue with cookies, caches or similar. How can I resolve it? The forum administrator is at a loss as to what the problem is.Try the following steps in Safari to see if they help:
1) First try clearing the Safari cache. To do this pull down the Safari menu and select 'Empty cache...', then try logging into the site again.
2) If the issue continues then reset Safari by pulling down the Safari menu and select'Reset Safari...'. You will be presented with a list of items that can be reset. I suggest selecting the 'Reset saved names and passwords', and 'Remove all website data' options at a minimum.
Here is a list of the options and what they do. I pulled it from the Safari help page.
Clear history:
Clears the list of webpages you viewed.
Reset Top Sites:
Clears any changes you made to Top Sites, such as adding or pinning sites. If you also clear your history, your Top Sites page reverts to showing the webpage previews displayed when you first installed Safari.

How to get audio output of my instrument while playing back the other tracks?
I do not hear any audio signal from my bass guitar while playing along the other tracks in Logic. I can only hear the audio output of my bass while I record or stop the music. How can I change the settings so that I can play along and hear myself while I practice? The track for bass is not muted and is getting a strong input signal.

I've had FF5 2 days - OK, but preferred FF3, because the icons are too small, especially Gmail on Google bar. Reload page arrow is too small - and in wrong place!
I have new add-on which enlarges text on toolbars to 24. That's the size I use to browse too, using Contr. & mousewheel.
I've seen the instructions on how to make icons smaller, but not larger. I've taken off a lot of icons, hoping the others would grow
I don't want to go back to IE, hope you can help.

If by other music you mean CDs and the like, those were only on your computer to which you last synced the phone. If they weren't there and yu got them onto the phone by manually syncing to another computer you will have to go back to that computer to get hte music again. Apple Store certainly won't have it.

How do I enlarge compose mail window so message is readable?
Compose window in Mail makes even 14 pt fonts barely readable. How do I enlarge the size of the display?
The overall display on my iMac 27inch is just fine -- except for the "New Mail" compose window. Even at 14 points the message is SMALLER than the system type in the window.
And I do not think my mail recipients want to read 24 point type -- nor should I have to compose at that level and then reduce it before I send the message.
Apple is the design standard for computers -- except for this glaring and daily example of hubris!! Why have they not fixed this? -
My iPod Classic was stolen. What to expect trying to access my "old" iTunes library?
My iPod Classic 160GB was stolen this week. Got it for Xmas last year and had only started using it in the last few months. It was loaded with 150+ GB of music. I got a good deal today on a replacement 160GB Classic (7th gen) from Craigslist. I'm charging it now but I'm wondering what problems I'm going to encounter trying to get my 150+GB of music onto this "new to me" iPod Classic. It would be nice if I could simply sync the library to the iPod but I'm afraid it can't be that simple. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
I logged into Apple earlier trying to get the serial # off my stolen iPod Classic and noticed that I didn't see it registered with my iPhone and my other 2 iPod Nanos. I was 99% sure I had registered it. Is this in anyway a problem? Could it have been re-registered by the person who stole it? Actually, that would be nice because I still have the box with the serial #. But just wondering what registering provides and how my Classic isn't there.
One other thing, can I simply register this "new to me" iPod Classic with Apple?
Thanks!If the media is in the library then yes it is that simple. Connect the device, load it up with your media. The problem is when you try to connect a full device to a new empty library on a new computer when iTunes will offer to replace the content on the device with that in the local library, i.e. nothing! (For anyone in that position see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device).
You should be able to add your devices at https://supportprofile.apple.com/ though I'm not sure what happens if the second hand iPod was previously registered.

Hello, I have a problem, trying to acces my netflix account on my apple tv, it appears an error ATV-ui1613 says to try to acces later, and I couldnt do it yet. i cannot access my netflix account, this all began when I configured my itunes account on a new PC, but at the Pc it seems to be well recognized and activated. My itunes account is working good on the PC, is when trying to access netflix and rent itunes movies that I have issues.
Can somebody help me figure it out please?

Please help! I updated safari and yes it is an older desktop, but now all of the sudden tabs I have open will freeze on me. I can see what is going on, but am unable to type anywhere on the page! I have to shut down safari and then open up a whole new window to even attempt to get it to stop! It is driving me insane not to mention I need my desktop to work properly. I dropped my iPhone 4 & cracked its screen. I went to the service center to get it repaired. SInce it is not under warranty, i was willing to pay for repair charges.
They told me that the screen can not be repaired or changed, but they can replace my damaged set with an equivalent set, on payment of RM 760, roughly, 25-30% cost of a new one. I agreed.
They told me to:
1/ pay upfront
2/ leave my old set with them
3/ and the replacement unit will be delivered in 4-6 days.
I agreed on 1& 3 but not to leave my damaged set with them because it is still working and I don't have another spare phone with me, to serve me the 4-6 day waiting period.
THe service center guy told me that if I want a replacement, I have to agree to all 3 conditions and that I should buy another phone for 6 days. I told him that I constantly need email & Internet access, as part of my work responsibilities, so I can not do with a simple phone. It obviously, doesn't make sense to buy an expensive smart phone, go thru the trouble of transferring my data & mails & contacts - just for a week.
Unfortunately, all these logics fell on deaf ears & the service centre guy kept insisting on ALL of the above conditions.
I came back so flustered & upset.
I thought customer service was about solving problems & not creating hurdles for customers.
what should I do?
ANy advice?What would you do for transportation if you drove your car into a tree and had to wait while it was fixed? You'd need to rent, borrow or buy another car, no? The same applies to your phone. This is not Apple's problem; if the service center does not have replacements in stock for immediate swap-out, then it's up to you to provide a backup device or do without.
If you're in a country where Apple provides direct service for iPhones, you may be able to call Apple support and arrange for advance replacement, where they send you the replacement phone and then you send back the old one. Apple offers such service in several countries, though you have to pay an extra fee for the service. If not, then you'll just have to wait for the service center to get in the replacement, and will have to arrange an alternative to use during that time.

Currently, i have an Cisco IE3000 switch, with an interface defined as a trunk. The other end is unknown to me, but I know it transmits tagged frames. I just don't know which VLAN-ids are in use - so I was thinking on doing some debugs to learn the VLAN-ids. Remote end does not transmit BPDUs
That would require me to define all VLANs, which may be to much for the IE3000. It supports only 1005.
A debug telling me that a packet have been dropped because the VLAN is not defined - would be the way... -
How can I enlarge a slideshow image and close it to return to the original slide within a set?
In my site, there are several slideshows. Each image within each slideshow is of a medium size on the page (not a thumbnail). I would like to be able to click on each individual image within the slideshow to enlarge it - either on its own page or otherwise. Is it possible?
An option I've tried is to create a hyperlink to open an individual page with that image enlarged. However I can only return to the beginning of the slideshow (by creating a hyperlink to the page with that slideshow)...and not the particular slide I enlarged.
