I need printing help.

Hello All.
I am trying to print a document with InDesign or Acrobat Reader. I'm on MAC OSX using all CS3 adobe product.
I've created a 75 page document and the dimensions of each page are 8.75"W x 5.625"H. It's a custom size. I've set up a custom size in my printer settings on my Epson R300 but cannot get it to print. I've even changed the printer set up to a standard size that is close in dimensions but still it won't print.
I can print other documents from other software. But I'm having trouble printing this specific one as well as other's from all of my adobe software.
Any ideas?

Hi Mike.
When I try to print- the print fails. I open up my print utility and there is my process just sitting idle. I try to restart it and OSX thinks for a bit and then puts a hold on the document.
When I click on print preview. Everything looks fine.
Could this be something to do with my fonts? Recently while loading in a bunch of new fonts all my adobe software stopped working completely. I had to uninstall and reinstall all of it.
I scoured the adobe forum and found that sometimes fonts cause software problems.

Need Printer help on my first Mac

I have just purchased my first Mac, an 11" MBA. I have file sharing working wonderfull. At this point my problem is printer sharing. My main computer is a PC and is wired to the router and wired USB to my printer and prints fine. I have a second PC that is wireless to the router and prints wirelessly to the main PC. This PC prints fine as well. My MBA shares files fine with the other two PC's but won't print correctly. I go thru the print set up just fine and it shows the network workgroup, pc, and printer. I have downloaded the drivers for mac os 10.6 from the printer website. At this point when I press print, the job seems to get stuck in que on the mac as well as the PC. The PC print job shows 0 bytes and seems to get hung up.
When I set up the printer it asks for a password for the print server or allows me to set it up as a guest. I have done guest, and used a password but have no idea if that password is correct.
I have a cannon mp600 printer, and a ATT Uverse router (2wire) if that matters, can anyone help me get this thing printing?

I thought maybe since the printer is hooked into a PC do i need to install the windows printer drivers on the mac?

Hello Community...Macbook w 10.6.8 and I need printing help. Using three canon photo printers of same model and need them to print individually. They are older and NOT network-able. Currently using another Mac to print to 2nd printer. 3 is idle.

Is there software available where all I have to do is hit print and any of the 4x6 printers will print? Once I get this issue settled, I'll get a second larger format. I have to get this rectified because of time and ease. As mentioned, I have a second mac that I share screens with so my assistant can find pics for customers while I'm shooting. So, I can print through that mac to the printer. (ie....print to canon@##%#@Mac 2) I don't want to bring a third computer just to print to three of the same model printer. (That's what I've been doing) BTW....I totally know there are faster dye-sub printers out there but I'm about 4 more events from purchasing one...($$$) Some print under 10 seconds. I would appreciate any answers out there. Thank you.

I don't have that printer and I'm not on Mac, so someone else has to step in there. Generally a green/magenta cast indicates none/double printer color management. But then I don't know what you mean by "slight".
The Spyders aren't the most consistent and reliable calibrators out there. I had a Spyder 3 sensor that I just threw away because it gave a distinct red cast (I have several other calibrators, so there was no doubt). Another potential problem is that with most calibrators you can only adjust the white point along the blue/yellow Kelvin scale, but not on the green/magenta scale. This is often necessary to get a good white point color. In this case you need to use the monitor's OSD controls, and if possible the "pre-calibration" function in the calibrator to measure and monitor it - if that function exists. And I don't know if this is possible with an iMac.
This is basically a question of getting the white point right, both on the blue/yellow and the green/magenta axis (and luminance of course). The goal is to get a visual match to paper white on screen. With the white point properly set, neutral color balance relates to that, and the rest more or less follows by itself. (In addition you should set the proper black point/contrast for full control, but that's not the issue here).

Need Printing Help (location to top-left?)

im able to print out a JFrame, no problem..but the onscreen image and whats printed on paper arent exactly the same
1) Printed is 1.5 - 2X bigger than onscreen (1280x1024 resolution)
2) Printed starts near the middle of the page, not at the top left hand corner

Printer Help Needed

I have a MBPro 17 running osx10.4.8. I have a home network which I utilize multiple printers. I am having trouble with the driver for my kyocera mita FS-9100DN. I have gone to the mfr's website and downloaded the osx104.sit file which is explained to be the driver for the printer for OSX. When I try to open the file to execute the installer for the driver, I get a message stating that there is no program designated to open the file. I am new to mac's, and I really need some help here. Anyone that can give me a hand would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey, Greg, I had a similar situation downloading an update for Quicken 2007 for Mac; the update was a ".sit" file and hence requires Stuffit Expander. Is Stuffit Expander a good program for the new Intel Macs? I have a MacBook Pro 17" with the 2.16 Ghz Intel chip. For some reason I feel a little hesitant to download and install the Stuffit app. What's the current experience with this app?

Hp Envy 120 printer - Help! Hp Utility - Setup - can not find printer over wireless

Hi all,
I am in desperate need of help - I am running OS X 10.9.1 and have downloaded Mavericks update to support the printer. However, during the Utility Setup, the printer can not be located by the tool. I have also tried to manually type in the IP address and that does not work either.
Prior to 10.9.1 upgrade, everything worked fine.

Please I need some help with a table

Hi All
I need some help with a table.
My table needs to hold prices that the user can update.
Also has a total of the column.
my question is if the user adds in a new price how can i pick up the value they have just entered and then add it to the total which will be the last row in the table?
I have a loop that gets all the values of the column, so I can get the total but it is when the user adds in a new value that I need some help with.
I have tried using but as I need to set the toal with something like total
    totalTable.setValueAt(total, totalTable.getRowCount()-1,1); I end up with an infinite loop.
Can any one please advise on some way I can get this to work ?

Need some help with a remove function

Design and code a program that will maintain a list of product names. Use a String type to represent the product name and an array of strings to implement the list. Your program must implement the following methods:
Add a product to the list
Remove a product from the list
Display then entire list
Find out if a particular product is on the list.
You need to create a command command loop with a menu() function. The program must continue asking for input until the user stops.

By the way, you can't remove anything from an array. You'll have to copy the remaining stuff into a new one, or maybe maintain a list of "empty" slots. Or null the slots and handle that. The first way will be the easiest though.

I need a help to generate new file

Hi Guys
I need your help. I have two text box in my form, the first one takes the file name to read, and then when user type in another file name in the second textbox, result should be saved as a typed file name in the same path.
What I really want to do is, when the file is exist already (for instance, I'll name it as result.txt), my program scan through the result.txt file and append the new data at the end of the file. But result.txt file doesn't exist, it has to generate new file and save the data into the new one. I think I need to implement these in the OpenFile1() function, but I dont' know how.
Does anybody have idea to solve this?

There's a lot of unnecessary code there, and anyway it isn't formatted in a readable way so I am not going to look too closely at it. But if you want to append to the file if it already exists and create the file if it doesn't, then all you need is this: fileOutput = new PrintWriter(new FileWriter(fileName_out, true));Note the "true" parameter there which (if you look in the API documentation) says that new data will be appended at the end of the file.

1.) Create the following BASH-Script

sed -i 's/#x#/'$CUSTNO'/g' controlfile.datI've use datafile.csv as the name of the datafile to load and controlfile.dat as the name of your controlfile. Please change this to fit your needs.
This script looks for the occurrence of your constant value and stores this value in the variable CUSTNO. Then it look for a string #x# in your controlfile and changes #x# to the value of CUSTNO.
So in your controlfile there should be a line for custno like that:
custno CONSTANT '#x#'This line will be replace in your example to:
custno CONSTANT '35642'To get this to work I assume that:
1.) Your constant value is always at the third position in the header of your datafile.
2.) You've made the change with #x# in your controlfile.

Need big help creating PDF/X-1a compliant document.

Hi all,
I have tried this on my own but cannot make it work as I am not so computer savy. I have created all the files to specifications as best I can but when I try and use the preset PDF/X-1a it says violation both artbox and trimbox for every page. Ive tried fixing this manually and by using Preflight but it doesnt work for me. Can someone please help me create a PDF/X-1a complient document? I am desperate as I am trying to do this for a friend who needs my help. Looking for a good savior/Samaratin for help. I create the files in photoshop and saved as PDF with the preset PDF/X-1a_2001 but I cant or at least I dont know how to define the bounding boxes like Trim Box and etc. in photoshop. The problem I am facing is that the pages are supposed to be set as 11.5 x8.75 for printing at 11.0 and 8.5. So I made my files the 11.5 x 8.75 size but now I cant set them to be printed at the right size(if that makes any sense-sorry I am a noob). So I am not sure what to do. I thought saving it as a PDF in photoshop and then fixing it in Acrobat was what I was supposed to do? I tried manually to set the artbox to 0 and set the trimbox to where it needed to be 11.0x8.5 with different parts cut off for the odds and even pages. But still when I try to save as PDF/X-1a it gives me error messages. I have searched the web but cant figure it out. It seems so easy for people to do it but I cant figure it out and I am panicking and need help. Can anyone help me?

Borderless Printing Help

I really need some borderless printing help. I finally figured out with my printer, that the bottom margin is ridiculously offset so I need to use borderless printing to prevent the bottom footer from being cut off (HP 2610 printer, margins being read are .07"-top, .13"-right&left, .56"-bottom).
I know there is a way to choose borderless from the page setup screen. And I tried looking in the system preferences to see if I could choose borderless as the default but there doesn't seem to be a way as far as I can see.
Does anybody know if there is a way to override the settings and make the borderless 8.5x11 the default paper size instead of the standard US letter?
BTW I am looking to do this on a system-wide basis since multiple programs have this problem, but if anyone knows of ways to do this specifically in Pages or Word that would be helpful too.

Got it to work in MS Word 2004. Any idea of how to get it to save in Pages 2? I choose to Save As Default, but it keeps reverting back when I open a new document.

Bex Broadcasting w/Print Help Service

I need to set up BEX Broadcast that will process a web template, then run the Print Help Service, and finally send the output (print formatted) to an email distribution list.
How can I set up either the web template or the broadcaster so that it will include the call to the print help service in it's command stream when scheduled through the broadcaster?

usually, you don't attach "modify_class" to the URL CMD, rather it needs to be attached to the object tag of the "item".
Once it is attached to the object tag, you just need to attach "help_serivce" class & the "item" to the URL CMD.
