I need recover my operating system

I want recover my windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit because someone has erase it and installed xp pirate.
Help me.

Ive done the same on my notebook. Just use your recovery media and install original recovery image.
If you want to install your copy do this. After clean OS installation you must install all necessary drivers, tools and utilities one by one.
I dont know which notebook model do you have but all stuff you can find on Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
If you need some assistance you are welcome.

  • I want to install CyberLink PowerDirector on my Macbook Pro but I need Windows software operating system to be install ? I need help!

I  downloaded PowwerDirector 12 trial and when I try to open it,  I got a message that "CyberLink PowerDirector was not compatible to Mac". After some inquiries, I found that I need Winows software operating system to be install in Mac! Can sombody help me?

For Windows on a Mac you'd have to own a Windows retail system installer with keycode, and use BootCamp utility in the Mac OS X to set up a partition on the computer hard disk drive (issues? if you have Apple Fusion Drive where a SSD + HDD are automatically co-joined) and then install the Windows system there.
Or get & use Parallels, or VMFusion software and use it along with Windows to run applications written for a Windows OS. And would need to have a large internal hard disk drive with plenty of room since the space for Windows takes away space for Mac OS X and its applications to run; and also you'd need plenty of chip RAM installed to run this other System plus software... and for Windows, its own anti-virual software not needed at all in a Mac.
Not sure about this, http://www.wondershare.com/video-editor/mac/ suggests in their advert to be something to use if you can't use the cyberlink product.
Or don't want to buy the upscale or pro Apple image software that does a fine job at a cost. I'd try & avoid running Windows in a Mac even though it can run three or more different OS, including linux/unix builds.
Never heard of either one: wondershare or cyberlink powerdirector.
(the latter looked 'more pro' for windows)
    {But check for any hint of some odd effects before you get and install any software from a marginal or unknown source, since adware can follow, and really odd things can start to happen then, like search engine redirects.}
Anyway, helpful information about your computer and its current configuration, OS X version, RAM installed, hard disk drive specs (free vs used capacity) are numbers that can make a difference going into a new thing. Even Mavericks alone is not an upgrade, often that requires a bunch of extra chip RAM capacity.
Not sure if this helps, another may offer more direct ideas...
    Good luck & happy computing!

Snow Leopard, Mac OS X 10.6, is not iCloud compatible.  You need to upgrade to Lion, Mac OS X 10.7, via a download from the app store...$29 (US), provided you had at least 10.6.6.  You can upgrade to 10.6.8 for free as part of the software updated function, then go to the app store and purchase the Lion download.
When you do that, before installing Lion, make a copy of the Lion Installer from the Applications folder where it downloads to some other location, such as your Documents folder, so you have a backup copy.
For Lion you must have at least an Intel Core 2 Duo, i3, i5, i7, or Xenon processor, 2 GB memory though 4 GB is better and 7 GB free space on the hard drive.
As part of 10.7.2 you end up with the iCloud connection.

  • Rescue and Recovery Capability to recover other operating systems

    Hello Folks,
    I have a question regarding R&R. I have a thinkpad T520 running windows 7. It came with a 500GB hdd and I allocated 50GB of that to a Linux system. I bought a 1 TB HDD and would like to replace the one inside, and this brings me to my question;
*Does the R&R tool take a complete image of  my hdd, meaning if I was to recover my backup to a new hdd, would I be able to access my Linux installation and all the files in that partition as well, or is it specific to the windows system only.
*If the above is indeed not possible, is there a way to change my settings on R&R to do it or do I have to resort to another paid 3rd party software to do that for me.
Please help as I can't afford to lose anything on the Linux system as I need it for research.
    Thanks in advance,
    Solomon

    Hello and welcome,
I can't answer directly so apologies for crashing your thread.  I'd be very surprised if R&R recognized anything but windows-flavored partitions.  I don't have one of my old multi-boot ThinkPads at hand to test or I would.
IIRC backup is one of the reasons I finally gave up on multi-boot and went to a pure Windows setup running Linux and Solaris as virtual machines.  It makes for a very simple backup process.
Having said that, I actually use Acronis for backup. It can handle multi-OS backups but in my experience I always had to repair the Linux partition after a restore.
Is the virtual machine approach something that would work for you?  If not you might use one of the Linux backup approaches to save that partition separately.

  • Trouble connecting HP2540 to my MacBookPro. I need 10.6 operating system and I have a 10.5.8.

    I

    Hi gmscmills,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you you are trying to install your HP Deskjet 2540 to your MacBookPro running the 10.5.8 Operating system, you are right in saying that you need to have atleast 10.6 to install the software and drivers for your DJ 2540.
Take a look here: What if I Don't See My Operating System?
I would also suggest contacting Apple or checking out their support options for the Operating systems to see what is available for you:

  • What do I need to reinstall operating system on toshiba nb 205 mini laptop with win 7

I want to re install the operating system on my mini laptop but not sure what I need? I boght this off of a nice older lady but she didn't give me any discs with this laptop. Would windows 7 be the actual software that came with this laptop? The numbers on the windows sticker seem to be mostly worn off. Is there a way to do this without the product key? All help would be great! also, can I buy a re install disc and use that? Or is there a way for me to burn one off of the laptop itself? I do not have a dvd/cd spot on this laptop so can I use a flash drive? Thanks

Which NB205? There is a label on the bottom.

  • Qosmio G30 - Need two Windows operating systems: Vista and XP

    Hello,
can somebody help me about procedure for next request:
I need both operating systems on my Qosmio: Vista and XP
I have two RAID drives inside my Qosmio and I have installed Vista on first one.
I tried to install XP on second hard drive and I did that (I inserted XP installation disk and sellected second drive for installation) but after installation I had just XP boot option.
I can see all Vista files on the first disc, but boot sector enables XP only. XP Windows directory was intalled on second drive, but boot.ini and some system files were in the root of the first drive.
I prefered Vista and I repeated the procedure (with my recovery Vista CD) and now I have Vista on first disk and all files of XP on second disk. I did not investigate how to obtain complete bootable XP system on second disk.
    What I need:
    Vista on first drive.
    XP on second drive
I would like to have completely independent Windows system. That means I need boot selection by BIOS, not by Vista or XP.

    Thank you for your help,
but I have solved my problem by the next way:
Fistly I installed Vista by the recovery disk.
After that I phisically removed the disk No. 1. (open the cover unscrew the hard disk and put out the hard disk).
I started the Qosmio and I was informed that disk No.1 has problem but I continued with CD boot procedure with XP installation disk inside. I installed the XP on the disk No. 2, and after that I put the hard disk No.1. on its position again.
Now, I can boot my Qosmio from the disk No.1 with Vista, or from the hard disk No.2 under XP operating system.
That is all. The screw driver has solved all my problems with BIOS possibilites and hard disk enable/disable.
    Best regards,
    Dragan

  • Do I need a new operating system to get 30 day InDesign download?

I am trying go load a free trial of InDesign.  The Adobe website states that InDesign no longer supports the operating system.  It states that the system requirement only works with supported platforms.  Does this mean I have to get an updated OS from apple?  Adobe is not clear.  As you can tell, I am new to this.  Thanks for any help you can give me.

Based on the message you indicate you are getting it would appear that you do require a different system in order to be able to utilise the InDesign version you are trying to install.
You should check out the system requirements for whatever version that is and see where your system comes up short:

  • DM3 1035DX Hard Drive Failure.....Need to reload operating system on new HD but how?

I have a DM3-1035dx which had a hard drive failure.  When you turn it on it starts booting up and then shuts off and restarts. I took out the HD and then got to the point where it asked for the operating system so I am pretty sure the HD is the problem.  I can get into set up and change the boot sequence but what should I boot to? I don't have a floppy or CD drive although I would get a usb drive it it will work.  I also don't have recovery disks just the windows product key? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Put the hard drive back in and go into the BIOS (press F10 when you see the HP splash screen on bootup) and navigate to the Diagnostics Tab, then select Memory and/or Hard Drive tests and see if either of those return an error.
If there is no error try a hard reset.  You can do this by removing the battery and unplugging the AC Adapter. Then press and hold the power button on the laptop for about 30 seconds, then put the battery back in and plug in the AC Adapter and try turning it on again.

  • Older imac, need to upgrade operating system

My iMac is old, Ineed to upgrade from 10.5.8, any suggestions?

    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mavericks if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
Upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion or Mavericks
To upgrade to Mavericks you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8, Lion, or Mountain Lion installed. Purchase and download Mavericks (Free) from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
         OS X Mavericks- System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mavericks
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) —
                 Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table — RoaringApps.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

  • Need to switch operating systems for creative cloud software

I currently have creative cloud adobe suite on Mac OS. I now need it on windows (for my job). I'm not sure exactly what I need to do: whether I need to uninstall it on Mac OS 1st, or if I can leav it there so long as I only use one machine at a time.
Also, I plan on installing it on Windows via Bootcamp-VM on the same macbookpro that it is already installed on. I already have CS5 Creative Suite on that windows partition. Would installing CS6 somehow cancel out my CS5 installations, and do I need to deactivate my CS5 installations 1st?

You can activate your Creative Cloud subscription on up to two machines - Mac/Mac, Win/Win or Mac/Win.
The license agreement is that you will not use the software simulataneously on two machines.
You can use CS6 and CS5 on the same machine. No need to uninstall CS5.
