I need serious Itunes help!!!!!!!!!!!!
i downloaded my Itunes but it won't open all i get is a little time hand thing and then nothing, ive tried quite a few things but it won't open, i restart and i have my ipod nano disconnected but it won't work still!!!
It appears from your profile that you have Windows 98 installed. iTunes for Windows was first introduced for Windows 2000 so there isn't a version that works with either 98 or ME. You could have a look at XPlay, Anapod or Ephpod which will work with Windows 98/ME. However XPlay and Anapod are commercial programs so you might consider it worth the extra expense to upgrade to XP (which you may find at a discount price now that Vista is out) if your computer will run it. Staying with 98/ME, you may also require drivers, there is a link in the Anapod page to suitable iPod/USB drivers:

I need some serious iTunes help or I'm going to throw my iPod in the pool..
Okay...here's my problem. I cannot import. There is no import button at all. There is on my husbands computer but not mine. I have repaired iTunes in the add/remove programs and I just uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes. I'm trying to put my son's CD's on my computer to load on to his Shuffle.
I did a diagnostic on the Apple help boards and it did say that it did not detect an audio CD but I do have one.
Any advice? I would be so grateful.
SilverceladonI'm having the same problem. Bought my girlfriend an Ipod for Chistmas and can't import cd's into Itunes to load to the Ipod. The cd doesn't show up at all in Itunes nor does it ask if you want to import the songs. It used to work. Don't know what happened. I ran Itunes diagnostics on my cdrom drive and get an error 263. Sent that to tech support but no response. Let me know if anyone has a solution.

Ok...Never before had issues with itunes until the latest updates that go back to this past fall...I really have no idea how to use this program like I once did.
here is what I need help with:
1) Bought an album on my iphone...cannot seem to find where to download it on any of my three macs (MBP, MM, imac). In itunes on my MM it seems to exist in the cloud only, but there is an exclamation point to the left of each song. I cannot find this album on any of my other two macs and cannot find an option to download it to these anywhere.
2) My music library is located on an external RAID drive. In itunes preferences I always set this as the location of my itunes folder, but for some reasons it always defaults back to the itunes folder that is on the local HD. WHy does it keep changing back?
3) Somehow I ended up with three different libaries. There is a libaray with a little house icon with a musical note on it, than the RAID library, than some other library with chinese characters on it...I have no idea where this latter one came from...Just run the iPod updater. One of the choices is to restore it back to factory defaults. That should wipe the drive. Then you can run the updater again and install the latest version of software for your particular iPod.
I had the same problem once before, and that took care of it, lickity split!

I was unable to access my email from my phone all morning. I tried to access it from my computer wityh no luck. Imnot sure if this is a reult of the zappos hacking! I ended up changing my password in my msn account on my computer and was able to access my mail. But, now i cant get it from my phone still. I put the new password into my acount info on my phone and it keep saying "user or password for [email protected]" is incorrect". Im putting the new password in the niformation and its not working. Do i need to delete the account and re create it? Please help. Thanks.
Thank you. Here is what's bugging me. Since i was finally able to change my password online and access my email I came to my phone put in my new password, assuming I needed to, and I was still getting a pop up saying user or password info was incorrect. I even deleted my email account and started over only to get the same response! Seems weird to me.

I would like to be able to make buttons that allow for me to click and change the content that is on the particular page. The content on that page would change but not the page itself. I would be able to click on one of these buttons and see a different graphic or content group. HOW CAN I DO THIS?????
Show/hide will work if all items you want to control are buttons. That may not be the case always .If you are targeting DPS overlays and need a different method, please try the following:
1. Place all the items you want to show on same page (overlap them or align them to any location on the page)
2. Select all the items, go to Object States panel and click on "Convert selections to multi-state object" (observe the hierarchy of states.. you can reorder them and rename if you want)
3. Create buttons and select the button you want to assign, and in buttons panel click Actions +, and select "Go To State"
4. In the buttons panel: Select Object > the name of multi-state object you created, and select State > select the state name you want to show by this button
5. Select the next button and assign the action (in this case the next state of the object you want to show, by same steps as done above)
6. Preview to confirm if the action assignments are correct by the clicking on the Preview button at the bottom of the panel -
Computer dummy, needs serious internet help.
I bought a Fujitsu laptop about a year ago. When I got it I also got a linksys router, to run the internet wirelessly off another computer in my house. When it was all hooked up, I receive the internet on my laptop, but my download rates are horrible. and I get frequent long periods of lagging. When I download, its around 14 Kbps, when internet is functioning normally, and only 5 Kbps during the lag spikes. This is very frustrating, as I play ( or at least attempt too) several internet games. During the non lag times I get decent ping on the games, and lag isnt a big issue. but that doesnt last long. Websites load pretty quick during non lag times, but simple websites (yahoo.com, google.com) take 15-30 seconds to load when lagging. And when i click the website page with my mouse, i get a error Ding noise. The computer my router is hooked up to isnt mine. and my roomate ( who's computer it is) is a little anti-social. so getting him to get someone to check out the problem is almost out of the question. The lag seems to happen, when he is surfing the net. but even at times his computer is off, i STILL get the lag. any help would be very very apprieciated.
It sounds like lag is your main problem. Are you running any backround programs that use the internet? For example, is Windows, or your Antivirus program set for "Automatic updates". Do you run P2P programs set to download music in the backround? If so, these programs could be stealing your bandwidth.
Anothe possible cause is radio wave interference. If you have a 2.4 GHz wireless phone, wireless mouse, wireless keyboard, etc. - these could be interfering with your wireless connection. If possible turn them off, or at least move them away from your wireless computer. Also, sometimes changing the wireless channel to 1 or 11 will fix this problem -- this would have to be done in the router.

If you have bad song links in your library, hilite them and hit the delete button. Then locate the folder(s) where your music is located and drag and drop into the large library window in iTunes ( where your tracks show up). This will force the tunes into iTunes. Before you start, check your preferences in iTunes specifically under the"Advanced" tab, general settings. I prefer that the 1st 2 boxes are unchecked. (Keep iTunes Music folder organized & Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library). They are designed to let iTunes manage your library. I prefer to manage it myself. Suit yourself. If there is a way for iTunes to restore broken links other than locating one song at a time I haven't found it yet. (I wish Apple would fix this, as I have used that feature in other apps.) This is the way I do it and I have approx. 25,000 songs and podcasts and videos at present. Hope this helps. -

There is no other way than to plug into a computer to restore the phone. You can use another computer to do so, but in case you did not back up to iCloud your data and settings will be gone.

I lost all email 6 months and older in mac mail. In my in-box as a well as all other folders I created. I expected that the mac email software would keep all email as it did for me in when I used to use Outlook. As well I thought I was covered with the Time Machine I have installed. Well.....The Time Machine that I was aggressively encouraged to buy apparently doesn't back up email. If it does, I must need some secret decoder ring to unlock where it is. I need serious help. I lost months of professional and personal data. I need to fix this immediately and find some way to get my email back. Please help.
In March when I upgraded to Lion and iCloud I also experienced a similar problem (cluster of problems) which was solved by a password reset (conforming to new requirements) for my Apple ID. I'm glad to see that many nice people contributed and your primary problem is fixed. My comment is on your Quicken problem.
Your data inside Quicken 2004 is on borrowed time. In the process of researching personal budgeting apps I found many reports on the web that indicate Intuit as a company is scaling down Quicken (desktop) development and its future attention to the Mac platform will be minimal.
Did you know that Intuit is behind Mint.com? You may be hesitant to put your financial data "in the cloud" and I may be being sheepish, but.. bbaaaa, bbaaaaa, the cloud is where it's going. I know first-hand want a pain in the arse it is to customize an app to your liking. I spent several hours on Mint.com setting up categories and tagging transactions. It's tedious. I didn't look because I wasn't a Quicken user, but perhaps Intuit was nice enough to provide a data conversion path for Mint.com. It is worth a look.
My second suggestion is to scour the web for a hack solution. You can't be the only person who is facing this problem. Quicken was very popular. I just bet someone has posted directions or some code for exporting the Quicken 2004 data and manipulating it for something else.
