I need some help - Can't get response from refurbished AP1232AG access points -

We purchased 4 Cisco-refurb AP1232AG access points, intending to use one as a router and the others as repeaters. We have ran AC power to locations for all of the routers, mounted them in outdoor NEMA boxes, added the lightning arrestors and attached 12db omni antennas. All of that process went well.
I'm trying to access the routers per instructions by cisco, which state that all refurbs are set to 10.0.0.1 and must be accessed using a console cable from computer com port to the unit's console port. We have the cable and have it set up in that manner. We have tried using telnet, serial and web sessions within the Indigo software and it  states the unit is not responding. I've tried using the Cisco IPSU and get the same message that the unit won't respond. I can't ping it from the C drive as well. All of the routers respond similarly so I'm certain that it's my fault and not the APs.
Is there anyone who can take a minute to walk me through what I may or may not be doing correctly to access the APs and get them configured? I lack the requisite background to determine the problem on my own. I feel confident that I can configure them if I can get to them.

    I know this is probably a simple question, but I just want to make sure I don't mess up my computer! I have an old school DV iMac, and bought the Mac OS X upgrade not too long after it came out (which is rather a while ago now!), but couldn't install it became I don't have enough RAM. And I obviously have just put it off and off. Now I'm at uni, and want the computer to work as well as it can for my mum, because she's even worse than me when it comes to computers. So, anyway, I need RAM. What type do I need and where can I get it from fairly cheaply? And how much would you recommend I get? My friend says he knows how to put it in, so all okay there hopefully/

    I remember being able to get more details than this from somewhere on the computer, but I can't remember where...I haven't used it for 6 months or something, and am obviously getting forgetful.

    I just bought some RAM from Crucial.
    If you go to www.crucial.com/uk and follow the Crucial Memory Advisor Tool, you should be able to find the RAM for your Mac.
    1 GB sticks are pretty good value at the moment (they've even gone down a few pounds since I bought mine a week ago) and if you enter this code (found it on aonther thread here) you might get a couple of pounds knocked off the total: CUSTOMPC
    There's also places like Kingston & Cancom to try, as well as Misco.co.uk. But Crucial select the recommended RAM for your Mac.
    Also, when you think you've found the right RAM and want to buy it, try the Apple agent chat, and double-check with them.

    Back up all data.
    Triple-click the line of text below to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
    from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
    From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
    The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
    If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
    If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

    I just recently bought a IPod Touch (16GB). I had discovered for me to connect to the internet on my Ipod Touch I need a Wireless Router or have some kind of WiFi connection, I don't have that right now but I Do Have a DSL Broadband Modem ( Westell). I had recently ordered a Apple Airport Extream Base station hoping that may Help me connect and have the WiFi that I need to have connect to my Ipod Touch. What do you think?
    My Mac Mini already has a wireless card Airport Extream installed but the Airport is turned off, How Do I Turn it back on in my computer?
    I was reading one Post that was kind of similar to my situation, the answer was that the Person needed a USB Cable to connect to the Ipod Touch, How is that Set Up? and what type of USB Cable? and can you get one from either the Apple web site or from MacMall?
    The other Answer was to share the WiFi with a broadband and to create a WiFi Network with the Mac Mini How Do I do That and How Do I Share the Internet connection with my IPod Touch?
    In My Ipod Touch Settings under the WiFi it says to choose a Network: there are 2 Options one is 2WIRE460 which is Locked the other says: Other where I have to put in a Network name, How do I get Pass this or how Do I set this up? after I set up a wireless and a WiFi system?

    Hello, 
    You can use the Mini and it's Airport Extreme card as a simple router so there is no need for the AEBS. You cannot sync the iPod touch by WiFi (Airport) but you can access the internet:
    Go to  menu > System Preferences... > Sharing > Internet tab.
    Choose "+Share your connection from: Built-in Ethernet+" and "+To computers using: Airport+".
    Click "+Airport Options...+"
    Enter a Network Name of your choosing.
    Check "+Enable Encryption (using WEP)+"
    Enter a 13-character password twice.
    Select "128-bit".
    Press "Okay".
    Press "Start".
    Navigate to  menu > System Preferences... > Sharing > Services tab.
    Check "+Personal Web Sharing+".
    You should now be good to go to use Safari.

  • Need some help- elderly neighbour getting charged ...

    I have a bit of an issue and was wonder if someone could offer advice. 
    My mother lives in elderly sheltered housing and asked if I could connect a neighbours BT box. The old lady is disabled and clearly very vunerable, no family support as no children.  
    I popped in and was shown a letter from BT which said 'Act Now to avoid losing your BT TV service' and it then went on to explain that the old box wasnt being supported. She was petrified she would lose her TV signal.
    Anyway I proceeded to swap boxes only to find it wasnt even connected...her TV was plugged into the wall, so freeview which she was happy with.I also found a router / hub and asked about internet. She said she had never used the internet, no PC / laptop or anything.
    All the old dear wanted was a BT landline. Closer inspection revealed she had been charged £70 a month for the last six years for services she doesnt use /need.
    I rang BT today, explained everything and requested that the charges for internet / the box be stopped and someone collect the new box. 
    After consultation with a manager they informed me that the old dear had agreed to a new box over the phone (she thought she would lose her TV!! ) and any change of contract is subject to a £186 charge !!
    They simply would not give an inch on the matter. 
    What do I do, where do we go from here.... clearly im not privvy to the phone conversations this old lady had but for six years she only wanted a landline, probably got confused with the freeview business and was obviously subject to some heavy duty selling from BT..
    She's not worried about the six years but there is a point of princiipal about the £186 charge for not having a new box she doesnt need.

  • Ipod updater, i really need some help can no body help?

    Everything seems to be working except for the fact that my ipod won't synch with itunes, it keeps saying this ipod needs updating. The problem seems to be that when i load the updater to update my ipod it freezes then falls over. I have reinstalled more than 4 times so its not that, what if anything can i do?

    See if you can restore your iPod while it is in disk mode.

    Be advised that restoring the iPod will erase anything that is on it, but as long as you have it on your computer/in iTunes, you'll be able to put everything right back on it.

  • Can't get response from PayPal

    I have been trying to make a purchase through nuts.com since Saturday.  When the popup for PayPal comes up it won't let met past the choice of credit card - keeps coming back to the same page.  I have called PayPal FOUR times and gotten no satisfaction.  To begin with, I cannot understand the people who answer - they have accents and speak too fast - I am unable to really understand all they say - I keep asking them to slow down and speak up, but they won't.  One of the reps tried to send my payment through but it would not go - she would not tell me what was wrong and told me to place my order with my credit card through the purchase site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  What an answer!!  I have a subscription that is supposed to happen on the 6th of the month - I don't know if it will go through because no one will tell me what is going on with my account.  There should not be any problem with anything - I have not been notified that there is a problem.  HELP, help, please.......can someone help me - I cannot get anyone's help at PayPal!!!!!!!!!!!

    The HTTP service starts, at lesat that is what Control Panel->Services indicate. I can stop the service and start it using Oracle HTTP Server->Start HTTP Server Powered by Apache. Because all indicates are that the HTTP server starts I am quite perplexed. I installed Oracle 9.0.2 using the standard install option. I did not install Custom. The install finished successfully.

  • Can't get response from home button

    Hello, My home button does not respond. I have reset numerous times to no avail. Is this a hardware problem?

    It could be. My first iPhone 4 had this problem. I tried resetting, restoring etc but it turned out that it was a hardware fault.
    Does the button feel a little soft? What I mean is, has it lost the typical 'click' feeling when you press it? That was what lead me to call Apple support for a new phone...
    Apple replaced it for me no worries though.

    If the file was not originally from iTunes, you'll need to redownload it from it's original source or rerip it from the CD.  Files can sometimes go bad and become corrupted.  As to how or why that happens, there are a number of ways.
    What format are the problematic tracks in? Have you tried converting them to another format in iTunes?

    I got my artwork and saved it to my Desktop
    Opened up Microsoft Paint and clicked on "File" and "Open" and found it to get it on the screen to resize it
    Clicked "resize" and a box for changing it opened up
    Checked the box "Pixels" and "Unchecked maintain aspect ratio"
    Set Horizontal for 640 and Vertical for 480
    Clicked on "OK" and went back to "File" and did a "Save As" and chose JPEG Picture
    It came up "File Already Existed" and clicked "OK" (really did not care about the original artwork I found because wrong size)
    Went to iTunes and on the movie right clicked on "Get Info", clicked on "Details", then "Artwork"
    Go to the little box on the top left that shows your old artwork and click on it to get the little blue border to appear around it and hit "Delete" to make it gone
    Click on "Add Artwork" and find it where you put the one from above on your Desktop and hit "Open" and OK and your new artwork is now there and all good.
    Sounds like a lot of steps to follow but after around 5 or so you will fly through it. This worked perfect on my iPhone 6 Plus and I have artwork on my Home Videos now.
