I need some material on AD-HOC Forms( I got a topic for my seminar like this), but still i am unable to find out some information about ad-hoc forms. But i found some material on ad-hoc query.
So somebody please explain me the difference between this ad-hoc query and ad-hoc forms and also please send me some material on ad-hoc forms..

The Ad-hoc Reporting reporting type is primarily used as a quick and simple way of creating specific reports that, as a rule, are not needed more than once.
Ad-hoc Reporting is available in both the global and standard query areas.
You can also save queries for Ad-hoc Reporting. In the global query area, these queries are always saved in a temporary development class. There is no communication with the Workbench Organizer.
In the standard query area, queries can only be transported with the tools designed for it.

Need some quick help - fairly urgent!

I've just taken over a new job and have been the task of finishing the new brochure for Christmas, there's not a lot to do but a lot of the measurements need changing
This is the layout I'm dealing with..
All the boxes have been made in Illustrator
The text has been done in In'Design and it seems every piece of text is it's own box if that makes sense
My question is, if I select the whole specification box - copy, paste it into Adobe Illustrator and change the text there, then paste the edited box back into In-Design, will I lose quality when it gets printed?
I'm worried if I do it this way it may come out blurred? Or am I just worrying about nothing?

I couldn't find an Illy file in the end and have ended up creating tables in ID to replicate what was already there!
Didn't take very long and I guess if I didn't do it now, I'd come across the same situation next time!

There certainly are viable "quick fix" solutions proposed here, and if the dealine is looming and this file never needs to be touched again I might be tempted, but they are only postponing the pain for a file that needs periodic updates, and I wouldn't waste effort on them, myself, when that time can be put toward a proper rebuild now if that's the ultimate goal.

Need some help in creating Search Help for standard screen/field

I need some help in adding a search-help to a standard screen-field.
Transaction Code - PP01,
Plan Version - Current Plan (PLVAR = '01'),
Object Type - Position ( OTYPE = 'S'),
Click on Infotype Name - Object ( Infotype 1000) and Create.
I need to add search help to fields Object Abbr (P1000-SHORT) / Object Name (P1000-STEXT).
I want to create one custom table with fields, Position Abb, Position Name, Job. Position Abb should be Primary Key. And when object type is Position (S), I should be able to press F4 for Object Abb/Object Name fields and should return Position Abbr and Position Name.
I specify again, I have to add a new search help to standard screen/field and not to enhance it.
This is HR specific transaction. If someone has done similar thing with some other transation, please let me know.
There is no existing search help for these fields. If sm1 ever tried or has an idea how to add new search help to a standard screen/field.
It's urgent.

A search help exit is a function module for making the input help process described by the search help more flexible than possible with the standard version.
This function module must have the same interface as function module F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE. The search help exit may also have further optional parameters (in particular any EXPORTING parameters).
A search help exit is called at certain timepoints in the input help process.
Note: The source text and long documentation of the above-specified function module (including the long documentation about the parameters) contain information about using search help exits.
Function modules are provided in the function library for operations that are frequently executed in search help exits. The names of these function modules begin with the prefix F4UT_. These function modules can either be used directly as search help exits or used within other search help exits. You can find precise instructions for use in the long documentation for the corresponding function module.
During the input help process, a number of timepoints are defined that each define the beginning of an important operation of the input help process.
If the input help process is defined with a search help having a search help exit, this search help exit is called at each of these timepoints. If required, the search help exit can also influence the process and even determine that the process should be continued at a different timepoint.

The following timepoints are defined:
1. SELONE
Call before selecting an elementary search help. The possible elementary search helps are already in SHLP_TAB. This timepoint can be used in a search help exit of a collective search help to restrict the selection possibilities for the elementary search helps.
Entries that are deleted from SHLP_TAB in this step are not offered in the elementary search help selection. If there is only one entry remaining in SHLP_TAB, the dialog box for selecting elementary search helps is skipped. You may not change the next timepoint.
The timepoint is not accessed again if another elementary search help is to be selected during the dialog.
2. PRESEL1
After selecting an elementary search help. Table INTERFACE has not yet been copied to table SELOPT at this timepoint in the definition of the search help (type SHLP_DESCR_T). This means that you can still influence the attachment of the search help to the screen here. (Table INTERFACE contains the information about how the search help parameters are related to the screen fields).
3. PRESEL
Before sending the dialog box for restricting values. This timepoint is suitable for predefining the value restriction or for completely suppressing or copying the dialog.
4. SELECT
Before selecting the values. If you do not want the default selection, you should copy this timepoint with a search help exit. DISP should be set as the next timepoint.
5. DISP
Before displaying the hit list. This timepoint is suitable for restricting the values to be displayed, e.g. depending on authorizations.
6. RETURN (usually as return value for the next timepoint)
The RETURN timepoint should be returned as the next step if a single hit was selected in a search help exit.
It can make sense to change the F4 flow at this timepoint if control of the process sequence of the Transaction should depend on the selected value (typical example: setting SET/GET parameters). However, you should note that the process will then depend on whether a value was entered manually or with an input help.
7. RETTOP
You only go to this timepoint if the input help is controlled by a collective search help. It directly follows the timepoint RETURN. The search help exit of the collective search help, however, is called at timepoint RETTOP.
8. EXIT (only for return as next timepoint)
The EXIT timepoint should be returned as the next step if the user had the opportunity to terminate the dialog within the search help exit.
9. CREATE
The CREATE timepoint is only accessed if the user selects the function "Create new values". This function is only available if field CUSTTAB of the control string CALLCONTROL was given a value not equal to SPACE earlier on.
The name of the (customizing) table to be maintained is normally entered there. The next step returned after CREATE should be SELECT so that the newly entered value can be selected and then displayed.
10. APP1, APP2, APP3
If further pushbuttons are introduced in the hit list with function module F4UT_LIST_EXIT, these timepoints are introduced. They are accessed when the user presses the corresponding pushbutton.
Note: If the F4 help is controlled by a collective search help, the search help exit of the collective search help is called at timepoints SELONE and RETTOP. (RETTOP only if the user selects a value.) At all other timepoints the search help exit of the selected elementary search help is called.
If the F4 help is controlled by an elementary search help, timepoint RETTOP is not executed. The search help exit of the elementary search help is called at timepoint SELONE (at the
F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE
This module has been created as an example for the interface and design of Search help exits in Search help.
All the interface parameters defined here are mandatory for a function module to be used as a search help exit, because the calling program does not know which parameters are actually used internally.
A search help exit is called repeatedly in connection with several
events during the F4 process. The relevant step of the process is passed on in the CALLCONTROL step. If the module is intended to perform only a few modifications before the step, CALLCONTROL-STEP should remain unchanged.
However, if the step is performed completely by the module, the following step must be returned in CALLCONTROL-STEP.
The module must react with an immediate EXIT to all steps that it does not know or does not want to handle.

IPhone 5 reboot loop. Need some help

My iPhone5 suddenly reboots and it repeats that every 5-10 mins. The problem gets worse when connected to the computer. Sometimes, when battery is low, it goes off and doesnt turn on, but when connected to the computer, it shows the white apple screen and then goes off and does this repeatedly.
On reading some blogs online, i tried to restore the software but it didnt help. I even tried restoring it through a downloaded IPSW, even that didnt help.
Can someone please tell me what could be the solution? As my phone is out of warranty, service centre execs tell me to go for a replacement by paying an amount which is significant, dont want to spend so much. Need some urgent help.

Restore as a NEW device (not from a backup). If the problem continues, that means you have a hardware problem and have no choice but to replace the device. If the problem is solved, that means there is some corruption in your backup file or maybe one of your apps is causing it. Try adding your apps back one at a time until the problem returns.

Need some help on Depreciation on SAP

Our company has just installed the Fixed Asset piece in SAP and I am very new at it.
I ran the May depreciation in June which at that point SAP May is still open. After I ran the depreciation and all the entries posted. We closed May. and We are looking at depreciation on May and find out what pull up from SAP is different $$ for what I have printed back then. Do some research and found out 1 piece of fixed asset, the AP lady put in wrong vendor, without let us know, she reverse the invoice document on the wrong vendor and re do the invoice document under the correct vendor in June. and I do not understand is May is closed and the reverse document reversed in May and the new document is created in June, so that fixed asset is showing $0 when I pull up the report now but on the report that I do a depreciation run has an amount in it?
Can anyone tell me what I should do if next time same situation happen so the depreciation is not mess up?
Also since I am new at this, can anyone suggest where I can find more reading materials for this will help, I also need some reading material for AUC too. I have the BPP that the SAP consultant left me, but they only tell me how to do the procedure and it is not detail, if you follow the step and it come out like the instruction is said everything is fine, but if it does not, it did not show you how to trouble shoot and help to fix problem.
Help, I need lots of help.

When the invoice was reversed, it would also show a reversed posting for depreciation. So you may need to open May again and do a repeat run of depreciation and this should reverse the depreciation of this particular posting.

It seems like Adobe Reader is crashing on your device. Could you please follow these steps so that we may ascertain the reason for the same?
1) From Google market place, please download an application that displays the device logs. Some of the free apps available :
- CatLog (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nolanlawson.logcat )
- aLogcat ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jtb.alogcat )
2) Repeat the steps which led to the crash.
3) Share the logs that have been obtained by the above apps with us at [email protected]

Needed some help transferring files from Mac to external hard drive

Hey guys, I just needed some urgent help.
My friend wanted some files to be transferred to his external hard drive from my Mac. As he is a Windows user, I guess his hard drive is formatted for Windows as well. As I plug in the hard disk in my Mac, I can't transfer the files. It says something like "the disk cannot be modified".
So, please help me on how can I transfer this files from my Mac and if I do format it to work with the Mac, will it work for Windows later?

The Windows drive is probably formatted NTFS which is not natively writable
by the Mac. It should be formatted as FAT32 to be usable on both.

Srw.run_report problem. Help needed...Urgent

I am very new to Oracle Reports. I need some help in using the srw.run_report
I am having two reports. Rep_A and Rep_B
I will always invoke the Rep_A first...Rep_B should always be invoked in Rep_A
In Rep_A, i need to check a parameter P_Param1 and based upon the value i need to proceed as follows
If P_Param1 = 1 then
--Rep_A should be generated and returned as stream(cache)
--Rep_B shouldnt be invoked
If P_Param1 = 2 then
--Rep_B should be generated and returned as stream.
--Rep_A should not be generated
If P_Param1 = 3 then
--Rep_A and Rep_B should be generated and returned as stream
--(Rep_A followed by Rep_B)
If P_Param1 = 4 then
--Rep_A and Rep_B should be generated and saved as files in a specified location.(this location is in another machine)
This is my requirement. I hope I am clear with my requirement.
How can we achieve these.
Are there any technical issues?

Not a genius i need some help

my husand received a ibook from a customer as a form of payment for some work he did. It works but need some help trying to figure out some things any help will be appreciated. We received it with a admin password so i rebooted it with my new mac os x 10.5.4 to set our own admin password. I can connect to internet with my cable modem no problem however it will not let me open yahoo! it says not a supported browser so i click safari 5 to download and it then tells me that bill of materials is missing any ideas? when i load my mac os x disk it will not load just spins in tray all cds work so dont know why it won't run. It occassionally tells me that classic doesnot have mac os 9 supported?Also any updates i need from this info would also help me out. thank you.

Try repairing permissions.Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
And since you don't the original install disc, boot in Safe Mode to make sure the startup disk is ok.

It occassionally tells me that classic doesnot have mac os 9 supported?
The original owner probably had the Classic environment installed (Mac OS 9).

Number range error for some materials when converting into Production order

Hi,
Please I need some help with my error.
When trying to convert planned orders into production orders, I receive an error message saying Internal assignment not defined for number range XX.
The strange part is that is only happening for two materials! Material type is the same one we always use.
The planned orders have also the same type.
Any idea?

I think for these 2 materials system is selecting the order type for which external number range is marked and ingternal number range is switched off.
Can you go to CO01 and create a production order for these materials directly w/o assigning order type on intial screen. check which order type is detrmined by system and check its number range in co86.

I installed OS X Mavericks and now my Epson Scanner Perfection Series V330 Photo refuses to open. Is there a new driver available? I am scanning my work for a book publication and I need my scanner urgently. I tried Image capture but scanner is not detected.

Looks like all Epson scanners will fail under Mvrx. And who knows when an updated driver will be available. It's not as if they have had a while to do it already.
After I noticed mine wouldn't work, I deleted my Workforce 610 and re-added it by pressing the + and instead of going for the IP versions that may pop up, that they say to do under normal conditions, select the Bonjour version. When you select the new printer/scanner in the Printers & Scanners Control Panel, then open the control window and then look in the dock and see if your printer is there. Right click on it and go to "Keep in Dock" for easy Access. In the printer panel there should be a little picture of a scanner on the right side. Click on it or type Commmand-3 and the built-in scanner software/utility will come up. After playing with it I think it's better than and there are some cool features that are not in the stock Epson software.

Refer to book titled "A Practical Guide to SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse 7.0" by Anik Palekar, Bharat Patel, Shreekant Shiralkar.
It is a very good book. It explained the subject using one organisation as an example and with screen shots also.
