I need some suggestions on what type of dock to buy for my iPod Touch 4 that would be combatable with it.

I use to have a JBL dock for my iPod Touch 4 but it no longer works with it.  I seem to be having some problems finding a dock that would work with a iPod Touch 4.   All I want is a good dock with stereo sound and that is chargable and would also have an adaptor so I won't have to use batteries but one with batteries will do if that's all I can find.  I don't need one that has a radio and a clock with it.  One that probably doesn't go over 100.00.  Would like some suggestions from anyone please?   Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. I have finally found a definitive answer on the Microsoft website (after a few days of virtual digging).

And I quote for the benefit of everyone else looking for the same answers:
"While RDS is shipped with Windows Server software, it is licensed separately through a Client Access License (CAL) model. This means that each accessing end point (i.e., a User or a Device) must be covered by an RDS license to access Microsoft VDI infrastructure.
And this CAL is an additive CAL, which means that in addition to a Windows Server CAL, customers must acquire a Windows Server RDS CAL for each user or device that:
- Directly or indirectly accesses any of the RDS product functionality, and/or
- Directly or indirectly interacts with the graphical user interface of the server software using RDS functionality or other third-party technology
For example, to access RDS functionality in Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012 CALs and Windows Server 2012 RDS CALs are required along with the server software licenses."

  • What type of licence to buy for a strictly Remote Desktop environment only?

    Hi there,
I have a question about Server 2012 licensing for a specific operating environment. We have a single server in our company hosting our accounting and inventory software. Our software vendor allows us to use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to the server
and use the software without needing to install individual copies in each user's machine.
I also understand that Windows Server 2012 comes without pre-packaged CALs like how it used to be with Server 2003/2008 (where it came with a server licence and 5 CALs automatically).
What's the appropriate licence needed for a usage environment like this? I am pretty sure we have to purchase RDS licenses (previously Terminal Services License) for each machine, but must each license be accompanied with a regular Client Access License? Our
accounting software is unlike some other setups where the data is hosted on the server but all operating power is focussed on the client PC. In our scenario, all work is done exclusively on the server.

  • Do I need an adapter or a volt converter 220 to 110v for my ipod touch 2nd gen.

I have and ipod touch 20nd gen and an ipod shuffle 4th gen. I live in Colombia where we have 110 v and I am traveling to Argentina where they have 220 v.  I've been reading that i may not need a power or voltage converter but just an adapter, because the charger might already be dual (for 110 and 220) or is it the ipod itself.  Is this standard for all apple chargers because i have some really old ones (5 years) and a new one.I also have a Belkin power charger for them.

No. The power brick for the iPod senses the voltage and adjusts for the different ones.
You will need an adapter to switch form flat us pins tot the round pins used on their plugs.

  • What eq settings should i use for my ipod touch if i am using a car cassette cd adapter

i have found a cheaper way to listen to my ipod touch in my new 1999 cadillac catera is to use a casette adapter that you would use if you wanted to use a portable cd player in a car (although mine already has a cd player in it)
however my problem is that the audio for coming out of the speakers sounds a but tinny, and rough, i tried to use the eq settings (treble booster) and sound check to alevate the problem, and while it is marginally bettter now, the audio still sounds very rough and tinny
my question to all you apple experts is that if someone wanted to use a car cd casette adapter with their ipod touch, what audio settings does he/she need to use in order to make it sound right (meaning just like if you were using speakers at home or your headphones)

The appropriate MPEG2-DVD preset should suffice.

  • What Home Router Supports VPN Endpoints for the iPod Touch?

    Hello,
I'm trying to figure out what VPN Endpoints I can use for remote access to my home network. I'd prefer a hardware VPN router like a Linksys BEFSX41, or a D-Link DIR-330. I'd prefer something like the DLink since it supports local area wireless as well.
I want to know if anyone has used any of this equipment, and how well it worked. There seems to be surprisingly little info on getting VPN to the home, let alone the iPod.
Can anyone recommend a router which will perform as a VPN end point for me?
    UHF.

You might be facing the problem, because the Ipod and your Desktop computer must be having the same IP address thats the reason whenever your IPod is connected to your Network, your Desktop must be getting disconnected. Check the IP address of your IPOD and of your Desktop Computer.
First thing which you need to check, if the Physical connections are done properly. Connect the Modem to the Internet Port of the Linksys Router and then Connect the computer to the LAN Port No.1. On your Desktop computer login to the setup page of your Router and click on the Status tab and check "Internet IP address"
If required you can Re-Set your Router and Re-configure all the settings on your Router from the scratch.

  • What kind of case should I buy for new ipod touch?

There seem to be so many different kinds.  I see that they have hard plastic ones and soft, silicone type ones.  Which is more durable and will protect the ipod better if dropped?  Also, what is a screen protector?  Do I need to buy a pack of these in addition to the case or do cases already have screen protectors?  If they are separate, do they make any cases that protect the screen on their own?

The best case is no case at all.
Just like camera cases from years ago, the case just gets in the way when you want to use it.  We called them never-ready cases.
Screen protectors will deflect some scratches, but I have yet to find one that does not degrade the image quality.

    Bonjour,
Voilà, comme l'explique le titre de ce message, je voudrais savoir quelle sorte de coque convient à un iPod Touch 4G. Est-ce la même qu'un iPhone 3G/3GS ou bien est-ce une coque spéciale ?

What kind of hull does it take for a 4G iPod Touch?
    Hello,
Here, as explained in the title of this post, I wonder what kind of hull is suitable for 4G iPod Touch. Is this the same as an iPhone 3G/3GS or is it a special shell?
Thank you in advance for your answers,
    Sadiquentin
    Answer:
The dimension of the 4G iPod Touch is different than earlier iPid Touches and all the iPhones.  You need a case (hull) that is specifically designed for the 4G iPod.  THe dimensions of the iPod Touch that was anounced earlier this week is the same as the 4G iPod.

  • Need some advice on what kind of printer to purchase???

    Hello!
I'm a graphic designer in a small town and I'm wanted to break away from working under someone and start my own small business. I want to be able to print my own work and I'm looking for some suggestions on what kind of printer to purchase (something comparable to the xerox 7750?? or if there is something better???) I was looking at Xerox and not sure if that is the way to go. Most of my work will be small: business cards, wedding invites, graduation announcements, etc. I work at a print shop now and we do a TON of that type of work off our Xerox 7750.
I'd appreciate any advice you have on purchasing the right printer and getting my small business started!
    Thanks

I also have a Oki C9800hdn postscript and am a solo operator. The Oki also does banners 325x900mm (up to 1200mm long too)on paper and a special weatherproof paper. Standard sizes are up to oversize A3. Remember to order the POSTSCRIPT version of whatever printer you get.
Consumables are the thing to look at which makes it hard to price cost of prints.
I used to have a FujiXerox where I paid monthly on a rental agreement - but it was over 5 years which was too long for me. In real terms it worked out about $850 per month including the cost per 'clicks' which I didn't like either. The black toner and maintenance was included for the Xerox, but I still had to pay for the colour toners which were the same price as the Oki colour toners. (Colour approx AUD$480 each and mono approx $170AUD each). Plus the drums for each colour have to be replaced at 30,000 prints. However the Oki colour toners last longer and do more prints. Don't believe the 'number of prints with 5% coverage'. My average coverage is 80% with full colour or mono. Weight of card is up to 250gsm (more than the Xerox did). You can set up profiles so that what you print is very close to any commercial prints you get done for larger runs.

  • Hello friends recently shifted from windows to mac need some suggestion on which software to go ahead with for editing, excel, power point presentation

Hello friends recently shifted from windows to mac need some suggestion on which software to go ahead with for creating word editing, excel, power point presentation.

Only Microsoft's Office for Mac 2011 14.4.8 will work on your Windows Office files in their native document format. Anything else, and particularly Apple's Pages, Numbers, and Keynote will perform translation on open, and export. This can, and will, introduce differences to your original documents, especially when sharing with others in the Windows Office 2010/2013 applications.
    Here is my short list.
    Office for Mac 2011 v14.4.8
    LibreOffice (latest)
The current iterations of Apple's Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are not what I would term business/professional grade applications. Apple updates them infrequently, ignores user friendly features, omits others, and has introduced default backwards incompatibility between Yosemite and prior OS X releases of these applications. Read the reviews in the OS X App Store. Even for free with a recent Mac purchase, these products will transform your mood.
The free LibreOffice is aggressively developed and designed as an MS Office replacement suite. There are occasions where it can open documents that Office for Mac, and Apple's products ignore. Extensive PDF manuals for the individual applications. Unlike Word, you can have two-up page viewing with a button click, or edit multi-page PDF. There is a forms designer. It can open nearly any document including MS Publisher and Visio documents from the Windows space. I use it.
MS Office 2015 Preview for Yosemite is available, but as its title would suggest, it is not done yet, and some features are missing. I created a single-page Word document with a DRAFT watermark. Only LibreOffice v4.4.1 was able to open this document and preserve the watermark.

If the file was not originally from iTunes, you'll need to redownload it from it's original source or rerip it from the CD.  Files can sometimes go bad and become corrupted.  As to how or why that happens, there are a number of ways.
What format are the problematic tracks in? Have you tried converting them to another format in iTunes?
