Is getting repeatedly deleted .I am trying to prevent a user from inserting a wooden toothpick inside a macbook pro's headphone socket .
And no matter what form I put my post in it seems to be deleted ..Currently it looks like this :
Do NOT put a wooden object inside your headphone socket !! Since it can easily snap off and get stuck there
Instead use a headphone jack or the cable you've previously used and hopefully that should trigger the circuit board

I don't think the hosts would delete a post for no reason. What you have there now seems fine. I never saw the other four. You seem to have a "spirited" defense, so it seems likely that you may have gone over that really fuzzy edge. Plus, if you get a post deleted, the moderators are likely to scan your posts to see if there is anything else that needs to be cleaned up.
In general, if you get a post deleted from a thread, the best tactic is to just leave it be and move on. There will be plenty of other threads. The moderators are fair, but human.
You seem to have attracted some unwanted attention. Don't back down, but don't give anyone ammunition either. Do your best and move on. In some of the big forums, there will be 50 or more new posts each day. Apple Discussions is a community and there are all kinds of people in a community, some nicer than others.

HELP IM A RETARD SQUAD! Need the help of others with the basics.

OMG I just bought my first laptop (previously Mac user). I assumed when the ad said WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM that this laptop would come with Microsoft Word, Power POint and Excel. I was able to use a trial version of word and thats all. Am I just not getting it? What is WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM??? Is this the brain per say of the system like MAC is running on OS now? or does it mean it comes with THE MICROSOFT OFFICE SOFTWARE. IS IT THE NORM FOR COMPUTERS TO COME INSTALLED WITH THAT OFFICE SOFTWARE OR NOT? I am confused!

Vista is the OS only. (The Mac equivalent is Mac OS X.) It is not normal for PCs to come with Microsoft Office preinstalled unless you specifically paid for that option (which is NOT part of Vista).

Im on a mac, I launch adobe download assistant click photoshop. It downloads, then goes through all the agreeing things. Then it starts the installation and when it finishes it finds errors! Please help! im on 10.6.8. Really really want it.

Class file"Early sun compilers allowed methods to be longer than 64k bytes.
Which was wrong. Logically the code could not work correctly in the JVM.
Newer compilers will not do it, nor will newer JVMs run it.

This problem usually occurs with code generators. Although you could have done it manually.
In either case the solution (as pointed out by the other poster) is to make the method smaller.

I figured it out.
If you're trying to buy music or whatever with iTunes, go into the Settings and click on itunes and app store. Change your id to match your new one.
If you can't update an app because it wants your old id and password, delete the app, then reinstall it with your current Apple id. I just did it with two apps.
Simple solution! hopefully you won't lose info but it's certainly wortha little inconvenience to fix the problem once and for all.

Purchased a non-working iphone 4 and am in need of help

Okay, so I purchased a non-working iphone 4 off of ebay, because sadly that was the only way I could afford one. Anyway, I began breaking it down piece by piece last night so that I might be able to narrow down what was wrong with it. And that is where I need the help of the apple community. I have cleaned all the contact metal on the inner part of the iphone, cleaned the logic board, the charging port. The person I bought it from said that it would randomly restart while charging, and once you unplugged it from charging, it would shut off. So far, I have not even been able to get it to charge at all, and therefore, no random restarting either. I was able to get it to come back on after I had cleaned everything off and put it back together, even tried to restore it through itunes, but it got stuck on the apple logo, and brought up two different errors on two different occasions, 1603 and 21. I am relieved that there is nothing wrong with the lcd screen or the digitizer, as I know those are expensive. I already have a new battery ordered for it that should be here tomorrow along with a charging port as well because the previous owner said it could probably use a battery, and I just went ahead and ordered the charging port just in case there might be something wrong with it as well. My question is, is it possible that the logic board could be bad in my iphone, and could that be also causing my iphone not to charge, or restore to ios 6.1.3? All help is appreciated. Thanks.

The iPhone is not user serviceable. Apple does not sell iPhone parts. Apple won't touch it now that its been opened. Try checking ifixit.com for help. There's not much we can tell you.

Roland Edirol, NEED TRACKING HELP!!!!! Weird Problem!

I need the help of one of you experts...
New to Logic but have used GarageBand for years. I am using a Roland Edirol UA-25EX interface. I am attempting to track a bass part in a project but have encountered a weird problem.
When I play the bass with the rest of the project (MIDI Drums and Piano) the input signal is at a constant state of peaking no matter how hard I play. I assumed that I was just sending to much signal into the computer from the interface so I soloed my bass track and all of a sudden it sounded fine (levels were good - no peaking). Then I un-soloed the track again and the crazy peaking was back.
After playing around with Logic and the Edirol for a few hours I couldn't trouble shoot the problem. I decided to hit record and see if Logic was recording the peaked out sound I heard (UNSOLOED) or the normal non-peaked bass tone I heard when it was soloed out. Sure enough when I listened back to the recording everything sounded fine!!
Thats good I guess... but I cannot track the bass part with the peaked out sound and when I turn it down to try and get rid of the clipping, I can't hear the bass enough.
Can someone help me with this please?!?!? Point me in a direction at least to try anything.....

I have an Edirol UA-25 that has drivers that stop working anytime there is an upgrade or sleep. You should write to Roland and complain, they were friendly and sent a zip of 10 copies of the driver and it's un-installer, so if,like today i let my iMac fall sleep the driver no longer works and I must unplug the USB Edirol,un-install the broken driver and install a new one before the Edirol will work again-I am on 10.5.8, hopefully the Snow Leopard drivers will be better. your "ex" model differs only in it's having a ground loop isolator, which I had to buy separately and it works fine but still not fair of Roland to sell such crap.

Hi, our broadband at home is stupidly slow. Especially the wireless. It feels like im running dial up from ten years ago.
The problem has been ongoing for a long time, but i've only just returned home from uni, hence why it has taken me so long to ask for help.
After reading on the forums about the shoddy service the india call centre gives, i decided it would be best to try the forums first.
The internet is consistently slow, and it also seems to reach speeds of 0 kb/s at times, sometimes disconnecting me, other times not.

Your line stats look great, your sync speed is good, and your IP profile is correct.
Your download speed is poor.
This could be :
1) Hot Virtual Path at the exchange - basically your exchange has run out of bandwidth. Do you get similar poor download speeds at all times of day and night? If you get much faster speeds in the early morning or during the daytime, then you need the help of the forum moderators.
2) Your WiFi connection is not working properly. Do you get similar poor download speeds when connected to the HomeHub via an ethernet cable? It is worth trying if you haven't done so.
3) Are you totally sure you don't have any other devices connected to your WiFi connection dragging down your bandwidth? Go the the "Home Network" tab in the HomeHub admin screens and see what is connected
4) Are you signed up with BT FON? I wonder if other people are connecting to your hub and sucking up your bandwidth? (this can cost 0.5 Mbps) Are you living in / near a very public area?

Need help on Self Hosting Using channel Factory

     I am trying to self host WCF service using cutom Channel Factory class. but I am getting exception.
The scenario is something like below this : -
I want to create the endpoint connection to WCF service. I want to achieve this using custom channel factory(not using default channel factory API provided in .Net Framework).
I have written one class and it is derived from channel factory and we are reading the service endpoints, behaviors, bindings from external configuration file added in the project.
I am able to connect to server side service hosted on different machine using following sample code successfully.
In the case of “self-hosting”  I am receiving following error : --
     "There was an error reading from the pipe: The pipe has been ended. (109, 0x6d)."

There was an error reading from the pipe: Unrecognized error 109 (0x6d).
One reason was inconsistent binding between client and server <netNamedPipeBinding> <security mode="None"></security>... (no
communication)
The other intermittent issue was time-out related.

Help needed with certificates for RDS Host servers

Hi,
We currently have 4 RD Session-Host servers in our network. All four servers are member of a TS farm. We also have a TS Gatway server.
I managed to give the TSGW server a certificate but I need your support on this on the RDS servers.
What happens?
When a user connects to the farm, a warning pops up telling me that the certificate is not issued by a trusted CA. This is because all RDS servers are using self signed certificates. Because the servers are farm members a user can be presented with this
warning several times when the session is being redirected.
How do I get rid of these warnings as well in our LAN as on the internet? What certificate type do I need?

What is your Server OS for your environment?
Yeah, your all certificate related all warnings can disappear by purchasing the certificate from public CA. To access the farm outside the environment you can buy wildcard certificate. And yes, your all related queries be solved from the article provide in
my previous comment.
The easiest way to get a certificate, if you control the client machines that will be connecting, is to use Active Directory Certificate Services. You can request and deploy your own certificates and they will be trusted by every machine in the domain.
If you're going to allow users to connect externally and they will not be part of your domain, you would need to deploy certificates from a public CA. Examples including, but not limited to: GoDaddy, Verisign, Entrust, Thawte, DigiCert
In Windows 2008/2008 R2, you connect to the farm name, which as per DNS round robin, gets first directed to the redirector, next to the connection broker and finally to the server that will host your session.
In Windows 2012, you connect to the Connection Broker and it routes you to the collection by using the collection name.
The certificates you deploy need to have a subject name or subject alternate name that matches the name of the server that the user is connecting to. So for example, for Publishing, the certificate needs to contain the names of all of the RDSH servers
in the collection. The certificate for RDWeb needs to contain the FQDN of the URL, based on the name the users connect to. If you have users connecting externally, this needs to be an external name (needs to match what they connect to). If
you have users connecting internally to RDweb, the name needs to match the internal name. For Single Sign On, again the subject name needs to match the servers in the collection. (Quoted from previous article).
