  • Lens profile for Nikon 18-105 1:3.5-5.6 urgently needed

Does anyone have lens profile for Nikon 18-105 1:3.5-5.6. Currently I don't have that lens, so I'm unable to create a profile on my own. Any help will be appreciated.

Nope, the settings has config info.  The downloaded profiles for ACR6.1 are located at the first path, and are the same as for CS5 lens correction.  I followed this process for both my 16-85VR and 55-200VR profiles, later deleted them, and then re-downloaded in an attempt to figure out the vignetting problem.  I did not see a 18-105 profile listed.

There currently isn't a profile available for download via the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader. You can create your own profile by downloading the Adobe Lens Profile Create from Adobe Labs.

  • Lens profiles for Nikon lenses

    Hello,
Does anyone know a site where users have posted lens profiles that they have made for the Nikon lenses which are NOT included in the Photoshop CS 5 software?
I have a Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 lens that needs correction when shooting at or near 17mm - and I hate to have to make my own profile if someone has already done it.  I have used the profile supplied by Adobe for my Nikon 10.5mm fisheye lens - and it is spectacular!
Is there a master site where users have posted lens profiles for Nikon lenses?

Not yet, Dick. But please stay tuned ... there's something cookin' ...

The profile for that lens is available for both Canon and Nikon. I didn't look at other brands. But the profile is for raw files only. Is the file you are using a raw file?

There is a repository, it's accessible through CS5's lens correction plugin, and there doesn't appear to be one for this lens at that spot at the moment.

  • Using Lens profiles for Nikon D800 in Lightroom 3.6

When I use Lightroom 3.6 with pictures from Nikon D800, the lens profile for the Mikro Nikor 60 mm lens is not in the list of coice. However, when the picture is from a Nikon D5000, the same lens appears in the list. So, a lens profile exists, but is not open for pictures from the D800. How can I solve this problem? The same is true for the 18-200 mm lens, which however is not suited for the D800 due to heavy vignetting at wide angle, and with the 70-300 mm, which gives good results.

The D5000 is a crop sensor. The D800 is a Full-Frame sensor.  The Profile for D5000 cannot be "scaled" for a full-frame sensor: thus, it cannot be used.
Every lens has multipe profiles: 1 for Raw and 1 for Jpeg in each sensor size.  If one has not been created for your particular lens, camera a file format you have three options.
1: Download the Adobe Lens Profile tool from Adobe Labs and create on yourself. It isn't hard but it is time consuming.
2: Part of the Adobe Lens Profile tool is a Lens Profile Downloader where you can gain access to a community of people who have shared their lens profiles.
3: Wait for Adobe to include it in a dot release of Lightroom.
I checked and I did see the profile for your 60MM available via the downloader.

  • Lens Profile for Nikon Nikkor AF-S 18-35mm 1:3.5-4.5 G ED

    Hi,
I'am missing the Lens Profile for the above Lens from Nikon. The Lens is build since January 2013 and I hoped that the new Lightroom 5 includes a Profile für this lens.
Does anybody know when Adobe will update Lightroom with this Profile? Or does anybody has build his own Lens Profile?
    Best regards
    Winfried

According to the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader:

  • Camera Raw RC 8.6 does not automatically locate the lens profile for the new Canon 16-35mm f4 lens.  The profile is in RC 8.6

I have loaded Camera Raw RC 8.6.  It can not automatically locate the new Canon 16-35mm f4 lens, although the lens profile can be manually found.

    Hi
I forgot to answer one question.
When I have a file from the Canon 16-35mm f4 lens in Camera Raw and go to
Lens Correction and check the box Enable Lens Profile Corrections, when I
select  the model in the first box as Canon, it picks the wrong 16-35mm lens.
It  picks the f2.8.  I hope that you can get this fixed in Raw 8.6.  It is
a major headache for the user of this new lens.

  • Hello, Can you tell me where I can found the lens profil for the Canon 500MM F4 Mark II

Can some one tell me where I could find this lens profile for Lightroom 5.4.
    thanks

Given the 600mm F4 IS II (February 2011) lens profile hasn't been created yet it may be a while (if ever). I wouldn't worry about it since the lens profile only corrects distortion and vignetting. There is virtually no distortion with either of these lenses and vignetting is within 0.2EV using the 600mm profile, which you can set as the "default" profile. Personally I think people put too much emphasis on the need for "automatic" lens profile correction. All my lens profile defaults are set to Distortion = 0 and Vignetting = 50. I change the setting only when an image appears to need more correction. WHY?
    REASON
Distortion correction crops part of the image and increases "edge" stretching with wide angle lenses–It's a trade-off for straight lines in the image. IMHO-If it's not visible in the image you don't need it. 100% Vignetting correction setting can look un-natural and amplifies lens aberrations and softness in the corners, which is where vignetting correction is applied the most.
    My 2 cents worth.

  • Lens profile for Nikon 12-24mm

I have Lightroom 3.6, which supposedly has a lens profile for the Nikon 12-24mm, but it doesn't show up on the list of available lenses within Lightroom.
How would I find and import that lens profile?

It shows up in my version of LR 3.2 (click image below) so should definitely be available in 3.6. It's listed near the bottom of the first section. Is that the lens you mean?

  • Lens Profile for Nikon P7100

Looking for a lens profile for my Nikon D7100.  The default in LR 4 comes up with a P6000 and a different lens than my P7100.  Where can I find user developed profiles or those available from Adobe for download?

    Read here:

Add: I just checked and there is no profile available for the P7100. Unfortunately, nobody created one so far, so you'll have to do it yourself.

  • Lens Profile for Nikon 18-35 f/3.5-4.5

Will there be a lens profile available for the Nikon 18-35 f/3.5-4.5?  I am using LR5 & PS6.

  • LR lens profile for Nikon P7000?

I cannot find a profile in LR 3.3 for the Nikon P7000.  The P6000 comes up, but no P7000.  3.3 supports the NRW files from the P7000.  Can anyone give me a hand?
    Thanks very much . .
    Jack

Your computer has the same operating system as mine so there shouldn't be an issue with file paths being different for that reason.
You should only see the P7000 lens profile when you edit RAW/NRW files, not JPGs.  Please confirm that when editing an NRW from a P7000 you cannot locate a "NIKON COOLPIX P7000" profile in the list (at the bottom of about 50 Nikon profiles) when Nikon is selected as the "Make".  Also confirm you do see a screen-full of profiles, not just one or two.  Do this in LR 3.4 RC.
Please locate the P6000 lens-profile (.lcp) files that you can see in the list on your hard drive using Windows Explorer and the paths given, earlier.  If you can't find them, please be specific about what part of the path does not work or what part of the process doesn't work.  If you don't understand some part of these instructions for locating the lens-profile files, say what part.  Saying you cannot find them is not enough information.  By locating the Nikon lens profiles we can verify if the file are missing or if something else is wrong.  I would also like to see the dates of the profile files to understand how long ago they were installed.
You should be using the start-menu/start-button and opening Computer (or My Computer), then copy-pasting each path, in turn, to the address area and hitting Enter or perhaps click on the right-arrow at the right end of the address area.  If copy-pasting the full path in the address area doesn't work, try part of it and add the foldernames one-by-one until you can't get to part of it and say what part that is.
