I need to be able to use Thunderbird on the same PC for two different people.

We have a main desk computer that my Parter and I will be using at different times. Can I create two shortcuts on my screen that let's us access email and calendar tasks?
I would like us to have our own login for privacy with emails, but be able to share tasks and calendar events if possible.
So confused on how to do this, any help would be appreciated.

In short, yes.
However, I would always advocate having a separate User Account for each user. Modern Operating Systems offer common folders for work that needs to be shared. Do this so you each have your own Windows login, and you can set up a separate Thunderbird profile for each user, and you'll each have your own private workspace too.
If you really don't want to use the facilities offered by your Operating System for support of multiple users, and prefer to share a login, then it's more complicated. You can use Thunderbird's profile manager to create multiple independent profiles, that is, one each for you and your partner. Then if you open Thunderbird via its profile manager, you can select the appropriate profile.

That's rather clumsy, and I'd want to put in a little more effort and create a link or shortcut for each user that selected the appropriate profile automatically - so this is the "yes" to the question as you posed it.
Thunderbird doesn't share data between profiles easily. My choice for a shared calendar would be to set one up "in the cloud" and have both Thunderbird profiles subscribe to it. Google Calendar is quite straightforward to set up and use. Other calendars, perhaps provided by your ISP or mail provider may work equally well.

    Yes.  Technically there will not be any conflict as long as the private addresses used by the 2 clusters do not collide, and provided that the switch's port capacity and bandwidth will not be exceeded.
    Your NA (netadmin) can also configure the switch to separate the 2 Interconnects from one another (called partitioning when using Infiniband) - if the switch supports such features.
    A major consideration is not to make the switch, public. That typically cause a range of problems and can have a serious impact on an Interconnect. But using 2 private networks on the same infrastructure should not have the same problems - if configured and implemented correctly.

    should I use global variables?? I want to avoid because I have lot of variables and it would takes too much memory,I tried with this code but the value of the second indicator is not updated 
    I tried to use the queue and it works but the problem is as i said previously that i have many variables shoud I use a queue for each one??

    Can anyone suggest how to use the same dff in two different forms by using :BLOCK.field reference.
    Scenario is the same DFF is referenced by two forms, viz. Form-1 & Form-2.
    Form-1 Reference Field is :BLOCK.field name, but the same block is not available in Form-2, which throws an error while opening it.

    In the environment I currently have access to do not have similar setup.
    Let say you setup the DFF1 default value to $HEADER.customer_name, the name of the DFF is CUSTOMER_NAME, description can be anything.
    In DFF2, default value should be a SQL, where you can reference the DFF1. For example, SELECT DECODE($FLEX.CUSTOMER_NAME, 'ABC', 1, 'DEF', 2, NULL) FROM dual
    In this case, you can reference the DFF1.

    Ignore the Canon software. It gains you nothing and adds complexity. Just use iPhoto for the lot.

    I use my laptop both at home and at work. And in each venue I use a different user log on. But I wish to have firefox use the same profile for each user log on. How can I get firefox to point to the same profile for each user?

    Note that only one user (Firefox instance) can use a profile folder at the time, so if you would switch the Windows user to another account then you would first have to close Firefox.

    I think you can go for the  multimapping(1:2) and not exactly splitting the message but mapping it one source to two different targets that need to be sent to one receiver...

  • Duplication of Entry when we use the same view in two different components.

    Dear Experts,
    We have created a z table in Activity Screen (component: ORDERADM_H)
    and
    later on we have reused the same table on Lead screen (component:
    BT108H_LEA) as required by Business.
    To reuse the table- I did the following steps
    1. Used AET Web UI configuration tool ->Display Enhancemens
    2. Selected the z table I want to Reuse
    3. Under -> Reuse in Object tab, selected, Lead and checked the box
    and finally generated/activated the table.
    4. Went to Lead AET configuration screen, AET table appeared into
    available assignment block and moved to it displayed assignment block
    The problem is for Lead transaction, system is creating duplicate
    records
    when I have populated values on both Lead and as well as follow up
    Activity transactions.
    When I save both the Lead and follow up Activity and I log out and
    login
    back into Lead screen, I see two duplicate records as follows:-
    OPT1, Option 1
    OPT2, Option 2
    We have not written any custom code for this requirement and we believe
    there is a bug in SAP standard. Please refer to screenshots attached.
    How can i avoid duplication issue with the component workbench.

    Today I faced a simlar issue, and this SAP Note helped me fix it: 1966807 - Duplication of AET table records in change processing
    In my case, cardinality of AET table was 1:1, and I was getting duplicate PARENT_ID every time when trying to create a subsequent service request for my activity.

  • Missing files using the same library on two different macs and other minor problems

    I'm working on a long documentary and I'm new to FCPX (coming from Avid NC and Edius)...I have and external HD where I stored all the media I'm working with (about 1/2T - 1000 clips)...The library (about 100gb) is stored on the internal drive of my iMac and into the iCloud.
    Yesterday, I received my new MacBook and today I tried to work on it. I followed this steps: I downloaded from iCloud the same library I was working with, I put it on the same folder (movies) it was stored on my iMac and I connected my external HD with all the media...Results? All the clips where gone and the red missing file warning was all over the place.
    FIRST QUESTION: How can I work on both computer overcoming this missing files problem? I know I should have put the library on the same external drive but It was a move aiming to
    SUB QUESTION 1:
    I went back to my iMac and everything worked fine except for a warning about one of my events (the exclamation point) as you can see from this pic:
    I tried to relink the file...but no files to be linked popped up in the relink file window....HOW CAN I KNOW what's wrong in that event in order to fix it?
    SUB QUESTION 2:
    I checked the Library info and - as you can see in the pic below - there are 43mb of media in my internal HD...is this maybe the problem preventing me from working on different macs? I tried to consolidate everything to the external HD but still the 43mb thing persist in being on the internal HD. How can I find where exactly it is located? How can I move it to the external HD given that the consolidate option isn't working?

    1) Don't know why this is happening. It may have something to do with
    I downloaded from iCloud the same library I was working with
    I'm not clear what procedure you're using here. Using a cloud for storage might change some file tags. Generally users I think keep the library on the same drive as the media, keeping the library backups on the system. There is no real benefit in keeping the media in a separate location. Often users will keep the library in the same folder as the media. It makes backing up using tools like Carbon Copy Cloner very efficient.
    1a) This can be difficult to find as there sometimes is no obvious indicator. It might be a missing element in a compound clip, a missing or altered layer in a graphics file, a missing font, a missing effect. These will show up inside the item involved, but may not be apparent in the browser. A missing transition for instance will not be seen until you skim over the project or try to export it.
    2) The 43 MB is a small amount of optimized media. This never prevents relinking. The library is always looking for original media, or proxy media if you're in proxy playback. It never looks for optimized media. If it has it, it uses it, if it doesn't, it uses the original media. If you are using original/optimized playback, you must have the original files. The optimized files are not enough.
