I am trying to get iCloud set up but have an issue with my apple ID. Somehow I managed to get two separate IDs. My original ID, which has all my itunes etc on it is associated with my old email which used to forward to my current email, but no longer. Presumably, when I realized the emails were no longer being forwarded, I clearly messed up and made a NEW id with my new email account. In order to verify my apple ID for icloud, they want to send an email to the address that no longer exists! I don't want to synch everything to the new email account because there's nothing there. Is there a way to get everything onto my new email--either cancel it and start fresh or link the accounts? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Sorry, your question isn't very clear... What are you asking?
- what storage capacity does the phone have?. (8gb, 7 available to user)
- will the phone run if it has only 500kb free?. (doubtful)
- is it possible to stream netflix through your Pixi to your PS3? (doubtful again). You would have to be getting a strong 3g signal and then figure out how to get netflix to work.
If I were you, I'd search for this answer over at PreCentral.net. I got zero hits for "Netflix" in the Pixi board. Many users were using "FreeTether" instead of the VZW app.

Your apps were purchased under the old ID, so they will have to be deleted and re-purchased/downloaded under your new one.

If you were a migratee from MobileMe then you would have an @me.com and an @icloud.com address with the same text before the '@' - they are effectively the same address and you can't change either.
However you can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.

Yes, you can just log out of iCloud on the mini (Settings>iCloud> Sign out) and nothing will be affected as long as the iPad is not restored from any backup after that. Though if you're giving her the iPad I would highly recommend moving the pictures to your iPad (via this page) so that the mini can be reset and set up under your daughters ID to avoid Activation Lock in the future.

I had the same problem and found the answer at the following link: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 which basically says the following:
You can edit or delete your rescue email address at My Apple ID. To edit your rescue email address:
Navigate to My Apple ID using your web browser.
Click "Manage your account"
When prompted, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
Click Password & Security
You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions.

You are evidently both using the same iCloud account, so inevitably you share all the data. iCloud was never designed for mulpitple users. You can't separate [email protected] from [email protected] - they are effectively the same address.
If you want to keep your email separate from your wife's you are going to have to open a completely separate iCloud account; however you won't be able to move your @icloud.com address to it, so it's a choice between changing your email address and putting up with the existing sharing.
Changing your email address is a bit of a hassle as you have to email all your contacts and ask them to use the new one, but this happens quite a lot and most people are used to seeing this. You could also set up a Rule on your wife's iCloud account to forward anything addressed to [email protected] to your new address, so that you would still catch mail from people who hadn't updated and ask them to.
(To set up a Rule go to http://icloud.com and on the Mail page click the cogwheel icon at bottom left: choose 'Rules'.)

THe activation lock cannot be broken so the device is as good as dead to you. You'll never be able to make it your own.

Changing my alternate apple ID

I am sure many ppl have this same problem ...
My Apple ID is has somehow been set-up with an "alternate Apple ID" that I do not want. In my case, the [email protected] belongs to my girlfriend. This alternate ID is now causing big problems for me b/c I have upgraded to an iPhone, iPad and MacBookPro.
I would like to delete the 'alternate Apple ID' and keep my 'Apple ID' ... as I would like to take full advantage of synching all my devices and using photostream & iCloud properly (and privately).
How can I do this without losing all any of my iPhone settings or having to redo anything in iTunes?
Any help would be great ... this is really driving me nuts!

Thanks for your help. The reason this is an issue is that for some reaosn my [email protected] (actually, it's [email protected]) is not mine, it's my girlfriend's. She also has an iPhone and the iPad at home is set up for her Apple ID.
For some reason, our two accounts have this link.
I guess none of this would be a problem if we could just delete both accounts and start all over. But, my nderstanding is that this will have repurcussions for iTunes and our iPhones (apps, etc.). Neither of us have started using any of the [email protected] or [email protected] emails yet - we simply use out gmail and hotmail accounts.
What is the prurpose of the 'alternate apple id'?
