I need to connect my wireless printer (HP LaserJet CP1025nw color) to the internet.

I need to connect my wireless printer (HP LaserJet CP1025nw color) to the internet.    I recently have changed my name and password of my modem.  Since the change I have lost connectivity between my computer and my printer.  What do I need to do to regain connectivity?  I am using Windows 7.

I think you mean your password on your router right?  Changed your SSID and/or password?
Try here.

  • Set up wireless printing on LaserJet CP1025nw

All of a sudden, i can't print wirelessly. I'm running Yosemite 10.10.1 on MacBook Air (no ethernet connection). I've tried searching for an updated driver on HP but it just says to download it through Mac Software update. I've deleted the printer and readded the printer - to no avail. HELP!

    Hi @kgarlich ,
I see that you are experiencing issues printing over the wireless network. I would like to help you out today.
The drivers are installed by the Apple Updates for this printer. Installing Your HP Printer Driver and Software for Mac OS X.
Check the driver name that is installed for the printer. Make sure it shows just the printer's name.
Click the Apple menu and then click System Preferences. Click Printers & Scanners, highlight the printer name on the left side and on the right side of the screen it should show the printer's name. ( LaserJet CP1025nw)
If the full printer name isn't listed correctly, delete it and add the printer name back in from the list. Click the - sign to delete the driver and then click the + sign to add the driver, might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name to add it in.
If you are still having issues, please try the following steps:
Repair the Disk Permissions on the Mac:
    Close all applications.
On the Apple menu bar, click Go, click Applications and then click Utilities.
    Double-click Disk Utility.
Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left.
Click Verify and then Repair Disk Permissions.
    Restart the computer..
    Reset the Printing System:
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol.
Click the Apple icon and then click System Preferences.
    Click Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Ctrl +click) in the left white side panel, then click Reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type the correct Name and Password.
Click OK to reset the printing system.
Then click the + sign to add the driver, highlight the printer. (you might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name) Then click on the Add button.
If the issue continues, let me know the outcome after doing the following steps:
Print a configuration page to get the printer's IPv4 address.
On the printer control panel, touch the Wireless icon (), and then touch Print Info.
If you have a valid IP address for the printer then try and access the Embedded Web Server for the printer.
Type the IP address into your web browser's address bar. (Safari)
Did it load the web page?
Check the IP address on the computer.
From the Apple Menu, select System Preferences, Network, select your currently active network in the left-pane.
Your IP address will show in the middle corner of the window.
The first 3 sets of numbers have to match the printer's first 3 sets of numbers to be on the same network.
    Try and ping the printer.
On the Apple menu bar, click Go, then click Applications, then Network Utilities.
(you can go to the finder and type in Network Utilities)
Click on PING from the bar at the top of the window.
Enter the IPV4 Address of the printer and click Ping.
Did you get any replies back?
    Have a nice day!
    Thank You.

Hi I have an iPad with iOS 612 and am trying to connect a wireless printer, I don't think it's doing it because I don't have iOS 10 or more. Is this right?.

If you want to use AirPrint - the buit in feature in iOS that allows you to print directly from the iPad without another app - you need to be using an AirPrint Printer. There is a list of those printers here.
    AirPrint basics
If your printer is not on the list, you may still be able to use your current printer, but will need to purchase a printing app for the iPad from the App Store.
I don't understand you reference to iOS 10 unless you mean OS X10 for Mac.

There is no download; you need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD.

  • Can't connect to wireless printer

I cannot connect a wireless printer...I have tried 2 printers. HP photosmart 6510 and Epson SX535WD....the wireless strength appears to be good on the printer but the MAC can't see it and neither can the iPhone or the iPad....Sooooo frustrating. Have brought back printers to shop as thought they were faulty...They immediately signed in to their own wifi and printed no prob from iPhone....spoke to my broadband provider. They suggested might be interference from cordless phone, so switched that off....no success, then they said something about changing the WPA to WEP....this is becoming way too complicated for something that I thought was going to be plug in and go....Should I just give up and buy an old fashioned USB type....will I ever be able to print from the iPhone or iPad as well....HELP!!

My mother has been using an iPad. She wanted a printer. The media would think you just buy an AirPrint printer and you're good to go. I bought an HP PhotoSmart 6510. It connects to the wireless signal at my mother's home, but the iPad doesn't recognize that an AirPrint printer is available. Cisco (router) recommended disabling SSID, more or less. I disabled the "SSID broadcast" under guest access (I think I went further with the tech attempts than most other people) using the Cisco software (and rebooted the router, I think), but still no go. The iPad still doesn't recognize the presence of an AirPrint printer. Very frustrating. IF the iPad had a USB port we could go back to the era of cables and print that way, but that's obviously not a solution. Feel mislead. Under the current circumstances most people are going to be frustrated and mislead by the media hype that says, "You can print wirelessly from you iPad, especially if you get an AirPrint computer." Things are going to have to get much simpler for widespread acceptance of that notion. Most of us don't have hours to spend trying to sort out tech issues on our computers. Frustrating!

  • Can't connect to wireless print server

    Hi
Have just got a new MacBook, am in the process of moving over from Windows but I can't get my Kyocera FS-1010 printer working via its wireless print server (Kyocera SB-70).
The printer works fine via USB cable but says its busy when using ipp.
Have tried to ping the print server but it times out.
Everything works with the Windows PCs on the same Lan.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Baz

    Happy New Year Barry,
Thanks for the info. With the Mac you could use the same settings XP uses. The queue is to add the 'ipp' for the Queue name and don't worry about the 631 port - this will happen when you select IPP.
So far clarity, the settings you need after you select IP > IPP are:
    Address: 192.168.11.2
    Queue: ipp
Name & Location are free text so whatever you want
Print Using: The Kyocera driver - but you could also try Generic PCL Laser if the printer supports PCL. Some vendors drivers don't work that well with print servers, although I would expect that if Kyocera make the print server then their Mac driver should work, but you may want to check as possibly only the Windows driver works when networked.
However until you can get a response from the print server with the Ping then you won't get very far with the above. Seems unusual you can ping XP PCs and vice versa and they can print fine. Pings can be blocked by firewalls although the default software firewall in Mac will allow you to ping. Are you using any other anti whatever software on the Mac that could block the ping?

  • I need to re install my printer to my laptop, but lost the disc for MX410.

I need to re install my printer to my laptop, but lost the disc for MX410.

    Hi morineb,
The latest drivers for the printer can be downloaded from the Canon USA website.  Please click here to go to the Drivers and Software page for the PIXMA MX410.  Once on the initial download page for your model, please do the following:
    1. Verify that the operating system detected in the "OPERATING SYSTEM" drop-down menu is correct, and if it is not, please click the drop-down menu to select your operating system.
    2. Next, please click on the red arrow next to the "RECOMMENDED DOWNLOADS" section and click the MP drivers file. When you do, a red DOWNLOAD button will appear. Please click on the checkbox below the DOWNLOAD button, then click the red DOWNLOAD button to begin the download. The time for the download process may vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file being downloaded.
Once you have downloaded the MP drivers file, please double-click on it and follow the prompts to reinstall the printer on your computer.
    Hope this helps!

i have c 6180 wireless printer and an apple ipad2, can the printer print from the ipad? how can i set it up?

Not with the built-in AirPrint print function.  However, you can download free and cheap print apps that can provide some (limited) printing abilities.  HP's iPrint is one of those.

Have you tried to reboot your iPad? Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try agian.
Also, try power cycling your router. Meaning, unplug it, count to 10, then plug it back in. Let it reboot and see if that helps.
