I need to download repair tool so I can install Silverlight on my computer.  I have a Fujitsu lapto, Operating System: Windows Vista

Possibly you would get better answers on Microsoft's user forums, since both Silverlight and Windows are their products, and have nothing to do with Apple, the Mac OS or Bonjour.

  • Where to get dbx repair tool?

My DBX files are not small but Outlook Express cannot show messages from it. What outlook express repair tool can solve this problem?

Before going for any third party utility, I think you should try the free Outlook Express basic repair kit provided by Microsoft, which include:
    Deletion of temporary internet files
    Compacting all folders
Re-register Outlook Express and its libraries

  • Repair tool needed after every send/receive

So this problem has been consistent for more than 3 months now. I can open my Outlook just fine and I can do just about anything I need to. I can send, receive, schedule meetings and reminders etc.... But every time I try to remove a message from my .pst,
I get the error "Errors have been detected...." and I have to run the repair tool. This happens if I move a message from one PST to another or when I try to delete a message. After I run the repair tool and open Outlook, it works fine... then I receive
a new email and it's the same story all over again. I have literally run the repair tool 2 or 3 times a day for the last few months.
I have tried creating a new .PST file and I get the same issue. I have tried disabling all Add-Ins, and the problem is still there. Any suggestions on how to correct this issue?

    Hi,
Which version of Outlook are you using?
What’s the file size of your Outlook data file? If the data file size exceed the limit, it may cause some unexpected issue. If so, please delete some unwanted items to reduce the pst file size and then check the result. More information about Outlook pst
    file size limits, please refer:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982577
Besides, if you installed any security programs, please temporarily turn off them to check the result. Make sure there’s no security program integrated with your Outlook.
If above not working, please back up your data file on an external drive and then run a scandisk and defrag on the hard drive where you store your pst files. After that, test the issue again.

  • Need an Outlook PST repair tool for MS Outlook 2010

My Outlook mailbox messages are corrupted. Someone has suggested to me use advanced PST repair tool.
I have no idea about this one utility. Can anyone suggest useful reference ?
    Regards:
    christa

    Hi Christa,
In case of severe corruption, Scanpst.exe don't work, that's why Scanpst.exe is getting terminated during
mid stage of repair process. So, the only way you are left with is to try any third party Outlook PST Repair tool. Though I have never used any PST Repair tool personally but while searching on Google I have found the following tools:
    http://www.stellarphoenixrecovery.com/software-for-pst.php
    http://www.dd-pst-repair.com/
    http://www.cimaware.com/main/products/outlookfix.php
I would suggest you to try the demo of these tools first before purchasing the full version.

    Dear Windows support personel,
         As part of my message reads above; I keep getting an i-tunes update message and when I click on the OK to download it, I get an error message saying there was a problem and I need to go to Tools>manual download.  Well, I don't know how to do that even though I gave it my best try. I went to the support sight and it had the following message;
    1. Remove iTunes and related components from the Control Panel
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order. Then, restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or  only uninstalling some of these components, may have unintended affects.
If you encounter an error while uninstalling, try repairing the affected component:
I don't know if I should do that since I'm not PC savey. Could you help me by doing the work on my pc for me? I'd be most apprieciative if you'd help me in this manner.

  • SOLVED !? Recovery. Your (new) PC needs to be repaired. Boot configuration error code 0x0000034

I booted my new-ish laptop and immediately got an EXTREMELY serious pre-boot error.
"Recovery. Your PC needs to be repaired. The boot configuration data is missing some required information. file:\BCD  error code 0x0000034. ... press ESCAPE to go to (pre-)boot menu." (and laptop turns off after 20 secs)
After pressing ESC and getting the (pre-)boot menu, NOTHING I tried worked !! Tried several times.
I had to use a 6 inch e-reader to access the web. After a long long search and finding little of use, I found an obscure forum post that said to press 0 during the Toshiba pre-boot.
After a long wait. That gave me the Win 8.1 maintenance window. I followed the advanced options to auto-repair my laptop. After a long wait it told me:
    "Could not repair PC"  !!!???
I decided to click the reboot menu from this win 8.1 windows. It was basically my only option left.
After a long reboot, it seems to have worked !?? Some of my Win 8.1 settings have been lost AGAIN; e.g. task manager default viewing settings.
    CONLUSIONS (brief):
    - Not having a recovery USB
    - Not having a recovery DVD (useless since Win 8.1 deactivated this)
    - Not having the Win 8.1 install disk
    - Not knowing the pre-boot press 0 key trick
    - MAKE SURE you have a recovery USB for your system (cannot use a DVD on win 8.1)
    - Don't believe Win 8.1 statements saying can't repair PC !!??
I never expected this from Toshiba and a non-cheap laptop.

  • Hard Drive Volume Needs to be Repaired - Please help!

I actually posted this question before, so if you happen to read this for the second time, I do apologize for that. The reason I am posting again is because I couldn't solve the problem, and when I called Apple care today, they asked me to extend my Applecare to 3 years first or pay a one-time $49.99 fee (I bought my mbp in May). I understand this process, but right now I do not have this budget so I need to find help here. I really appreciate all your help in advance.
I ran Disk Utility the other day, and while verifying and repairing the "Disk permissions" seemed to work okay, when I clicked "Verify Disk," a pop-up windon said (I don't quite understand what the following message means):
    First Aid failed
Disk Utility stopped verifying “Macintosh HD” because the following error was encountered:
The underlying task reported failure on exit
....and the disk utility screen showed:
    Verifying volume “Macintosh HD”
    Checking HFS Plus volume.
    Checking Extents Overflow file.
    Checking Catalog file.
    Invalid node structure
The volume Macintosh HD needs to be repaired.
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit
    1 HFS volume checked
    Volume needs repair
However the "Repair Disk" buttom is faded grey and inactive, so I couldn't repair the HD volume right away. I tried to insert the Installtion CD and started up the computer by pressing down "c" in order to start up and repair the HD using the CD. However, even though I was finally able to see the active "Repair Disk" buttom in the "install mode" with the CD inserted, when I clicked the repair buttom, it still showed the exact same message as I mentioned before (the bold texts). I then guess I couldn't repair the volume HD this way either.
The other thing I don't understand is I actually ran the Apple Hardware Test using the installation CD too, but after both normal and extended check, it said my HD is fine - there's no problem found. So I really don't know what is causing the Disk Utility message and the HD volume failure.
Could someone give me sugesstions what to do to fix the problem? I really really appreicate all kind of assistance! Thank you very much!
    17" MBP   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Claire, the message you received when you ran Disk Utility's disk repair routine from the Installation Disc 1 simply means that there are problems with your drive that Disk Utility can't fix.
It's possible (but not certain) that the current full version of Tech Tools Pro <http://www.micromat.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=164&Itemid=8 5> could repair your hard drive. But you would have to buy the application.
For no-cost approaches here are two suggestions:
1 It's possible (but not likely) that simply doing an Archive & Install from your Installation Disc 1 might fix the problem. If you don't have a convenient way to back up all your data to an external drive or DVD, it may be worth a try.
2 A complete erase (using the "zero" option in Disk Utility), followed by installation of the OS from your Installation Disc 1 should get the drive back in good shape (as it passed Hardware Test). This will of course erase all your applications and data files, so they should first be backed up somehow.
    Good luck.

  • Your PC needs to be repaired - Error code 0xc0000428

    Hey guys,
I was using my laptop and we had a power failure in the area, my laptop battery was unplugged (it is not working). And when the electricity came back whenever I start my laptop I come into a blue screen with an error message. Your PC needs to be
repaired. Also it shows an error code: 0xc0000428.
I tried to repair it with windows 8 cd but nothing happens when I try to boot to windows 8
Tried to install ubuntu and 7  from the usb and it doesn't do anything when I select the usb in the boot screen...
I unplugged the harddisk and plugged it in to another laptop, wiped the harddisk using (winPE cd) copied the image and applied it using the imagex tool, installed the bcdboot binaries and everything was successful!
I plugged the harddisk back in my laptop and now whenever I start my computer I get this error "the file possibly corrupt. the file header checksum not match the computed checksum"
I would be pleased if you can help me. Thank you

    Hello Bara Tanich,
I think it is hardware issue after the power down.
About the hardware issue, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer for help.
Please use another new disk in the laptop and check if it can normally boot to exclude the cause of hardware.

  • Office 2007 Inbox repair tool for Outlook

Running Office 2007 Windows 7 64bit received this error but program wont open for me to follow its suggestion.   "Can not open errors have been detected close and then use the inbox repair tool scanpst.exe"Warrior57

    Hi,
If you open your Outlook and receive this message, you may need to use the Inbox Repair Tool to repair your PST file. Follow these steps:
On the Start menu, click Run.
    In the Open box, type
    drive:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Mapi\LocaleID\scanpst.exe
where LocaleID is the locale identifier (LCID) for your installation of Microsoft Office. For example, the LCID for English (United States) is 1033. For a list of LCIDs, see Microsoft Office Help.
    Click OK.
In the Enter the name of the file you want to scan box, type the path and file name given in the error message above.
Note   You may not be able to use the
Browse button to locate this file because it is located in a hidden folder.
To change the options for logging errors during the scan, click Options. If you choose
Replace log or Append to log, the log file is saved to the same directory as the .pst file.
    Click Start.
When the file scan is completed, select the Make a backup of scanned file before repairing check box.
    Click Repair.
If the file is successfully repaired, you will see a Repair complete message. If the Inbox Repair Tool was unable to repair the file, you will need to use a backup of your file.
    Hope that helps.

  • Is there any trustworthy Exchange BKF repair tool?

I need to export some critical data (edb and log files) from the exchange bkf file but due to some networking problem, backup process got interrupted which made bkf file inaccessible. After searching a lot about this over Internet, I found that majority
of the people have advised to use any utility for that.
Can anyone suggest any efficient utility to export data from damaged exchange bkf file?

    Hi Tuckor,
You can try any of the following Exchange BKF Repair tools:
    http://www.stellarinfo.com/email-repair/exchange-bkf-repair.php
    http://www.taskmanagerfix.com/exchange-bkf-to-pst.html
    http://www.bkfrepairtool.org/exchange-bkf-recovery.html
    http://www.exchangebkfrepair.com/
PS: I have not used any of the above tools, while searching on Google, I found some of them. But I have used some other products of
Task Manager Fix and Stellar Phoenix and they did exactly what I needed. So, I think you can depend upon their other products as well but I would advise you to test  free version of every product first
to check if the particular tool is able to repair your corrupt Exchange BKF file or not. Chhose sensibly.

  • Receiving a "FIXMAPI 1.0 MAPI Repair Tool has stopped working" error

One of our users has Windows 7 Installed. When she emails out attachments, she right clicks it and chooses to "Sent To" and then selects "Mail Recipient".
It opens and creates a new email fine. Upon pressing SEND it gives a "FIXMAPI 1.0 MAPI Repair Tool has stopped working" It does successfully email.
    I attached a screenshot.

    Hi,
Have you tried to repair the Office for the user?
If that won't work, open the Explorer, and navigate to
    %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo
Delete the file named Mail recipient. (Make a backup before you doing that, or you can just move it to the other folders.)
    And then open folder
    C:\Windows
Find the file named Win.ini, open it with Notepad, find the section that begins with [Mail], and then add the following lines. Some lines may already exist, but you need all of them for this feature.
    [Mail]
    MAPI=1
    CMC=1
    CMCDLLNAME=mapi.dll
    CMCDLLNAME32=mapi32.dll
    MAPIX=1
    MAPIXVER=1.0.0.1
    OLEMessaging=1
Save it and quit Notepad, restart the Computer.
See if we can get rid of it.

  • Does the Clone repair tool have an Aligned option like PhotoShop?

PhotoShop's clone stamp has an option that is called "Aligned" under CS3 (not sure of its name in prior versions.) When clicked, there is a fixed spatial relationship between the source and destination pixels, even if you complete one clone operation, move the cursor, and click again for another one. SO for instance you can fix numerous places in a photo by always grabbing pixels "down and to the right a bit", only needing to reset your source pixels when you get to an area of the picture where that relationship won't work well.
When it is not clicked, then the clone stamp always goes back to the same spot you option-clicked on originally. It's like each clone stamp operation is "dipping into the well of good pixels" where you told it to, until you reset the source area again.
Both of these modes are useful at different times. As near as I can tell, Aperture clone option on the repair tool only works like the second one, but I sure miss having the Aligned option too. Is there some way to get that effect in Aperture that I'm just not seeing?
    Thanks,
    Duncan

  • Disk needs to be repair

Hello. Today i was running my routine check-ups on my computer when i encountered an error in disk utility while running a verify disk. The following error is listed below:
    Verifying volume “Macintosh HD”
    Checking HFS Plus volume.
    Checking Extents Overflow file.
    Checking Catalog file.
    Checking multi-linked files.
    Checking Catalog hierarchy.
    Checking Extended Attributes file.
    Checking volume bitmap.
Volume Bit Map needs minor repair
    Checking volume information.
    Invalid volume free block count
    Invalid volume free block count
(It should be 5494700 instead of 5492633)",2)
The volume Macintosh HD needs to be repaired.
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit
    1 HFS volume checked
    Volume needs repair
After i encountered this error i ram the permissions which were fine. I then went to my Tech-Tools and tried to run that as well but failed at the last step which was "Volume Structure".
I read up on a few of the errors that were listed and they seem to not encounter many problems. Mainly errors about "journals"? Not really sure what this all means and was wondering if there are any issues here. Also if these errors are nothing to worry about will this disrupt any future checks that i might need to do with disk utility in the future. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

There are in fact two boot modes which can be confused:
Safe Boot - startup with shift key. This stops the startup items loading and drivers upon startup.
Single user mode - startup with command-S. This brings you up in a superuser command screen which let's you run fsck.
The purpose of the former is to see if any drivers or startup items are interrupting your startup, and if so, get a chance to uninstall them and later inform the publisher of those software of a possible operating system issue with their system addon.
The purpose of the latter is the ability to run the almost equivalent of Disk Utility Repair Disk when you don't have an installer disk at the ready that can do it. Note, I say almost equivalent. If you really want to do it thoroughly, you need the operating system installer disk which installed the last boot operating system on your computer.
Single User mode also gives you command line control of files and permissions as well. Since that part of it is dangerous if you don't know what you are doing, I won't give you instructions here as it is not relevant to the current thread.
Neither troubleshooting method is recommended without first having backed up your data. In fact anytime you install new software, or update it, it is wise to backup first.
