Hi HRHundt2, if you have suite installed, then if you try deactivating any application will eventually deactivate complete suite.

  • Hi, I would like to deactivate CS6 from my old laptop and reactivate it on my new one. In order to re-activate it, what is the process? Do I need to download the product like the first time? Is there something to be careful of? Thank you!

    Hi petrosk47967892,
In order to reactivate this product on a new machine, you can simply download & Install the product on the new machine using the following link and enter the serial number when prompted. Make sure to deactivate the product from your old machine by launching any one of the products, go to Help>Deactivate/signout.

  • Do I need to deactivate my CS6 software before dowloading CC?

Hi, CC looks like an exciting time for Adobe..
    Wanting to get on board..
My question is I already own a serial number to CS6 Master Collection..MAC version
Obvioulsy I do not want to overload my sytem with another set of software, so I'm looking to uninstall my cs6 software before installing CC
Do I need to deactivate my software ie: just like a new upgrade install in the past?
The other question is..is the file CC size bigger than the c6 master collection? ....ie: with all applications installed similar to CS6 master collection disk download
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    .thanks CG99

Yes, if you no longer plan on using it on your system, deactivating your CS6 would be advisable. The file sizes have increased here and there, but not significantly, at least I wouldn't call 100 or 200 MB significant enough to complain, despite my slow Internet connection. It's just gonan take some time one way or the other...

  • Do i need to deactivate my CS5 programs before i install the CS6 upgrade?

Do i need to deactivate my CS5 programs before i install the CS6 upgrade?

    that is correct.
all older versions of adobe products (except some versions of adobe acrobat) can not only be installed on the same computer but can be open and used at the same time.  eg, i routinely have flash pro cc and flash pro cs6 open at that same time.

  • I need to install CS6 on a replacement hard drive and need help with deactivation/reactivation

I have had a major hard drive crash that is resulting in my replacing the drive in my Mac with a new one, then re-installing my programs onto it. I have a copy of CS6 on the current bad hard drive that is activated. Do I need to deactivate it before installing it on my new hard drive even though it will be on the same computer, just a different hard drive? If so, how can I deactivate it when the drive the Creative Suite is on is bad? Is there a place on Adobe's website that I can log in and manage my activations if I have to deactivate in order to put CS6 on my replacement drive?

hi. I have the exact same problem. I'm getting the 'configuration' error, and my uninstall application for each application with CS6 'can't be found' since it is apparently an alias. I'm not getting any answers from Adobe and getting frustrated. Would simply like to know how to uninstall or start from scratch. I'll let you know if I hear anything. I posted the question on the 'creative suites' forum.

  • Error starting Acrobat X Pro: ...You need to deactivate another computer within 32767 days to use

The serial number xxxxxxx...  is already in use by the maximum allowed computers. You need to deactivate another computer within 32767 days to use this product.
Installed CS6 Design Std (which included Acro X Pro) from DVD.  All the apps work except for Acrobat, which gives the above error.  The s/n in the error is different from the s/n used for installing Design Std.  Per support, fully uninstalled Design Std and any other Acrobat related s/w, then ran a "cleaner" that they provided.  Reinstalled CS6 Design Std from DVD ... same problem.  Already wasted over 4 hours on Adobe support chat.
    Thanks.

This suggestion from Adobe Tech Support did NOT work either...
Thank you for contacting Adobe Technical Support.
I understand that you are unable to activate Acrobat X Pro.
From the error message it seems like Acrobat is taking the standalone serial number and not from the suite.
Have you tried uninstalling only Acrobat and reinstall it from the CS6 suite? If not, then please perform uninstall Acrobat and reinstall it as trial.
Once the reinstallation is completed, first launch a product from CS6 like Photoshop and then launch Acrobat X and check if it works.

  • Can't deactivate CS6

I purchased cs6 a year ago and installed and registered it with no problems.  Last december I decided to avail of photoshop cs6 cc offer and subscribed to it.  However in order for me to avail of cs6 cc I have to deactivate my original cs6 but I cannot do it.  My internet is working perfectly, I am able to sign into adobe and use other sites, but when I try to deactivate cs6 it states it is unable to connect to the internet.  I am not familiar with proxy settings and the like but need to get this sorted asap.
Any help would be gratefully  appreciated.

I forgot to add that your allowed two installs on two of your own computers, so you can go ahead and install
on your new computer and it should still activate unless you already used up your two activations.

  • I need to deactivate 4 Adobe products

Hello, sorry for my poor English, i am spanish. I have to format a computer that probably has a windows problem. Before I do that, i need to deactivate the four acrobat products i have installed. The four products are: Indesign, Dreamweaver and Photoshop CS6. The last one is Acrobat professional 11.
The Photoshop and the Indesign ones have enabled in the help menu the option Deactivate. That's ok.
But i have a problem with Acrobat 11 and Dreamweaver, i cant deactivate them cause the Dramweaver has the option "Deactivate" disabled, and the Acrobat professional has no option.
Please i need a quick solution to format that computer and reinstall the software in the same machine (changing the hard disk), in order to free the licenses.

  • I need to uninstall CS6 Extended

I need to move CS6 & Lightroom from one laptop to a newer one. What do I need to do about the registration & activation please?

You need to deactivate the current install if you will not be using the current laptop in the future. Not deactivating Adobe software would tie up one of you two activations.  If your not going to use the old machine you should also uninstall Adobe software from it . You may give the machine to someone the machine is your to give away Photoshop is not.
You install and activate Adobe's software on you new machine the same was you did in on you old machine.
You move or copy your data from your old machine onto your mew machine. You may even copy you CS6 Photoshop preferences to you new machine the will nor be removed when you uninstall Photoshop. I do not know about Lightroom I have no use for it.

  • Selling computer - do I need to deactivate CC first?

I'm selling one of my computers that has CC installed on it. Do I need to deactivate or uninstall CC before I wipe the drive? (like I do with CS6 products)

    Hi Navarro,
Yes, in order to save one instance you need to deactivate it.
Please refer the following help document on how to deactivate creative cloud and other information.

    Hope this helps.

  • Deactivate CS6 from a Dead Computer

I have cs6 installed on a computer that the mother board died leaving the computer not able to start. I am not able to deactivate cs6 on the dead computer. How would I get this deactivated ??

I'm having the same problem. I had a laptop HD replaced and our IT guy managed to zap the entire drive in the process. It's taken a month restore all my apps. Luckily I'd backed up what little data was on the original drive. I use the laptop to work remote. I fought my way thru Autodesk subscription, Sketchup and their all the various plugin apps to get the system to match my workstations...then there's Adobe 'support'!
I use Production Premium CS6. After logging into my Adobe account I could get all my previous serial numbers except CS5, the one I'd need to activate CS6! I'd installed CS6 in 2012, using my upgrade based on my purchase of CS5 upgrade from CS4 and so on. I'm suspicious of that missing serial number, but I must be conspiracy theorist at heart.
On-line I found an adobe direct line that took me to an outsourced 'adobe rep' who was happy to help me. He connected to my laptop by remote and was glad to reactivate my CS6, however he told me that the CS5 serial number died with the old hard drive and that he'd be glad to reactivate for 599.00 USD! I then realized that I'd connected with a scam, not Adobe support!
Any real Adobe support for a CS products appears to have been dismantled, creating opportunities for scammers and I'm at wits end with trying to follow monster Adobe as it turns its back on its previous customers.
A chat line connection might be a saving grace for me...I don't find the link either!

  • I have to reformat my hard drive and reinstall all of my programs. What do I do about Creative Cloud? I also still need access to CS6 (I have a Marksware converter for InDesign to Quark).

I have to reformat my hard drive and reinstall all of my programs. What do I do about Creative Cloud? I also still need access to CS6 (I have a Marksware converter for InDesign to Quark).
This is a MacBook Pro 15" (Model number A1286) running Mavericks. Hard drive is fine but system software has been corrupted. I cannot simply restore from Time Machine as it will copy the corrupt system.
Will I have to find all of my serial numbers before I can launch any of the programs?
    Thanks

For the Cloud, you log in to your paid Cloud account and download & install the same way you did the first time
    Cloud Getting Started https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/topics/getting-started.html
If you have the perpetual license version of CS6 you install from your original media and use your serial number
