    If you open Terminal
    Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app
You can see all the user on your machine, this would lead you in the right direction
    copy and paste:
    dscl . list /Users | grep -v ^_.*

my apple id for icloud is linked to an invalid email address and i do not have the password for the account.  I need to delete the account to access my icloud on my iphone.  any ideas on how to override this issue?

If you updated the old ID at one point to create your current iCloud ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

    Then Restore as new.
Or on the iPad Settings > General > Reset Erase all content and settings.

  • I registered the wrong information for my iCloud account--I misspelled and now want to change it.  Help is needed to delete the account and start anew.

I registered the the wrong information for my iCloud account--I misspelled the account name.  I accidentally spelled blackberry instead of blackbird.  How can I change this?

If you don't want to use an alias you'll have to create a new account as you cannot change the @icloud.com address once created.  You'll have to create a new ID, verify the ID, then use the ID to create the new account, and migrate your iCloud data to the new account.
If you are currently syncing data with iCloud, begin by saving any photo stream photos to your camera roll as mentioned above.  If you are syncing Notes with iCloud, you'll also need to open each of them and email them to yourself so they can be recreated in the new account.  Finally, if you are syncing any iWork documents with iCloud, turn off iCloud syncing in your iWork app settings.
Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted.  Then in Settings>iCloud tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom, set up your new ID, verify the email address you use to create it by responding to Apple's verification email, then sign in with the new ID to create your new account.  Turn on your iCloud sync settings and choose Merge when prompted to upload your data to the new account.  When you turn Mail to On you will be prompted to create your new @icloud.com email address.  Be carefull to type it correctly as it cannot later be changed.

  • Need to delete iCloud Account

    Hey there.
I recently decided I want a professional iCloud-eMail Address, i.e. [email protected] and created a new iCloud-Account for it. However, I recently found out about aliases and would now like to delete the pro adress and just add it as an alias, as to get rid of the hassle of logging on and off when using different accounts. As far as I have heard, normally accounts are not being deleted, but I am sure that if there is a reason to do so (as there is one in my case) it is possible. How do I go about this?
Thanks in advance for any helpful comments!

I do not know, if there is a reason for that, but I am sorry that I have to tell you that you cannot delete an address and add it to another account.

  • Need to delete icloud account, but I changed my email and password

I changed my iCloud login information to my new email address, and now I can't change my iCloud account on my iPhone because it's still using the old email address. When prompted for the password it fails because the ID/email address is no longer tied to my account and is no longer even a valid email address.
How can I change my iCloud account without these credentials?

If the old iCloud ID ("email address") is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.

  • I recently changed my Apple ID online, but I can't find a way to change it on my iPod touch. It will let me change the password, but not the ID. What do I do? Do I need to delete the account and start over?

I recently changed my Apple ID online, but I can't find a way to change it on my iPod touch. When I try to purchse an app, the iTouch keeps showing my old ID. However, when I purchase an app online with the new ID, it downloads to my iPod. What do I do to change the ID on the iPod itself?

Have you went to Settings>Store and sign out and sign back in?

  • HT204053 I have accidently set up 2 iCloud accounts. I need to delete one so everything is one one. How do I do that? Or at the very least, how do I change ICloud accounts on my iPhone?

    Hello,
I just set up my ICloud account and noticed that my iPhone and Mac were not syncing or sharing information. I realized that I have each of them set up under a different AppleID. How do I delete one account so that I can get all my Apple devices on one id?
    thank you!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't delete accounts, you can only stop using them.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)

Please Please help . so complicated . ok i had an apple id but couldn't remember id n password so i made a new one . old one has all my music . old one has an old email that i can't access . after i made new one i remembered the old one . i want the old one cause it has alot of purchased music on it . thing is , my current email is now assosiated with new id . cant use same id with both so i need to delete new account so i can add my email to old account . How in the world do I delete the new apple id ? Please help me

This is a user-to-user forum. Nobody here can delete anything for you.
But - even if you contacted apple/itunes, I don't think they will delete it, either. Just don't use the new one, is my advice. It's a huge hassle over the years to have to remember the login credentials for 2 accounts.

  • Need to delete account but support page wont work!

Hi, I need to delete my account.
I have typed this into help which tells me I need to contact Skype support however when I try to the page doesnt work so I cant contact them!
Anyone know how to contact them by email? I've been trying to get on the right page for days but it just says "oops" and that its down!

try using another web browser to open the Skype webform page, or perhaps another computer if available.  If still that doesn't work, you can also try to send an email to [email protected]  Yet, contacting Skype via webform/support page usually results to quicker responses as it have some sort of email filtering system based on the categories that a user will select (or something like that).
IF YOU FOUND OUR POST USEFUL THEN PLEASE GIVE "KUDOS". IF IT HELPED TO FIX YOUR ISSUE PLEASE MARK IT AS A "SOLUTION" TO HELP OTHERS. THANKS!

  • We need to delete some student accounts and then have them rejoin. How do we do this?

After signing up, we realized that our students had to get a confirmation email. And we don't allow them to receive external email. So after allowing it, we need to delete their accounts and start over. How do we delete the account?

The answer is not simple. First, are these images in the Camera Roll or the Photos app? Next, do you have Photo Stream enabled? Also, do you back up your phone to your computer or to iCloud, or to both?
If you have Photo Stream enabled then the images have already been distributed to anyone who is subscribed. Nothing that I can think of that you can do about that. The rest of this post assumes that Photo Stream was never turned on.
If the images are in your Camera Roll you can delete them from the Camera app. The won't go anywhere, however, they will still be in your backups.
If you back up to your computer using iTunes you can go to iTunes Preferences, Devices tab, and delete your backups. After deleting all of them, and also after you have deleted the images from the Camera Roll, do a new backup.
After deleting the backups do a Secure Delete of deleted files on your computer. On a Mac you can do this with Disk Utility; have it erase deleted files. On Windows you need to get a 3rd party "shredder" app.
If you back up to iCloud on the phone go to Settings/iCloud - Storage & backup - Manage Storage. Tap on each backup and delete it.
If you have photos in the Photos app that are NOT in the Camera Roll album you need to connect your phone to iTunes, click on the Photos tab, uncheck all of them that you don't want (or uncheck Sync Photos if you want all of them gone), then sync.
Then repeat all of the steps above.

Hi. For some reason someone has found my ip address via Skype directory and now I am constantly being ddos'ed so I need to delete this account for security purposes immediately.
This is really important because now my entire house's internet is affected by this I really need to get this fix and I cannot afford to wait any longer, I was told to use the support area text chat but this message provided:

Sorry, we’re having some problems at the moment. Please try again later. In the meantime, you can post to the Skype Community or read our FAQs.
I understand it might take up to 2 weeks for the process to delete my skype account but please reply to me so I know it is in progress.
Can anyone please help me? Thank you!

I'm not sure it would remove your IP off resolver sites. Maybe use a proxy to change the last used IP?

  • How can I delete an account, BUT only after having saved data

I need to delete my account from the iPhone BUT not before having saved the current data. How?
My Calendar, Contacts, Bookmarks sync is not working. As a solution, I was told to delete account from the iPhone, reset the iPhone, create my MobileMe account again on the iPhone and select Calendar, Contacts and Bookmarks to be synced using MobileMe.
Fine, but I get a warning that all the information that I currently have in Calendar, Contacts and Bookmarks on my iPhone will be lost!!!
That would be a problem, as I have entered a great number of new contacts on the iPhone, and I really don't want to lose them. Is there no way to MERGE without losing what's on the iPhone? Or can I save the Contacts and Calendar data somehow before I delete the account of the iPhone, so I can import them back later in a new account?
In a nutshell: I need to delete my account from the iPhone BUT not before having saved the current data. How?

If the sync process is not working between your iPhone and the MobileMe "cloud", is it working properly between the Address Book and iCal on your Mac with the MobileMe "cloud"?
With a MM account, you can sync contacts and calendar events over the air, or direct with the supported applications on your compute via the iTunes sync process. You can do one or the other, not both at the same time. In order to sync direct with the supported applications on your computer via the iTunes sync process, you must turn Contacts and Calendars off for over the air syncing on your iPhone, which will remove all contacts and calendar events from your iPhone.
I'm afraid you will need to manually enter the new contacts with the Address Book, the new calendar events with iCal on your Mac.
There is an outside chance. Contacts and calendar events are included with your iPhone's backup. You can sync with iTunes to update your iPhone's backup before deleting your MM account on your iPhone - I suggest turning Contacts and Calendars off on your iPhone before deleting the account.
Follow deleting your MM account from your iPhone by restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup. This should restore the contact and calendar events on your iPhone from your iPhone's backup. Follow this by syncing with the Address Book and iCal on your Mac.
There is a chance this won't work and if not, all contacts and calendar events on your iPhone will be lost in the process.
