I need to disable the delete key from going back a page.

My son is doing online homeschooling. If he is taking a quiz and accidentally hits the delete key to correct a word in his answer the page goes back and he is kicked out of the quiz. I need to disable this function in Safari to protect him from this. Please help.

Need to have the delete key in phone dialpad at the bottom

WIth the new os 7, my iphone 5 phone dialpad's backspace or delete was moved from the bottom to the top. This makes it very difficult to use the phone with one hand, esp when you make a typo. I have not been able to move my right thumb all the way to the top to reach the delete key. Is there a way to go back to the old phone dialpad where the delete key was at the bottom of the screen or put in a suggestion to apple to bring the old dial pad back?

I work for a school district and we have online testing. One of the requierments is that all the function keys are disabled. I have search for a solution to do so but have come out empty handed.
Does anybody know of a solution for my problem? I would prefer a GPO if at all possible.

You'll probably have to write an autohotkey script to unbind F1 through F12.
Brightness and volume probably can't be disabled because they're managed at a relatively low level. The other hotkeys can probably be rebound:

How can I disable 'backspace' key from navigating back a page?

Several times over the last couple weeks, I type up a very well thought out response on Facebook in political conversations with friends. An hour or two into my work, I hit backspace with the intent of editing what I wrote (maybe after I scrolled or something, so maybe I unintentionally took the edit window out of focus). The navigator takes me back a page and I lose my two hours of work. Infuriating! Shortcuts with the ability to wipe out two hours of works should be disable-able. Not only that, I feel that is an unsafe shortcut for this very reason, and would have added a SHIFT modifier key or something like that. I think I invented a cool word: disable-able.

You can set the Integer pref browser.backspace_action to 2 on the about:config page to disable the backspace action. BTW Shift + Backspace does the reverse: going Forward if possible, so that is taken as well.

How do I stop backspace from going back one page?

I am trying to play Evony but whenever I press backspace it dumps me out of the game and goes back to the logn page.
I have tried adding an extension, but there are no how-to's telling me how tomake it work.
It has taken me 20 mins to post this because every time I try and type in this box the page gets reloaded and corrupted & I have to start again. Safari keeps reloading a help section within the text box then hangs, then crashes.
Ended up typing this in NOTEPAD and pasting it in.
Think I'll use Any Other Broser TBH.

OK, I have found that I cannot use Safari on this website!! I am now using Chrome to be ble to reply here!!
Whenever I use Safari, this txt box gets filled in with a web page telling me something cannot be found, then the browser hangs, then crashes.
Using Chrome, the backspace button does NOT navigate me back one page like it does in Safari.
Add that to the fact that the Safari browser cannot visit the Apple page and you have my answer.
DONT use Safari!!

Full Screen mode (F11) is a Browser feature, not of Apex.

Is there any way to disable the use of the "Delete" key to delete an email message?

It's very frustrating when I hit the delete key and iCloud automatically erases the selected email message. I receive some HTML formatted emails that include a text box that I can utilize to directly reply to something. If I don't make any mistakes at all, I can utilize this box and post a reply. But if I mess up and need to delete text, instead of deleting text iCloud deletes the email message. Is there any way to disable this?

I don't believe it's possible to disable the delete key, but could be wrong. However, if you delete an email in error, you can restore it by pressing cmd + Z to undo the deletion.

ASA 5505 Failure replaced and need to move the license key?

Can someone point me in the right direction? My ASA 5505 died due to a power surge and I swapped it with a spare. I had Security Plus and a 50 user license and need to move the license keys from the failed ASA 5505 to the new one. I kept both my emails with the activation keys, but not sure how I get this transferred? Thanks in advance.

I think this is totally unacceptable. For anyone else who uses a 5505 at home and has bought licenses and the hardware out of their own pocket, the idea here should be that you've already bought the hardware and the license. Seems obvious, right?
Yes I can see the license being device specific if not only because that's the way you've designed your licensing activation schema; but if I've just had your product fail and bought another replacement, there should be an understanding or agreement between Cisco and the user that we can reinstate any licenses we've already bought.
Do you really believe it's fair to make someone buy something from you twice, something that they've already bought from you? Do you actually believe that? I believe that the people in the Cisco Licensing department would agree with my viewpoint and I have a pending case with them for this issue right now. I will post my result here.

I need to reprogram the delete and enter key to the left side of a external keyboard for the ipad mini. I don't need the caps/lock or ctrl key. Due to a brain injury my daughter can only use her left hand to type. She also uses a text to speech app to verbalize all of her needs since her speech isn't intelligible any longer either. And her vision was significantly affected also, so the keyboard has to be mounted about 6 inches from her face. So to reach across the keyboard with her left hand to the right side delete and enter button is physically difficult and causes typing errors, which cause people to not understand what shes trying to say.
The best keyboard so far is the Zagg folio mini. I just had to make stickers to enlarge the letters on the key buttons.
Does anyone know how I can reprogram these two keys? Or where I can buy a wireless mini keyboard for Ipad made for lefthanders with these two functions on the left side. I have searched for days and days. It's sooooo important to me that she be able to contribute her voice again. Imagine if you got in a car accident and couldn't speak clearly any longer, but understood everything still. Thanks for any help and suggestions you all take the time to share with me. I really appreciate the kindness of strangers to help me help my daughter.

Need to remove the delete access of a document from CV02N

We have implemented DMS. We found one issue that if by mistake a person hits the delete button in CV02N all the history gets erased.
We want to remove this capability from all people other than the supervisor.
I have tried playing around with authorization object C_DRAW_TCD, C_DRAW_TCS and C_DRAD_OBJ i.e. by removing the 06 option from Activity.
But I am still not able to disable the delete option.
Let me know how do I go about the same.

the delete of applications in CV02N can be done by any of the following ways,
1. thru abapers, by doing some changes in program (which is not recommended at all)
2. thru creation of screen variants thru t-code SHD0, in this you need to enter the t-code and specific doc type under which changes are required, further the Delete option can be made invisible.

I often think I am typing in another window but I'm actually typing while Mail.app is selected. When I discover this, I often (without really thinking) start whacking the delete key. When I whack the delete key, of course, a message is moved to the trash. So, without really thinking about it, I delete three to six messages. Go ahead -- call me stupid. But...
If delete is not used to delete files in the Finder, then why is it used to delete files in Mail?
One group suggested making customer keyboard macros. Sounded like a plausible solution. I could make a customer keyboard macro so that delete did nothing (or something benign) and make command-delete delete the message. Alas, using the Apple => System Preferences => Keyboard => Keyboard Shortcuts => Application Shortcuts gave me no Joy because it won't let me do either of those. When I try to enter either delete or command-delete into the "Keyboard Shortcut" box, it just beeps at me.
Does anyone here have a suggestion?

p.s. I can get the deleted messages back using Undo (repeatedly) but I think that is new with Lion. So life isn't tragic but it still is an interface that I'd like to change if I could.

You can define your own custom keystrokes in System Preferences -> Keyboard. I'm not 100% sure that this blocks the old keystroke, though, and am posting from my iPad and can't check that at the moment.

If QuickTime Player 7 isn't in the Utilities folder automatically, you can install it separately. See:

Is there a way to disable the shortcut key in Mail in Mountain Lion that deletes all mail in the Trash folder in all accounts: <shift><command><delete> ?
I did it once by mistake and it deleted all my trash - it is very difficult to restore when there are thousands of messages in various emaiil accounts.

While you can't (so far as I know) remove it - you can assign a different (& less likely to be used accidentally) one via System Preferences - Keyboard - Shortcuts.
Go there, create a new one (or 2) for Mail only, and give it the exact name(s) if the menu item(s) in question, capitalisation & ... included.
