I need to download 32 bit Firefox for chemdraw(application), but can only install 64 bit. Is there any way to manually download 32 bit Firefox?
Hello, I am currently using Connect.com as a chemistry supplement, but cannot answer some questions because its ChemDraw application cannot be accessed through 64 bit as I am told.
I am wondering how to download and install the 32 bit version of Firefox.
Unless you specifically download a BETA x64 bit, all downloads are x32. There is no official x64 support for Windows yet. Which version do you want to download? The latest is available at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/. Beta and Nightly at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/

Typically, when I have upgraded a program, all of the bookmarks, passwords, etc. have transferred to the newest version but, for some reason that did not happen with Firefox 4. I still have all my preferences files as they were moved to the trash. Is there any way I can import them back into the new version of Firefox as it is very frustrating to have lost them.
If you used the option to delete settings, or whatever it is worded when uninstalling, Firefox will remove all your important data information from profiles for all installed versions of Firefox, and you will then need luck and a file recovery utility to try to restore the information.
You mentioned files being moved to Trash, I was hoping you may still have the required original files. I use Windows XP, and I realise Macs use different locations for files, but I think the files have the same names.

Note the last article discusses problems when bookmarks are lost, and some of the possible reasons and solutions. Obviously I do not know what has actually happened in your case, and whether or not you used the delete option I initially mentioned. -
I believe when I first got my MacBook, that when I was in Firefox and downloaded a pdf, it opened automatically in a new Firefox tab. At some point, I think a window with the option to NOT do this appeared and I clicked the wrong option, i.e. to NOT have a downloaded pdf open up automatically in a new tab.

About Google toolbar............
Google decided that they will no longer produce the Google Toolbar for Firefox 5 and newer version. It is best to move on to other alternatives than to try any "hacks" to the toolbar that may or may not perform in the future. Future versions of Google toolbar will only work with IE7-9. Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Is there any way to edit the standard Firefox context menu for displayed Web pages? I frequently want to save a picture appearing on a page. Sometimes I "slip" and hit "Send Image" when I want "Save Image As", and have to sit and wait for a default send-mail page to come up, then close it, fiddling with its "are you sure" dialogs. This is a painful way to handle a slip-up. I basically NEVER want to e-mail an element directly from a page. Is there any way I can just delete "Send Image" from the context menu?

First, you can install Microsoft's Security Essentials in the Win 7 VM and keep it up-to-date. Second, you can turn off Sharing in Fusion's System Settings to keep the VM environment separate from your Mac. When you move to Portugal (very nice, I've just come back from visiting Cascais/Sintra/Sines ) I think you'll just get re-directed to Portuguese iTunes. When I moved to France from the UK I got re-directed to the French store.
To view UK programmes in France I used to subscribe to a VPN server through https://www.my-private-network.co.uk/ (there are others, but very pleased with their service). The catch-up channels (iPlayer, etc) think you're in the UK so you can watch the programmes online. Wouldn't work with iTunes UK store though . -
