I need to download cs3 for mac to test on yosemite

I have a customer that owns CS3 but is not sure if that runs on Yosemite. Where can we download CS3 to test this. On the Adobe site, I seem to run around in circles when I look for the older downloads....

There is nothing to test. It's not compatible quite officially. Fell free to wear yourself out trying to get it to work regardless and spending endless hours in the depths of the terminal.

Numbers is a joke compared to Excel. If I were you I would find a class/tutorial first, find out what they use (and it won't be Numbers) and see if you need the Mac or Windows version of Excel. Note that Excel is not sold as a seperate product from the Microsoft Office suites.

Serial numbers for older versions do not work across platforms.
At one time, when the product was current, you could get Adobe to switch you to the other platform, but I don't know whether Adobe will do that for old versions. I do know it's not going to work if you try to use your Windows license for a Mac installation.

You are looking at the WRONG Library, Catherine. What you describe is the Library in your user folder (home folder) and you don't want that.
You want the Library at the ROOT level of your hard disk, not your user Library.

If you have CS3 only and your camera is not supported by ACR 4.6, then you also need to download the free, stand-alone Adobe DNG Converter 5.3 which does not need any version of Photoshop to run. You need to launch it, convert your raw files to DNGs, then open the DNGs in Camera Raw 4.6 hosted by CS3.
