I need to enable MoodleSession cookie
I am in a webpage where I have a user name and password which works fine, now the company tells me to go to another one of their sites with the same ID to logon. When i logon the message says you must enable cookie MoodleSession or MoodleID to access the page.
Cookies are enabled by default in Firefox. See, [[Enabling and disabling cookies]] for instructions on changing these settings.

I have a Mac OS 10.6.7 running Firefox 4.0.1. What happened to the enable cookies in Preference/Privacy. It's gone and I think I need to enable. I can't log on to Citibank to pay my bills using Firefox or Safari for that matter. Citibank says cookies must be enabled to access their on-line bank. Facebook says I need to enable cookies in order to log in. I am using windows 8.1. I have followed all the steps in the support section and am still getting the same error message.
Note that your System Details list shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time Firefox starts.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be there.
You can check its content with a plain text editor (right-click: Open with) if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time Firefox is started and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.
You can delete possible user.js and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.

I am on 3.6.17. Please don't tell me to upgrade. I shouldn't need to upgrade to solve a cookie problem.
There is usually no need to enable third-party cookies. Only some websites needs them enabled. E.g. you can't logout properly from Hotmail unless third-party cookies are enabled, but apart from that Hotmail (Windows Live) works without problems. You usually notice it when you have to enable third-party cookies because the website gives a warning. You end up with a lot of extra cookies if third-party cookies are enabled, so I keep them disabled and remove the live.com cookies myself in this case.

I just updated to the new operating system which i'm starting to think was a bad idea, because it reset all my settings and I don't know how to fix them.so when I go to safari>preferences>security>uncheck box labled enable java script links on webpages don't work and pictures and links son't want to appear on websites. this made it so webpages don't want to work past loading the content in text format. I have to check enable java script to go the webpages to work right so images and links work again but when I try to apply for this job the error message pops up saying I need to enable cookies and java script.

Cookies were and are enabled. 3rd party were and are enabled. no websites are excluded. Cookies are retained until they expire. Still the websites will not load, but send me to a help page to enable cookies.

A website says I need to enable cookies despite the fact they are already enabled
I attempt to log into the following website:

and after I fill in my information and click on the login button, it says I need to enable cookies although I already have cookies enabled and I have even specifically allowed this website in the cookie settings. Has anyone else had this problem with other websites and if so, how did you fix it?It's not you. The page is malformed. See http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=www.mgmmiragemomentum.com&charset=%28detect+au tomatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0 which indicates the errors. Also, I suspect bad java scripts. You need to contact the site's webmaster. They're using java scripts that fails for the latest versions of Safari and FireFox. Especially frustrating for Mac users who work for them.

First check the settings and try all of the options in the [[websites say cookies are blocked]] article.
In addition to the above, another possible cause is the file that stores cookies is corrupt, if that is the case deleting the file should fix the problem. First you need to locate your profile folder, for details of how to do that see the [[profiles]] article. Once you have opened the profile folder, close Firefox and either delete or rename cookies.sqlite, when you restart Firefox that file will be re-created. -

You need to enable third-party cookies if you want to logout from Hotmail. If you do not want to enable third-party cookies (I don't) then you need to remove the live.login and passport.net cookies yourself.

I need to 'enable download pictures/graphics' in my Comcast email.
I get no images or graphics in my Comcast email. I need to 'enable download pictures/graphics' I believe to fix this. Text within a blank graphics box stated this. I'm using Firefox version 27. Windows XP. Comcast email server. Graphics quite showing in my email several months back all of a sudden. I've cleared the cache and cookies. I believe I tried resetting Firefox to default settings. I could try this again. Don't remember if I did this before or after email graphic problems. Comcast tech support could not help me. Thank you.
Cor-el, there are no links to the email images in Tools>Page Info>Media that I can see. When I right click the image placeholder and click Inspect Element, It shows line after line of what looks like code. No images loading are only a problem in my Comcast email. I've had three tech reps at Comcast try to solve it. None could. Websites load fine. Could the problem have something to do with my graphics card and driver? Thanks.

Cant sign in to Macy's account. Site says, "Please enable session cookies". Checked Safari (Safari 7.0/9537.71) Preferences on OSX 10.9 - Under Privacy > Block Cookies and other website data > is set to "Never". I'm seeing the same problem in my iPad Mini (1st Gen) too. Please Advise.
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
I just bought my laptop & was checking add-on for updates all of the other plug ins updated, & I've installed all up to date, but not sure, I have no knowledge about if I even need to enable the- Unity Player 3.4.0.27242, ( I'm not a gamer) nor do I know what the Google update 1.3.21.69 is use for. Or can it be disabled as well?

Need to enable admin acct with user permission..
I have change the acct type and made ID that is disable an admin.. is the only admin acct in my desktop... when ever i tried anything with admin permission. the AUC will pop up but no where to enter my admin Password... run as does not work either.. because

Since all administrator account was disabled in your system, there is no way to run a program that need admin rights.
You do need to enable administrator account in Computer Management.
