I'm trying to film a demo for an iPad application and was wondering if there's anything out there that will let me film my screen as I go?

If i clean the screen on my first-gen iPad really well in the morning with a dry microfiber cloth and let it sit on my desk all day without touching it, a film builds up on the screen surface. It's a bit like the film that shows up on car windows if they're not washed for a while. My wife has an identical iPad and has not had nearly as much difficulty keeping her screen glass clean as I have. It's also difficult to clean fingerprints off - even a freshly-washed cloth smudges the glass. If I keep at it long enough it eventually comes clean, only to do it all over again tomorrow. I don't understand what is going on here. I just ordered an iPad Air so this problem will go away soon for me, but don't want a new owner to have to deal with it. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
I had the Zagg Invisishield on my iPad from day one until about two weeks ago. I used it first with the Apple case, and then with the Otterbox Defender. When I put it in the Otterbox, I had a difficult time because of the fit. I finally got it all the way in and was quite pleased with it until I needed to remove my iPad from the case. It was a nightmare, but I finally got it out without damaging the iPad or the Otterbox. The Zagg came off after that experience. I enjoyed the protection and durability, but it still picked up finger prints and the screen glare was the same. Today I was at the local Walmart and found a product by Fellowes. Writeright Screen Protectors-2 Pack for $14.95. I figured I'd try one until I could find a suitable alternative. Well, application was simple, the protector is anti-glare and does a great job not picking up fingerprints. It permits my iPad to slide easily in and out of the Otterbox as well. So far, this is working quite well. Time will tell, but based on initial impression and use, I'd recommend this product.

Need to turn on ipad screen with air gesture. possible?
Hi. I am helping a disabled person to set up his ipad in the following way: make a gesture above the ipad to turn it on so he can read the screen. Is that possible? I assume the ipad would have to be on all the time but the screen needs to auto dim and then come back to life when an infrared sensor detects a swipe. I assume infrared is the way to go but I guess the built in camera could also be used to turn on the screen when a certain motion is detected. Anyone? thanks
This is a general user-to-user tech support forum. You're asking about a fairly specialized use case. I don't know of anyone on this forum with much experience in this area. You might be better off looking for forum or site that specializes in such uses. I did a quick internet search for "iPad assistive technology" and came up with a lot of hits. For example:

My just bought ipad with retinal display 32G, screen frozen at one of game my son play. Now I can't turn off ipad, I can log in ipad. I connect ipad to my apple computer, message say I need to unlock the ipad, the problem is I can't even get to ipad home screen to unlock or enter the password. Basically, my ipad is dead. I can't even know what my series number etc. Please help!

Apple iPAD 2. Needs password to unlock iPAD; however there is a permanent keyboard displayed on the screen that does not respond to touch. iPAD switches on with button but does not turn off using it at moment. Can you help please?
Try a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignore the red slider if that appears. See if that clears the glitch.

My iPad screen went black suddenly and is not coming back on. However i can still hear sounds when there are notifications but nothing comes on the screen. It remains blank. What is the problem? I NEED ASSISTANCE A.S.A.P!!!
Try Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

You can try an alternative.
This is the quickest thing that came to mind, but if you want to wipe it with no care of the data on the device at all:
Place device in recovery mode (turn off device > hold home button + plug in to iTunes (WHILE HOLDING BUTTON)).
iTunes will give you an error saying it detected a device in recovery mode, you need to restore to use device. Restoring device is a factory reset. AKA a wipe of the device

Apple does not sell parts. You cannot get a genuine Apple screen, unless it is one that was removed from a damaged or stolen device. If you want genuine, then go with the out of warranty replacement. If you are going to try and replace it yourself, then you get what you get. Take your chances.

watching films from IPAD to TV - I visited the apple store in windsor today and requested info on how to watch films from my IPAD to a flat screen TV - The girl was clueless and tried to sell me a lead which would not even connect to my TV !!!! = I beleive that I need either a composite or a component lead - both avail at the online store but am not aware of the difference between the two ???? grateful for any help
Self help should always come first.
You may want to read the manual anyway, that way you will know more about the kit you own.

Need to delete films from iPad to free up space. How do I do it?
You should be able to delete them via the Edit button at the top right of the films selection screen in the Videos app, or via Settings > General > Usage > Videos (swipe across them from right-to-left). If the films have the cloud symbol on them in the Videos app then they are only in the cloud, you can hide them via Settings > iTunes & App Store > Videos (under the 'show all' heading) 'off'

Why do I need to connect my Ipad mini with my Mac Book Pro via iCloud? I don't have iCloud on my MacBook Pro and only intend to use the mini to check e-mail and use Garage Band and Photo Booth for song writing when traveling . . .
Thanks Community! I solved the problem. In fact it was not a problem but lack of understanding. These guys at Apple are way ahead in thir thinking. I will try to explain as short as I can.
In Lion, ihe Prefferences/Display show only two choices: 6-7 steps of resolution and some color tab. No two screens, no two display to overlap, nothing for us to do. "That was the problem"! Everything is automatic.
When I connected the HDMI cable to the Miniport into a T-bolt slot, the TV screen showed the "spiral galaxy" how Zyriab is calling it. In fact he gave me the best clue. That shows the connection is good. But where is the Mac Book image?
You have to drag it to the right out of the Mac Book display area, and "voila!" it will continue on the TV screen. The same with the mouse pointer, push it out ofthe Mac Book display area and you see it on the TV sreen. Good image, you can keep the max resolution, etc. The sound is still on the Book's speakers. I have to figure that out.

My ipad screen suddenly went dark without any external forces. At first I can hear the unlock/ lock sound when I slide across the screen and so touching is not a problem.
I proceeded to sync my ipad and was prompted to upgrade to ios 7.0. I upgraded thinking it will solve the issue, yet even the unlock/lock sounds have disappeared after which leads me to think that the ipad can't even enter the homescreen.
Since I can still see white apple and itunes mark on a lit screen during recovery mode, I don't think it's a hardware issue with the screen. I tried to restore it (with another prompt to upgrade to ios 7.02) but I failed and the restore error No. is 3041.
I copied the error log here, hope someone can give me some suggestions.

How can I connect my Ipad Air to my PC to see the Ipad screen on the PC?
I have connected them via the Ipad to a LIGHTNING DIGITAL AV ADAPTER-ZML connected to a APPLE HDMI TO HDMI CABLE (1.8 M)-ZML, and to the HDMI port on the PC. But now I don't know how to show the Ipad screen on the PC, as if it was a monitor / screen, so that I can then use Lync and share my PC screen with people virtually.

I have downloaded an iOS update on my iPad air2 but it has locked the screen and I can only see the iTunes symbol with a white arrow and a padlock below it. I have tried turning the iPad off and on but the same screen reappears. Has anyone had a similar problem?
What that symbol indicates is that your iPad has gone into recovery mode and now it needs to be restored in order for you to be able to use it again. You can reboot from now until the cows come home and it will not do any good.
You do indeed need to plug your iPad into your computer and use iTunes to restore the device.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
Just in case you need to use recovery mode.....
