I need to find a family-friendly content filter for an old imac, please help!
Hi, I really really need to find some kind of parental controls/adult content filter software that will block adult websites on an iMac 1.3.9. I have tried google but the only results that come up are not compatible with such an old computer. (of course, all of the newer computers have parental controls built into the system so they don't even need the software anyway, very frustrating) If you have any ideas or know of a specific software I can look for, please, please tell me, I would be so grateful. Thank you!

So do the older ones. Which OS are you using? Read the Help Menu and/or search Knowledge Base on "how to set up parental controls."

We'll need more information before anyone can be of much help. What model iPhone is it, what versions of iOS are running on the iPad 2 now, what exactly are you trying to update, and what version of iTunes are you running? And what exactly is going wrong (include error messages if any).
Once we have that information, someone here can probably offer advice. Note that you cannot sync content or upgrade iOS wirelessly until you get your iPhone and iPad up to iOS 5 and that requires that you connect those devices to your computer via the Dock-USB cable.

Finder is not showing up when I startup my Imac::: Please help!
When I start up my Imac G5 and login, I see only my desktop image and the spotlight icon in the top right corner. When I rollover the spotlight I get the spinning wheel. The only thing that is getting Finder to launch is inserting a CD; when I do that Itunes and Finder, dock etc. all show up and work normally.
Does anyone know what is going on?
Also, I just updated Itunes and OSX if that has anything to do with this problem.Spotlight is probably indexing, if you have a fair amount of data, it can take a while.
If you used Software Update to download 10.4.9, try re-updating using the 10.4.9 combo update, that often solves problems like yours.

I follwed all the instructions on manuals for both iPAD and iTunes re syncing, but after physically connecting iPAD with iMac with USB or via WiFi I still cannot find "phone button" under Device name on iTunes page. Please help! Thanks!
I have been creating a photo book using a lots of photographs on iPhoto, and then I took another photos by using new iPAD which I want to integrate with the original album/book on iMac. I was able to import them from iPAD's iPhoto to iMac's iPhoto. However I cannot import or transfer or sync anything from iMac's iPhoto to that of my iPAD.
So my iPhoto page on iPAD contains only 3 or 4 newly created albums, and no other info. That means no syncing....
I am supposed to be able to work on this project on either of these iPAD and iMac, correct?

Thank you for the help. Every app on my phone was downloaded using my old I-tunes ID. I just hope that they will re-download under my new ID because I still can't change it on my phone. In order to change to the new ID it says I have to sign out from the old ID and change to the new one. My problem is that I don't remember my password to be able to sign out from my old ID. Then the phone says it can change my password through e-mail and I agree but I never get an e-mail at my old address or the new one.

If Join was on then your home wi-fi must be set to Non-Broadcast. If you did not set this up (maybe your provider did) then you will need to find the Network Name they used, and any password they used. The SSID is Security Set ID and to see more try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSID . Basically it is the name used to identify your router/network. A lot of times the installer will leave it set as LinkSys, or Broadcom or whatever the manufacturer set it as for default. Your best bet is to get whoever installed it to walk you through how they set it up, giving you id's and passwords so you can get in. HOWEVER, if you are not comfortable with this (if you set security wrong, etc.) you would be well ahead of the game to hire a local computer tech (networking) to get this working for you. You can also contact the vendor of your router and get help (if it is still in warranty), or at least get copies of the manuals as pdf files. Sorry I can't give you more help, I hope this gives you an idea where to go from here to find more.

Is the app still in your country's store (if it isn't then you won't be able to redownload it), you haven't changed countries since buying it (content is tied to the country as well as the account), and it isn't hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919 ?
If the app is no longer in your country's store then do you have a copy of it on your computer's iTunes library and/or on your backup of your downloads/library ? -

The friend who sold it to you needed to clear his Apple ID off the phone before he sold it to you. Of course if it wasn't his phone in the first place then he could not do so. He is your friend but you don't know where he is?
There is nothing that will help you short of getting the password for the Apple ID from your friend. If you cannot obtain that there is no workaround. -

Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over. -
