For FREE do the following:
When you get to othe part of the video you want a still shot from, put the video on pause.
Take a screen shot: Apple>Shift>4 - which will produce a cross hair so you can manually select which part of the video you want.Check inside either your Applications or Utility folder for an app called Grab. Will do the above with just a single click.
If you still want to purchase software, suggest that you do a Google & MacUpdate search. This way, you can find exactly what you want.

You can't change the Apple ID that the Authorize dialog comes up with by default. It's showing you that Apple ID for a reason: it means that the items you want to play were purchased using that Apple ID and therefore you need to authorize your computer with that Apple ID. Changing the Apple ID given completely defeats the entire purpose.
If you don't know the password to the given Apple ID, then you will no longer be able to play those items. -

Hello, I also have a Sony Handycam; trying to download movies to the my Mac Book Pro 15" was very a very slow process but it is possible. Then I tried to download the movies into an external hard drive (my computer's memory got filled really fast) and from that just work from iMove but after searching through Sony's website I read it is necessary to acquire a transference cable to improve this process.

Suggestions please.Your MBP sees the Bluetooth keyboard but won't pair with it probably because the keyboard is pairing with another computer or device nearby. If you had previously paired the same keyboard with another device, go to the other computer or device and either unpair it or have the device "forget" the keyboard. Then you will be able to pair the keyboard with your MBP.

Possible to boot MacBook Pro Core i7 from an APM FireWire drive?
Hi everyone,
is there a way to boot the current MacBook Pros from a FireWire drive which uses Apple Partition Map instead of GUID? I’m asking, because I use a FW drive with lots of partitions containing service tools, etc. This needs to be used on older PPC Macs, too. So until now I just used it with APM, because this also worked fine with Intel Core (2) Duo Macs. The problem is that it no longer seems to work with the current Macs.
Is there a way to fix this or will I need to carry 2 external drives from now on?

BjörnThanks, I assumed something like that. While trying to boot 10.6.3 from my APM drive it would halt at the grey screen without the spinning, so I thought booting off APM drives is no longer possible. I know that it’s not officially supported for Intel Macs, but it always worked. Maybe I will just wait if 10.6.4 automagically solves this.
I was playing with the USB stick option too, but as long as I can keep everything on 1 drive I will do that. Currently there is everything from 10.3.9 to 10.6.3 on it.

Apple TV not recognizing with 2011 Macbook Pro? Try this, possible fix!!!
Ok so we all know there is compatibility issues with previous devices working with the brand new MBP notebooks. One device especially are Blackberry phones, they just do not work because the software used on them was designed around 32bit OS. Now with the new Macbook Pro computers they run a complete 64Bit OS and it is up to everyone even Apple to update their software to work with it (you are going to wait a bit because it does take time to develop working products!). So let's try this, and please give feedback if this works or not because I am curious if it is as simple as this:
(By the way this will ABSOLUTELY work for your Blackberry not being recognized by brand new MBP notebooks!)
-Shut down the computer
-When the computer is shut down hold down the number keys "3" + "2".
-While holding those keys press the power button just to turn on the computer and KEEP HOLDING the keys until the Apple Logo and spinning gear is gone.
-Congrats you have now booted up into 32Bit mode for OS X 10.6! Yay.
Now try to synch with Apple TV. Hopefully it is as simple as this otherwise a lot of people are having a whole lot of networking issues! I honestly think this may resolve your issue as I read that a lot of people can still view the Apple TV on their old computers but just not their new ones :X Good luck!I am not having the issue, this was a general post to try to potentially help people that are experiencing this issue. Just from experience and deducing from some of the posts I have read about the issue this seemed like the logical first step to fixing the issue. Most likely it is not IPv6 because IPv4 is still the default IP address, most router will only use IPv4 currently. And I can still see my Apple TV with IPv6 enabled .
Turning IPv6 off would honestly have no effect on this issue just because they most likely are already connected to the internet and browsing they just cannot connect to their Apple TV. But thanks for yur response! -
Upon the return of a viruse stricken PC and re-downloading itunes. I noticed my playlists have been deleted. I however still have the playlists on my touch. Is it possible to sync my playlists back to my PC?

My Apple bluetooth keyboard will not reconnect with my MacBook Pro...
It's been working flawlessly until this morning...I tried everything. It's still listed under devices but keeps giving an error message for connecting. New batteries and all. I rebooted my comp and also tried the erasing of keyboard in the previous BT devices list. I've been battling with this for over 3 hours now, any help will be greatly appreciated!

thanks for any info.I don't know about your particular configuration but usually Disk Utility not recognizing a drive means the drive/card is history. My G4 running OSX 10.4.11 will format SD cards.
I don't know your model computer. Is this one with a SD slot built in? If it is, do you have an external reader, or can you try another card in this slot to see if it is a slot problem? -

Hi Apple Team, my iphone can't share bluetooth files with my macbook pro. But other devices can share bluetooth files with my mac book pro. Please, kindly open up bluetooth to accept all connections from all devices. Now it difficult for me to share bluetooth files from my mac bookpro to my iphone, unless i attached it through email.

I have a Macbook Pro Early 2011 from the USA. It is now running Mavericks. I connect it to a 27" Cinema Display that I bought in China after we moved to China. Before I installed Mavericks, I could run all of the Adobe CS6 and Adobe CS5.5 applications on my Macbook Pro while connected to the cinema display. Now that I have Mavericks installed, whenever I am connected to my 27" CInema display my Adobe applications crash upon opening. I know this is a rare scenario, but does anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem? Is there a new driver that needs installed? I'd appreciate any help.
I am also having a similar issue. I used Adobe Lightroom and my whole display goes black. Even my laptop screen and the lights on the keyboard go black. I can still hear the fan running, so I assume it is just the display. This is my first Mac and I have had nothing but issues. I think I am going back to Windows after this.
