I need to get my iphone 4s replaced

Dears Apple,
   i had a problem with my wifi (iphone 4s) since i upgraded from 5.1.1 to 6.0. my WIFI button grayed out and i cant turn on my wifi.
   i tried everything. restoring, updating to newer version of software nothing worked out for me.
   one i lost hope of being software problem, i contacted your apple store on UK. i spent about 1 hour talking to your support guy most of this hour i was on hold.
   after checking my iphone hardware warranty he told me that im still covered. and he will start the replacement procedure. then he put me on hold for about 15     minutes to tell that his supervisor told him that he cant replace my phone since im not supported "Region" (im from Palestine by the way).even i asked him to     send it to israel and i will pick it up from there, but he refused and told me that he will give me a phone number for person who would help fixing my phone.
  i dont care if im in unsupported area or not. i want my phone being replaced.
   would you help in this?
   if i knew this would happen i wouldn't upgrade my iphone to 6.0.
  what is the suitable action to be made to get my phone replaced????

Don't give out personal details on this forum - it is a user to user forum and NOT Apple.
If you want help with your problem then I would suggest that you contact Apple directly - http://www.apple.com/feedback.
I'm not surprised that a UK Apple store won't replace your phone because warranty on the iPhone is not international and is country specific, so you need to contact Apple or an Apple reseller in the country in which you purchased your iPhone originally.  They won't ship internationally.  Go back to the country that you bought the phone in.
Contact Apple directly and don't post personal details on a user forum.

    To replace your phone's screen costs $109US and I don't see why having Apple replace the screen would void your warranty.

    ok so i have verizon and my family is switching to at&t and i'm gonna get an iphone, so is it possible to go to at&t and set up a family plan and a line for me with unlimited data but just not get the phone at at&t because i'm pretty sure they wont even have any, so i dont get one at at&t and just go to apple and get one as an upgrade or something? idk i'm confused on what i should do, any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Did you actually check whether your local AT&Tstore has any iPhones is stock? I don't think you can set up a line on a family plan without a phone but you probably can add an iPhone to an existing plan, adding the data plan, and extending the contract. You also can order an iPhone at the AT&T store when setting up the plan.
    This best advice is to call AT&T first and ask them

    My iPhone 4 is around 2 years old now, and it has been working pretty well. But from a few weeks, I am facing problems in the touchscreen. First, the bottom left corner went unresponsive (making me tilt the phone everytime I needed to insert a symbol). The a few days back the entire left edge of the screen got dead. And today, even the bottom edge of the screen has become unresponsive to touch. So you see, the defect is spreading. Typing on my dear phone has become a pain. I have taken utmost care of my phone and the screen is *scratchless*. I have never dropped my phone. There has been no physical damage AT ALL.
    I have seen many discussions where the phone got replaced by a brand new one, but most of then have been in the USA. I am living in New Delhi, India and I would like to know if any such replacement schemes are available here. And if yes, are they applicable in my case? If not replaceable, how much will a new touchscreen cost my pocket here in India?

    Guys, I'm from the U.S. but I'm currently stranded in Canada due to other complications. My iPhone 5C suddenly died on me and we've pretty much determined that the LCD is dead and that I need to go to the Apple Store to get it replaced.
    1. Will it cost me? I don't have warranty and I just feel really cheated that this would happen in my dire time of need, when my cellphone is one of my very few life lines at the moment. My phone is not jailbroken and it just randomly went black and died on me.
    2. Whether it will cost me or not, can I get a replacement even though I'm from a different country? Or can I not because the U.S. and Canadian 5Cs are different?

    I just feel cheated by life I guess? I've never had a glaring random happening like this. I've dropped it in water ONCE, and I owned up to it and paid a hefty fine to replace it. But being stranded and my phone being one of my few forms of communication..for it to suddenly go out like this? I just feel really cheated by life and my phone. I know it sounds odd but argh...

    My wife and I both have 64GB iphone 5. I am military and we had to move to a new town. Our service is with AT&T. They called us to tell us we were off network, and we could not use any of the data we pay for every month. And they have the option to terminate our contract at any time. So my question is, if this happens does anyone know if carriers, or apple will switch out your phone, or do we have to buy new ones.

    Afraid you will have to buy new phones.  Neither Apple nor any carrier I've ever had has considered that sort of thing a condition to replace your devices (AT&T and others have let people out of their contracts without penalty because of moving though).
    Before you leave AT&T, ask them to unlock your phones.  Then, you may be able to use them with T-Mobile - although T-Mobile is not fully compatable with all iPhone features yet, their service may be an option until you are ready to buy new devices.  Also, your iPhone 5's would likely still get you a decent return if you sold them, or just used something like Gazelle (Gazelle's web site just came up with an offer of $380 for 32GB iPhone 5, factory unlocked in flawless condition - $400 for your 64GB devices with the same conditions).
    So, you should be able to get enough for your iPhone 5's to pay the subsidized new contract cost of new iPhones with Verizon or Sprint.

    The warranty does not include accidental damage. Even if it did, it is not an international warranty, and the phone would have to be returned to Canada.  Canada will not deal with addresses or credit cards outside Canada.
    Get it repaired by a third party, or buy a new one. In india.

    What types of reasons will Apple replace a Iphone?  I recieved my Iphone 4s on the first day of release and it always seemed like something was wrong with it. The phone has to search for a signal for awhile when first booting and occasionally even though it says I have 3g it says I'm not connected to a network. My Iphone also gets really hot for just surfing the web or something simple but this doesn't always occur. I have made sure to close out all running apps but it still runs hot regardless and I have also reset my network settings and my phone a few times but that hasn't helped either when the problems do occur. Recently my wifi doesn't always work even though it says it has a full connection so I end up having to turn it off then it works again in 3g but if I turn wifi back on it doesn't work again. Like I said this doesn't happen all the time but it happens enough since I've had it that I'm convinced something isn't right. I'm hoping to take it to the genius bar like I did with my 3gs and hopefully they will replace it. So will they replace it if the problems don't actually occur when I bring it to the genius bar?

    Thank you for your quick response and I will try doing that today and see what happens. Hopefully it isn't defective but if these problems do continue to occur I will bring it to the genius bar to have them test it. I had a great experience at the genius bar the first time I went and I know they will help me anyway they can to figure out the problem.

    I am trying to back up my new Iphone on to ICloud.  It shows I dont have enough storage because it still has stuff from the old IPhone.  How can I back up this phone and erase from the other.  Apple kept the other phone when they replaced it.  If I hit the delete storage for the other phone (which shows up on the Icloud Icon on this phone) will I lose everything on this phone?  That's what I want to avoid....

    If it's corrupt, generally it would be lost.
    However, there is third-party software out there that can retrieve some of the data, those of which however I could not recommend as I have never done so myself.
    Also, if the old 4S was running a more recent software version than the current 4S, that may cause the issue however usually iTunes tells you exactly that.
    Good luck in retrieving that information.

  • How can I get an iphone to replace my mom's old phone without activating it until she opens it?

    The guy at the store was a real jerk.  He said I could not get the new phone and delay the switch or activate it myself, that once I got her the new phone I could not leave the store without activating it and turning off her existing phone!  He was very rude about it and truly made me dislike the Apple store.  I had done this once before, but now thinking back I think I ordered the upgrade online.  He called me a liar and said I had done no such thing in the past that it was impossible.  I asked if I could do it if I just bought the phone full price and he said no.  He said there is no humanly possible way to buy an iphone that was not activated at the time of purchase, and if I wanted to keep her existing phone number there was no way to do it with her phone staying on until the day we gave her the new one that the minute I buy her the new phone her old one will be turned off.
    This seems wrong and not the best marketing for Apple. 
    So is he right?  Can you no longer get a new or upgraded phone as a surprise for someone?
    We have to go in now before the party to do the switch so we can get her the surprise but keep her phone on (except for maybe an hour before she opens the present and hopefully she doesn't get stranded on the road on teh way to the party in that no phone service window!...)

    I will assume you are in the U.S. (only because I don't know how this works in other countries).  I will also assume you know your mom's current cellular carrier, want to stay with that carrier, and that is a carrier that works with Apple iPhone under contract (AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint).
    Certainly if an iPhone is ordered through the Apple Store online, it doesn't have to be activated until the purchaser is ready to activate it.  Activation is accomplished by iTunes when setting up the iPhone.
    These days, it is possible to order an iPhone from the Apple Store online, and have it made available for pickup at the Apple Store (instead of delivering it to a home or office).
    So, bottom line, the new iPhone would be ready to go with a pre-determined phone number and carrier, purchased at the (subsidized) carrier rate, and become activated when the purchaser is ready to do so by plugging into iTunes.
    I think that's exactly what you are trying to do, and exactly what you have been told is not possible.  I don't believe for a minute it's not possible (given the assumptions in my first paragraph).
