I want to download an older version of Firefox for testing Oracle certified versions (for PeopleSoft PeopleTools). I found the directory of older versions but need instructions for the steps needed to download the desired version, which is version 17. Thank you for your help.
The latest Firefox 17 ESR ''(Extended Support Release)''' for Windows is available here: <br />
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/17.0.6esr/win32/en-US/
If you will be installing that version on a PC which already has a different version of Firefox installed, you will need to create a new Profile fir the ESR version. Let us know and we'll tell you how to create a new Profile. -
My tesm develops .net applications that must support many browsers and we need access to download older versions of FireFox for windows and mac computers, so that we can test our application prior to rolling out a new version.
Where can I download older versions of FireFoxFirefox 3.5 is an antique version that is chock-full of security vulnerabilities.<br>
Firefox 3.6 also contains security vulnerabilities; it stopped being supported on April 24.

If you can't run the latest version because your system doesn't meet the requirements, it's highly recommended that you use another browser that is secure. TenFourFox is a third-party build of Firefox that is kept up-to-date and runs on Mac OS X 10.4 and PowerPC Macs (as a side note, I've never seen the site go down; whatever problems James noticed 9 months ago must've been a fluke).

If your system can run the latest version, but you want to downgrade because you've experienced problems, please start a new thread and someone will try to help you.
If you understand the security risks but want to downgrade anyway,

If I have my ITunes up to version 10.6.3, what do I need to get to version 10.7 for my new Iphone 5 to be able to work on my macbook to add my songs to my phone
Hi Jeff,
Apple ID (required for some features)
Internet access5
Syncing with iTunes on a Mac or PC requires:
Mac: OS X v10.6.8 or later
PC: Windows 7; Windows Vista; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 3 or later
iTunes 10.7 or later (free download from www.itunes.com/download)
http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html
Snow Leopard/10.6.x Requirements...
General requirements
* Mac computer with an Intel processor
* 1GB of memory (I say 4GB at least, more if you can afford it)
* 5GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
* DVD drive for installation
* Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.
* Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.
Which apps work with Mac OS X 10.6?...

It's been pulled from the online store & Apple Stores, so you have to call Apple to buy it, last I heard.

When I upgrate firefox, do I need to deinstall older versions?

I need access to older versions of FireFox and checksums for these files.
For each version listed below I need the installation download file and md5/shaXXX checksum from Mozilla for each download.
WindowsOS: Firefox v3.5, v3.6
Solaris 10 x86: Firefox v3.5, v3.6
Solaris sparc: Firefox v3.6.17
filename: firefox-3.6.17.en-US.solaris-10-fcs-sparc-pkgEverything you want for current Firefox 3.6 is on the FTP server here:
* ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest-3.6/
There's two big files for all MD5 and SHA1 sums of everything. Solaris is under the contrib dir.
The current version of Firefox 3.x is 3.6.23. Firefox 3.5 is no longer supported and Firefox 3.6 is considered a direct update (aka minor update) to Firefox 3.5; when Firefox 3.5 users check for updates they go directly to 3.6 for security and stability fixes.
If you really need an old version for testing purposes, you can get any version of Firefox that ever existed off of the FTP server:

I need to gain access to a work web site that does not yet support firefox 4.0 can I get an older version for my android device
Sorry, Firefox 4 is the first version that was developed for Android. But you can install this add-on and then set your "User Agent" preference to "desktop Firefox" to make web sites think you are using Firefox 3.6:

Am unable to open material with newer browser versions. How can I get an older version?
You can use the portable Firefox 2 version for such sites.
See:
* http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/browsers/portable_firefox
You can find the portable Firefox 2.0.0.20 version under "Mozilla Firefox, P.E. Legacy > Mozilla Firefox":

My company uses SalesForce CRM and recently changed wholesale to Macs. Unfortunately, certain functions in SalesForce are not compatible with the current version of Safari or any version of FireFox newer than 3.0 and we need to be able to use those functions. How can I download that version for the Mac?
There is also a portable Firefox 3.0 version via this link:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/osxportableapps/PortableFirefox_3.0_en-US-OSX_r4.0u.dmg?download
It can take some time before the download starts. -
Is it possible to download an older version of firefox, for example firefox 3.6?
I have firefox 4.0 but need an older version to get a certain program to function.
You can install a portable version of older Firefox versions or do a custom install to have more than one Firefox version installed.
Do a custom install and install each version in its own program folder to use multiple Firefox versions.
* [[Custom installation of Firefox on Windows]]
Create a new profile exclusively for each Firefox version and create a desktop shortcut with -P "profile" appended to the target to launch each Firefox version with its own profile.

Need to dowload correct version of Firefox for Mac OS X 10.3.9
I have an old Mac which I will be retiring soon...as soon as I can get my information off it. To do so, I need to be able to use Firefox to upload it to a cloud storage system. But... I need the correct version of Firefox which will work with my old system. Any ideas? I certainly appreciate it.
The last version of Firefox to work on OS X 10.3.9 was Firefox 2.0.0.20, you can get it from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0.0.20/mac/en-US/
That link is for the English-US version. -
Install older version of Firefox for Mac OSX 10.4.11
I accidentally downloaded and wrote over the Firefox version I had with the new 7.0 version of Firefox after I read that my Mac OSX 10.4.11 is not compatible. Is there a way to download an older version, a compatible version of Firefox?
None of links I tried for Mac on the page http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html are working. But I found a version on the FTP server: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6.28/mac/

Site requires Firefox 2.0 or 3.0
There were three major versions of Firefox 3 as in 3.0.*, 3.5.* and the still currently updated 3.6.*
If it is just for this one thing and to make it portable even if you have a flash drive, perhaps the Portable Firefox would be of interest.
Firefox 3.6.22 is at

I tried to send a page and the 'installing social services' sequence required me to update to "at least version 29." However, my system is up to date. I do so religiously.
So I thought I would send a support note to ask about that and the support sequence too fired back a message, "looks like your Firefox is out of date." I captured both that any my version info in the attached graphic.
I have gone through several re-installs to clear this problem but it keeps happening. Why?
I also see in the "educated guesses" of my system, below this note, that your system is showing my FF version as 26.0! Can a resident piece of malware hijack FF that badly to deny the updates from proceeding yet present a dialog that shows me as being on 37.0.1? I'm speculating here as this issue confuses me. By the way, I have used Kaspersky--also up to date--for ages.
And I still was not able to send that page, so over to Chrome/Explorer I must go!See this:

Your User Agent is corrupted. It shows Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 '''Firefox/26.0 ZemanaAID/FFFF0089''' -
Installed Firefox 4.0 after using Internet Explorer for many years. Everything works fine, except cannot scan on HP Photosmart C4480 printer/scanner/copier. Can copy and use printer, just cannot scan pictures in any more. HP help center will not open.
Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.

For Mac OS X 10.4.11 or Mac OS X 10.5.8 you can look at:
