I got photoshop as a present for christmas and i've been trying to install it since then, but have been unsucessful.
I photograped and e-mailed photos of my student ID and latest school report to get my serial number, but i have not received a reply and my parents and I are getting VERY impatient.
What else do I have to do? Why wont someone reply to me and give me my serial number so i can start using my photoshop? :'(
By the way i have Photoshop CS5 Extended.

You can install PhotoShop CS5 in trial mode while waiting for your serial number. Beyond that I would recommend reviewing Education FAQ. In particular I would recommend reviewing the section titlted How do I check the status of my education order?

I need help. I purchased a new Adobe photoshop elements 11 from Best Buy and I have all the boxes. I try and install this using the numbers on the back of the inner liner but it keeps saying invalid serial number go back and try again. What am I doing wrong???? JIM

When I bought PSE11 at Best Buy, I think that number on the back of the box (a boxid lets call it) is something that has to be entered into a website to get the serial number. The instructions, Including any website, should all be there if you have all what was in the box.
Best Buy transmits what boxids have been sold in real-time to Adobe from the cash-register, and Adobe checks the boxid you enter into the website with the list of actual sold boxes they’ve gotten from Best Buy, before they will issue the serial number.

Do I need to install this wireless toolkit?

I just downloaded and successfully installed NetBeans IDE 5.0 and then also installed the NetBeans Profiler 5.0 and NetBeans Mobility Pack 5.0.
So I would like to know if I would also need this wireless toolkit to be installed in order to develop applications for the mobiles.

Hi Vicki, you also mentioned your home page changing. If Yahoo is your home page, this is normal as they keep updating things.
In some cases, if your home page is a specific server address instead of a more general address like
* http://www.yahoo.com/
* http://my.yahoo.com/
* http://mail.yahoo.com/
then Yahoo will need to redirect your browser to a different server.
Users have reported on this forum that this can lead to email problems like broken features as well as display glitches.
To make sure you get the server that Yahoo intends for you, please go to one of the above Yahoo addresses and follow the link to your email. Hopefully this will resolve any problem with the redirection and you can save the new address in place of the old one (home page, bookmark, etc.).
Also, when you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site. If Yahoo support did not already recommend this, here are the steps:
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

I need help installing this.

I am a student and bought this in a college store. I did everything thing it said to do. I am even on a brand new Mac book pro I am not sure what I am doing wrong here. Everytime I go to install it say error. Somebody please help me.

If it's a brand new Macbook Pro, I'd assume it's running 10.6, and if you're installing for the first time, I'll guess you might be trying to install from a cd? If so, the installer on the cd wasn't compatible with 10.6 (released later) - just download the trial version of LR (which is 2.6) and enter your serial number into that.

Is this card an upgrade from something else? If so, you should uninstall the old drivers from the "add/remove programs" control panel, reboot with the new card plugged in, then hit "cancel" when prompted by Windows for drivers. Then run the driver installation program.
As for the "windows logo" question, Windows XP likes to ask for digitally signed drivers as proof that they meet certain criteria set by Microsoft. It's not usually a big deal.
If you're installing the drivers from your CD, you may want to grab the latest Catalyst drivers from ATI instead http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html

Your video clips will import directly into iMovie. It's a great video editing program. I'll include some quick video tutorials to get you started below:
