I need to join a microsoft live meeting can I do that on my iMac?

My work want me to attend a microsoft live meeting and I can't get it to come up on my IMac.  There are ony two more times tomorrow and I really don't want to go into an office to do this because I don't have a pc.  Does anyone know if it can be downloaded on an IMac and how?

Ask the organisers for guidance. Also look to the right on this page under 'More like this'.

  • Microsoft Live Meeting Hangs in Mavericks

Has anyone been able to get Microsoft Live Meeting to work under OS 10.9 Mavericks in Safari?
I have tried Safari, Chrome, and Firefox, all with no success.
Safari gets to a point where it says it is downloading the web console and it never gets beyond that point.
I know I can do it under Parallels but I would prefer to do it on the Mac natively if possible.
    thanks

I had the same problem on 10.9.2 (13C48) / Safari 7.0.2 and Java 7_51. A combination of this post and using Firefox got it working. To summarise:
Go to 'Systems Preferences > Java'. The Java preferences opens as a seperate window
Under General tab, select setting Run applets: in their own process (some MAC computers does not have this option, please proceed to the next step)
    Go to the ‘Advanced’ tab.
- Look for the option “Mixed code (sandboxed vs. trusted) security verification”.
Select “Enable - hide warning and run with protection”.
Under “Java Console” section, check “Show Console”
Under “Debugging” section, check the following: “Enable tracing”, “Enable logging”, and “Show applet lifecycle exceptions”
    Restart Firefox if it's open
Once this is enabled when you follow the steps to join you will get a debugging window that pops up and gives you a window into seeing all the code you never cared about but you can just ignore this. Also be sure to click the “allow” button on a small window that pops up asking if you want to allow the applet to run.
    Happy use of Live Meeting!

  • Editing Microsoft Live Meeting video in Premiere Pro

    Hi list...
I'm trying to edit a Microsoft Live Meeting video capture in Premiere Pro CS3/Win.  The Live Meeting video is 4fps.  I can make the edits, but it's exporting at 30fps no matter what settings I try to choose, thereby significantly increasing the outputted file's size compared to the original.  What kind of settings can I use to preserve a small file size, while maintaining the video's original dimensions.  The audio was low quality mono, 8khz.
    thanks,
    - Michael M.

Well, there's not really any absolute correlation between your sequence's frame rate and the frame rate of the export you create from it. You can set the frame rate of the export to (most) anything you want. I was able to export a 4fps WMV file without having a 4fps sequence.
Now, you may have some frame blending that occurs if you're using a clip that doesn't match the frame rate of the sequence. As we've discovered (didn't notice this until you pointed it out), you can't go below 10fps on a sequence/project preset. So, what I would suggest would be to use a sequence timebase that is an even multiple of your desired export; I think you could use 24.000fps (not 23.976fps) and turn off Frame Blending (right-click your clip and uncheck it) so that when you export to a 4fps WMV, only the original source frames are used--not interpolated frames. Does that make sense?

  • Java/microsoft live meeting on lion

Seeing java freeze on lion using microsoft live meeting with safari 5.1. Tried SSL and TLS, same result. Unable to view meetings.

So this still seems the state of play:
For participating in Live Meeting under Lion:
Make sure that in the Java Preferences in the Advanced tab the last option on the list "Verify mixed security code (sandbox vs. trusted)" is set to "Enable - run with protections, no warnings". As found under the
    link given above.
For presenting in Live Meeting under Lion:
There seems no solution yet as a certain component called "hostforjava" which is used by Live Meeting is written for PowerPC only - and therefore does not run under Lion.
I've done a lot of searching to see if there's a workaround (installing Rosetta from the Snow Leopard DVD etc.) would help - but the little that can be found so far ends in a plain "no". Seems we have to wait for Microsoft (or whover wrote the hostforjava element) to update this piece - or - someone knows a trick here.
    Cheers Chris

  • Microsoft Live Meeting

A client (PC-based) wants to use Microsoft Live Meeting 2007, but this doesn't open up  properly on my MacBookPro since upgrading to Lion.  All software shows as current.   Suggestions anyone?

I've since upgraded to OS X 10.9.1, and to Java Version 7 Update 51.    For LiveMeeting to run I had to lower the Java 'Security' settings (through the Java Control Panel in System Preferences)   to 'Medium'.
This enabled me to log in and view the LiveMeeting screen, but I am still not getting Audio for some reason.

As I said you need to:
You need to wipe the hard disk and reinstall the OS by booting into the recovery partition and reinstall the original OS via the internet. It will ask you to enter your ID

  • G'day.  I am using iMovie 11 and need to clear disk space.  How can I do that using an external drive, leaving me the option to go back and make changes or access old events or projects from that external drive?

G'day.  I am using iMovie 11 and need to clear disk space.  How can I do that using an external drive, leaving me the option to go back and make changes or access old events or projects from that external drive?

The slightly bigger question is whether you want to move all movie content to the external drive (essentially meaning that drive will always need to be attached when you're working with your videos), or whether you just want to archive older videos off to the external drive.
If you want to move all videos, then just move the 'Movies' folder in your home directory to the external drive, then create an alias of the external 'Movies' back in to your home directory. Now the 'Movies' icon in your home directory will point to the external drive and everything will just work (as long as the external drive is attached when you launch iMovie)
If you want to archive older movies then each Movie should have its own subdirectory within your Movies folder. These can easily be moved off to the external drive, and moved back should you ever need to work on those movies again.

  • HT201269 My iPhone5 was stolen and need to back up all data How can I do that?

My iPhone5 was stolen and need to back up all data How can I do that?

If you mean data from the iPhone itself, you can't back up anything from it now that it's no longer in your possession. If you didn't previously back up to iTunes or iCloud, then unless you are lucky enough to recover the iPhone intact, any data on it is lost.
    Regards.

  • Can I use Microsoft Live Meeting

I'm having trouble connect to Microsoft Live Meetings on my Macbook Pro using Firefox broswer.  What do I need to do to allow me to attend Live Meetings from my Mac?
    Bob

    No, you cannot.
For all platforms, NAT with support for Microsoft's NetMeeting application requires either a "J" or an "0" image, enterprise feature set or Cisco IOS Firewall feature set respectively.

  • HT3258 I have a iMac w/ MAC OS x10.5.8 and I need to upgrade to os 10.6.8 or better.  Can I do that on a iMac?

    Anyone know the answer

Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You must purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
             7. Xserve (Early 2009)
         Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.
Am I eligible for the free upgrade?
See Apple - Free OS X Mountain Lion upgrade Program.
For a complete How-To introduction from Apple see Upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.
